Adventist Teaching: No
Biblical Teaching: Yes
Adventist theology is beholden to the writings of Ellen G. White. In her telling of the fall of man in Genesis, she asserts that Adam and Eve were warned of a powerful angel who had fallen from Heaven and would come to tempt them. Because of this, an angel instructed Eve to not wander away from her husband.
Eve did, however, proceed to wander away from her husband where Satan used a counterfeit miracle to make it appear as though the serpent was able to talk. He then proceeded to tempt her, pluck the fruit from the tree, put it in her hand, and she ate it. Upon doing so, she took armfuls of the fruit to find Adam who she had wandered away from to be used by Satan as a means to tempt and deceive Adam.
None of this is found in the Bible, but is coming from Ellen G. White who they teach gives inspired details not found within the biblical text. She blatantly contradicts the scriptures which tell us very plainly that Adam was with Eve when she was tempted by Satan (Genesis 3:6).
