I am sharing with you from my heart today because you as church leaders and God’s people need to know where we stand today number one a lack of understanding the Bible how to interpret it an antagonism against the very word of God you see the 7th Day Adventist Church believes in the authenticity and authority of God’s word the Holy Bible and it is to be applied to all people everywhere for all time the church accepts only I going to underline that only the historical biblical or historical grammatical method of interpreting scripture allowing the Bible to
Interpret itself line upon line verse upon verse precept upon precept through the power of the Holy Spirit yeah this is not true which is why tonight we’re going to be discussing one of the key ways in my opinion that adventism tricks Christians and Adventists alike using the Bible to do so it is good to be back with you and an especially warm welcome if this is your first time with us Adventist or otherwise so for those that do do not know today is Reformation day and while there’s a lot of Martin Luther folklore surrounding such there’s also a lot of
Good truth one of those things was the Resurgence in the historical grammatical method of Bible interpretation which is why it seemed like the perfect day to address this vitally important subject but before diving into it if you like what we’re doing here please consider becoming a channel member you will gain access to our growing library of members only content including members only live streams it is through your partnership with us that we are able to fulfill our mission to equip as many Christians as possible to reach as many sth day Adventists as possible with the true
Christ and his gospel simply click the little join button down below this video use the link in the description box or you can visit our Channel homepage like you see on screen where you’ll find the same button in multiple places thank you so much for your support so when we talk about the historical grammatical method of Bible interpretation we are talking in the realm of what’s called hermeneutics hermeneutics is simply the formal and fancy term for Bible interpretation method I often see people leave the SDA Church ridding themselves of many theological errors but
Unbeknownst to them they bring the SDA Church’s bad hermeneutic with them typically because that’s all they’ve ever been exposed to or maybe you’ve never even heard of this subject and a lot of this sounds very foreign to you either way it’s important for you to understand this in Practical terms while this isn’t the most glamorous and entertaining of topics it is one of vital importance especially as it pertains to dealing with cult groups and their abuses of the Bible they’re often able to Swindle people by abusing certain proof text of scripture because
The average Christian hasn’t been exposed to the subject making them susceptible to these sorts of tactics understanding the basics of this will not only help you spot errant handlings of the Bible but it will enrich your own personal Bible study because we all have a hermeneutic that we utilize whether we know it or not but before we can examine the hgm it’s important understand the four main interpretive methods so first there’s the literal interpretation this hermeneutic claims to just believe the plain meaning of the text while not every text is taken literally the plain
Meaning is said to be the true one now the historical grammatical method would fall into this category some of which we will be looking at then there is the moral interpretation this is a uh thoroughly Jewish method which typically utilizes extra biblical sources like Jewish poetry laws Etc to say that there are multiple layers of meaning to Any Given text you also have the allegorical interpretation this method views the biblical narratives as having a secondary level of meaning where figures and events are foreshadowing other individuals and events such as Jesus
Himself so for example the story of Noah’s Arc the allegorical method would not focus on whether or not the flood was Global or localized but is more read to say the story is trying to convey certain aspects of God’s character and nature some figures in history that were big on this were St Augustine and origin and then finally there is the analogical method also sometimes referred to as spiritual or mystical interpretation this framework interprets everything from the standpoint of what is to come in the Life Hereafter this method oft times utilizes things like numerology to
Say that there are numeric codes hidden in the text that help inform the information about the last days and Life to Come similar to the allegorical method less focus is put on the actual events in the narrative but instead focus on a supposed deeper meaning hidden in those narratives now as I mentioned the historical grammatical method falls under the literal interpretation category but it isn’t simply the belief that every single verse in all of scripture is to be understood literally nor is it the belief that one gets to arbitrarily decide what is and isn’t my friends over
At monergism.com give this great little WR up on the hgm where they WR quote in 1515 Martin Luther rejected the elaborate 4 hermeneutic that had been predominant throughout the medieval centuries and which led to some very far-fetched allegorizing of the Bible leaving scriptural interpretation in the hands of the experts who alone were capable of figuring out the secret things that Bible passages really meant this would eventually lead to the great Protestant Reformation which is therefore most fundamentally a hermeneutically driven struggle in place
Of this allegorical hermeneutic Luther proposed what he termed a grammatical historical hermeneutic according to Luther’s new hermeneutic which was actually just the recovered hermeneutic of the earliest Church fathers each biblical passage had one basic meaning which was firmly rooted in historical truth and related accurately according to the common principles of human language thus it was historical relating real interconnected historical events that must be acknowledged and understood before the various teachings of the Bible could make sense or have
Application and grammatical using language the way any normal person would this grammatical historical hermeneutic is absolutely vital for it tethers the truth of the scriptures to real historical events that have a real impact on our life and it gives us a way to study the scriptures with confidence according to wellestablished dictates of human language so as they know this was the underlying struggle between the Protestant reformers and the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century because it has major practical implications in the life of the
Christian and hermeneutics is the name of the game it wasn’t something nov concocted by Martin Luther but something that he saw utilized by many that came before him and had been abandoned for a more allegorical model of interpretation but put another way the hgm is an interpretive method that states that before you can make valid application of Any Given passage of scripture you must understand how it would have been understood by the original audience that the text was written to this requires looking at the historical context of a passage things like what the author was
Seeking to address and then deriving modern-day application after establishing those things which is why the only qualification for the office of Pastor outside of character qualifications is that one must possess the ability to rightly handle the word of God so with that in mind the historical grammatical method has three fundamental Baseline principles the first is that any given passage of scripture only has one correct interpretation the one the author intended to communicate namely the Holy Spirit now this is not to be confused with application many texts of scripture have
Multiple applications but to make sure that one is applying a text appropriately the single correct interpretation must first be established which leads to the next principle grammatical and historical correspondence in order to arrive at the correct interpretation the grammar of the text must be analyzed in light of its historical usage for example in Matthew 22 Jesus gives the parable of the Wedding Banquet Matthew is writing to a primarily Jewish audience and weddings in Jewish culture had very specific Customs Jesus is also speaking to a Jewish audience in the primary
Context he utilizes these customs in the parable when speaking to his Jewish audience and understanding those is what helps us understand what Jesus is teaching in that Parable as well as what the original hearer would have understood and thirdly the plain sense of the reading should take precedence over figurative ones now this is not to say that scripture nowhere utilizes allegory or figures of speech such as in Mark 15 for example but the literary genre of the text as well as obvious clues that figures of speech are being used should help determine this now my
Purpose this evening is not to convince you of one hermeneutic over another but to Simply test this claim that I constantly hear from many in Adventist leadership who do indeed claim to uphold the hgm as well as showcase how important hermeneutic methodology is but just to summarize the hgm involves interpreting a passage by understanding what the original author intended and what the original audience would have understood this is done by examining both the grammar and the historicity of the text by determining the singular correct interpretation followed by then
Making valid applications once that has been done those applications need to be in line and supported by the correct interpretation make sense so with that in mind let’s examine if this is how leaders Within the SDA Church handle the Bible remember what Ted Wilson told us the hgm is the only approved hermeneutic in the SDA church so to start let’s listen to an example from uh SDA Pastor Ron Kelly from Village SDA Church there’s nothing new Under the Sun go back to First Kings chapter 18 there is a trauma in the land it is the gradual degeneration of the 10 tribes the nation
Of isra Israel God in an effort to redeem his people has sent a prophet again and I want you to understand how important the prophetic role is in the Seventh Adventist Church and for the sake of the redeemed on the earth at the end time we have five books in a series called the conflict of the ages the first one’s called Patriarchs and what the second one’s called what and kings most of the roles of these Godly men and women have been to bring people back into a right relationship with God part of that involves reproof and rebuke the Bible is exceptionally
Clear that the way of reproof in this sinful world is the way of God when there is no one in the family and no one in the home when there’s no one in the school and no one in the church when there’s few in society that will reprove and rebuke the evil that destroys the fabric of our togetherness the security of our culture you get what you get and in the age of Ahab in Elijah the degradation of Jezebel’s sensual self-focused demonic deviation from the word of God was bearing its fruits and if there was to be any saving of the nation it was going to be through a man
Who one day showed up in the Palaces unannounced and declared it’s not going to rain there’s going to be no do until there’s a turning back to God of course turning back to God in a covenant relationship where you’ve already promised to serve him is certainly something you should be called back to just like our commitments to marriage to the Church to God someone should hold us to account to keep them Elijah shows up declares that it will not rain which is a real problem and it doesn’t he grows to the brook cherith and hides himself there he goes to the
Widow of zarap when there’s no water in the brook anymore if there’s one thing the story of Elijah teaches us is that God is well able to provide for his people in the countdown to The Showdown and what we cannot be doing at this moment in time is quailing it’s shivering it’s shaking we cannot be living as people who have no faith as we recognize that the countdown to the final showdown is underway and whether it lingers longer than we think or whether it’s upon us sooner than we anticipate we need to remember that Elijah is not being sent back in his own
Person but as John the Baptist went before Jesus so so a whole group of people imbued with his spirit will give the final message of invitation and warning to a Dying World so did Ron Kelly utilize the hgm when seeking to interpret and apply First Kings 18 no he did the same thing we’ve heard other Adventist teachers do with the same text such as John lomacang when he was teaching about apostate protestantism the first phase was Satan attacked the authenticity of the character of God and so when we use the symbols in Revelation chapter 16 from the fall of Lucifer to the time of
Christ it was the purpose of Satan the dragon to war against the character of God by attacking the people of God and we find the example in the Old Testament as we look together at First Kings chap 16: 30 and 31 the Bible says speaking about one of the Kings of Israel and the kings of Judah when you study you find that as the course of human history continued to unfold some of the Kings of Israel and some of the kings of Judah turned away from what God had revealed to them leading their people that should have been the people of God into an Avenue of
Apostasy and the example I’m going to use is one you know very well a king named Ahab who married a false worshipper named Jezebel look at First Kings 16:30 the Bible says now Ahab the son of omry did evil in the sight of the Lord more than all who were before him and it came to pass as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of jeroboam the son of nebat that he took as a wife Jezebel the daughter of eth Bal King of the sidonians and he went and served Baal and worshiped him now this is a powerful analogy a man that was supposed to be
Leading Israel into true worship married a woman whose heart was turned in the direction of false worship she had a different God altogether she worshiped the god of ethal she was an Ardent worshipper she did not change her views but her husband a man called of God changed his views and led Israel into deep apostasy what did Ahab do Ahab was an an an agent of light that formed an alliance with the Agents of Darkness Ahab created a coalition by binding himself in a false sense of worship literally through a marriage and today that also happens when we Unite
Ourselves in a coalition that appears to be similar to a marriage we are taking the first step in moving away from God when the person we are marrying or being united to does not worship the true God Ahab also abandoned god-based theology for human-based ideology and when you follow the history of what happened to Israel it talked about jeroboam jobal started the Cadence jobal established false altars of worship all throughout the region where Israel and Judah were and then he encouraged them don’t go to Jerusalem to worship Worship in the Groves Worship in
The mountains Worship in the high places that’s why the Apostle Paul says spiritual wickedness in high places why high places because the high places should belong to God but when the high places are built to oppose God it becomes a place of spiritual wickedness and it then influences the people of God to go in the wrong direction and when you look at the joining of Ahab to Jezebel God warns against any such amalgamation merging light with Darkness would the original audience of that book have understood the story of Elisha ahob and Jezebel to be a picture of the end
Times where Elijah is representative of the Seventh Adventist Church while Ahab and Jezebel are supposed to picture Protestants and Roman Catholicism and like Elijah the SDA church is supposed to be repairing the breach of God’s law namely the Sabbath and calling Protestants and Catholics to repent before it’s too late no all of the Bible in their system is read in light of eschatology where historical figures are allegorized to try and tipify end time scenarios and realities we will listen to another example of this in a moment but first Kings 18 has nothing to do with the SDA
Church first and second Kings are indeed documenting history namely the people of God continually breaking Covenant with God by constantly falling into idolatry like the Nations that surrounded Israel and had Kings Israel demanded that they have the same to which God gave them Kings to rule over them but even having Kings over the people did not help them because the Kings themselves were Fallen Sinners who became Wicked by the end of Second Kings both the northern and southern kingdoms are destroyed and the people of God are then exiled while the
Book ends on a rather depressing note what it actually points to is the king of kings and Lord of lords Jesus Christ who came and established a better Covenant on better promises as well as a final Kingdom that cannot be shaken a covenant that cannot be broken which is part of what makes the New Covenant better than the old I didn’t mention this earlier but another principle of the historical grammatical method involves reading historical texts in a christocentric matter meaning looking for Jesus and how the text is ultimately pointing to him not reading all of
History in light of eschatology to make it about 7th day adventism but let’s listen to another example this time from uh Mr apostate protestantism himself everything that the Bible does not support injures the character of God and distorts his love in other words if you don’t think that that is specific or that it matters to God consider the offering of Cain and able look at Genesis chapter 4 and verse 4 the Bible says Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat and the Lord respected Abel and his offering now think about that the Lord respected Abel
But the Lord did not respect Cain and when you read the Bible you find in Genesis chapter 4 that God put a mark on Cain I want you to grab that in the very beginning there was a mark on those who rebelled against God and in the very and there’s going to be a mark on those who in the end time continue their Rebellion against God yeah that wasn’t a historical grammatical handling of Genesis 4 it wasn’t even a proper representation of what’s taking place in the text John LOM Kang is simply reiterating the SDA Bible commentary which is paring LG white
Where they State quote Mark of Cain God has given to every man his work and if anyone turns from the work that God has given him to do the work of Satan to defile his own body or lead another into sin that man’s work is cursed and the brand of Cain is placed upon him the ruin of his victim will cry unto God as did the blood of Abel any man be he minister or Layman who seeks to compel or control the reason of another man becomes an agent of Satan to do his work and in the sight of the Heavenly Universe he Bears The Mark of Cain close quote Yeah that isn’t at all what
Genesis 4 is talking about in the hisorical grammatical method is not being employed here notice the biblical text after murdering his brother Cain is approached by God who asks him where his brother is using a leading question something that God also used back with Cain’s parents when they were hiding from him Cain then responds that he isn’t his brother’s keeper but God rebukes Cain by stating that his brother’s blood is crying out from the ground and because of his slewing of his brother Cain was now to be a Wanderer on the Earth but in verse 13
Cain exclaims that this punishment is too much for him to bear and that he fears for his life he says whoever finds him will try and kill him and then in verse 15 we see God’s response to Cain’s worry where God said to him not so if anyone kills you Vengeance shall be taken on him Sevenfold and the Lord put a mark on Cain lest any who found him should attack him the Mark was a sign to Cain that God’s promise would stand he wouldn’t be killed but would still be sent out as a Wanderer in the land it had nothing to do with being marked for false worship which allegedly pictures
The same thing in the end times with the mark of the beast this is not a historical grammatical handling of the Bible because when utilized it’s very easy to see that both Mr lomacang and the SDA Bible commentary have erroneously applied this text in a way that the single correct interpretation of it does not allow now I’ve responded to that entire presentation by John lumang before it’s actually where the apostate Protestant sound effect that I played earlier comes from if you haven’t seen it and you would like to check it out the link is in the description box
Down below so if the SDA Church doesn’t actually utilize the hgm and they claim that they do what hermeneutic are they calling the hgm I want to look at a statement from Donald kolt’s book father Miller’s daughter which I’ve shown on the channel before for those that do not know Donald casbolt got his MD from the flagship SDA Seminary Andrews University in Baran Springs Michigan he is a frequent contributor to the liberal leaning Adventist publication Spectrum he has developed a particular focus on the subject of Ellen White in the SDA Church’s method of Bible interpretation
Which is why I like citing him in this area he is still a Seventh Day Adventist folks quote William Miller claimed that he only used his Bible in a concordance that he had set aside all commentaries and that in divinely inspired dreams God had commissioned him to Proclaim his 15 proofs to the entire world father Miller’s spiritual daughter Ellen Harmon accepted Miller’s self-conception at face value then she enhanced and disseminated Miller’s system and self-perception going so far as to claim that father Miller had been prefigured by Elijah Elisha John the Baptist and
That God had given Miller individualized Divine insight into prophecies that had been shrouded in mystery for centuries Miller’s spiritual daughter upon assuming the prophetic role of God’s special messenger perpetuated this hagiography conception of Miller more more importantly she endorsed his non-literal methodology as a result the church that Ellen White founded retained the vestigal remains of many of Miller’s purported proofs as well as his non-literal methodology all the while imagining that Miller’s method was literal and Common Sense close quote and
This is exactly correct prior to this quote he explains how William Miller came up with his own hermeneutic which casebolt calls in allegorical typological Historical Method and that’s a very great way of putting it they utilize allegory history and typology to imagine these wild theories like the investigative judgment they do not use history as the Baseline to start by understanding what the original audience would have understood instead they read all of scripture in light of their eschatology and they use historical events to try and bolster those
Interpretations and in doing so they make everything in the Bible some sort of typal logical foreshadowing of the end times involving themselves and again in an article that Mr casebolt wrote for Spectrum which was titled non-contextual isog Jesus is not plain literal exog Jesus he writes quote the millerite method of interpretation long described as being literal in common sense is its opposite it utilizes isog Jesus in my first seven cases I’ve demonstrated that Miller’s method far from being literal employs a non-contextual imagination to read into
Text an explanation foreign to its intent cases 8 and N demonstrated how Samuel snow continued Miller’s is Jesus o RL croiser continued the same type of isog Jesus Proto Adventists then presumed that the Bible foretold and described the millerite movement and its aftermath the avenus church and its Prophet as they read passages of the Bible that they considered to be eschatological they believed that events of the 1840s were predicted by multiple biblical passages the shutd door faction of EX millerites continued this practice after the great disappointment they
Repeatedly Unearthed biblical passages that they imagined were allegorical to their experience at each stage this practice was carried over into their interpretations of 1845 through 51 several of which crystallized into key doctrines of what would become the sth day Adventist Church’s fundamental beliefs Merlin Bert of the white estate describes the phenomenon for bridegroom Adventists their basic theological argument was drawn from from the parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25 they made the parable allegorical to their 1844 experience and believed that on or
About October 22nd 1844 Jesus had gone into a Heavenly wedding the Advent mirror divided the marriage into two steps the actual marriage and the marriage supper close quote now despite my qualms with the inconsistency of the liberal leaning sdas What casebolt notes is spoton so credit where credit is due the sth Adventist Church does not utilize the hgm this is yet another case of Ted Wilson and the organization taking Concepts and ideas from other people redefining them and then insisting they believe the same thing others do what the SDA church upholds is
William Miller’s rules of Bible interpretation which is most certainly not the hgm as we find in the SDA Church’s official publication the review in Herald were they right quote Miller worked out practical rules for the study of the scriptures called Miller’s rules of Bible interpretation these rules grew out of the basic belief that the Bible is the Christian’s sole Authority for belief and practice and that the scriptures are self authenticating and unified as well as their own best Expositor he believed that they should be understood in the most obvious and
Practical sense unless there is a reason from the text itself to believe a symbol a parable a figure of speech or other literary form is being used these simple rules and an acceptance of biblical Authority formed the foundation of upon which the millerites built their Temple of biblical truth in the 1830s and 1840s even though some errors of interpretation crept into their construction of this Temple these rules also became the foundation upon which the emerging 7th Day Adventist Church built its Temple of Bible truth the leaders of this developing movement
Corrected errors in the interpretation of the millerites and went on to construct a complete system of Bible teachings in fact there would be no basis for the existence of the remnant church if except for its Reliance upon scripture as the final authority of faith and practice close quote except as we saw from Donald casebolt these rules are anything but literal and it wasn’t just William Miller and his Bible he allegedly had divinely inspired dreams to accompany him and confirm to him that he was to take his 15 proofs of millerism to the rest of the world these
15 proofs were arrived at by utilizing his 13 rules of Bible interpretation not the hgm on top of that like we saw with casebolt earlier Ellen White endorsed these rules in the November 25th 1884 issue of the same paper quote said Christ If any man will come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me again he said I am the light of the world he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness the light of Truth is going forth like a burning lamp and those who love the light will not walk in darkness they will study the scriptures that they may
Know of aity that they are listening to the voice of the true Shepherd and not that of a stranger those who are engaged in proclaiming the third Angel’s message are searching the scripture upon the same plan that father Miller adopted in the little book entitled views of the prophecies and prophetic chronology father Miller gives the following simple but intelligent and important rules for Bible study and interpretation close quote and this is the real reason the SDA church is stuck having to uphold these rules they are a keystone part of keeping the SDA framework intact bearing
The profetus a stamp of approval it’s only by way of utilizing Miller’s 13 rules along with the great controversy worldview that one can arrive at the various novel teachings of the SDA church because William Miller never had a great controversy worldview this would come decades after millerism to see a more in-depth analysis of these 13 rules and their fatal flaws you can check out this article from our website the link to it is in the description box down below now there’s one final area that we need to look at here something we heard the review in Herald as well as elen
White prop up and it’s even found in William Miller’s rules of Bible interpretation that’s this idea that the Bible is its own interpreter this is indeed in line with the hgm and I could not agree more but this is yet again another area where something sound is being stated but then practically abused let’s listen to a clip from Ted Wilson who utilizes one of the SDA Church’s favorite proof texts in this area and then do a little bit of examination but unfortunately my fellow leaders there are people who do not believe what we have just read they seem
To use the horribly self-centered historical critic or higher criticism approach placing their own private interpretation on what the Bible says now please understand seventh day Adventists believe in the historical grammatical the historical biblical approach allowing the Bible to interpret itself line upon line precept upon precept verse upon verse so again with the hgm in mind Ted Wilson appealed to the wording of Isaiah 28 9-10 and applied them to how one should interpret the Bible here a little there a little which what he means is jumping all over the Bible to string
Together theories and beliefs based on verses from all over the place this is once again because that’s how Ellen White interpreted and applied this passage herself but is that what Isaiah 28 is getting at is it a lesson in hermeneutics and how one should handle the Bible let’s apply the first step of the hgm to this paropy and see what’s going on in this chapter so the phrase and questions actually said later on in the chapter but as you can see from verse one contextually we’re dealing with the drunken Priests of Ephraim and Jerusalem who are mocking God’s prophet
Isaiah they think that they are above learning and correction they had become conf confused and desensitized by the world in their thinking and it was if they had become drunk and could not perceive the truth God through Isaiah comes reproaching them for their blindness but they rejected that correction which is shown in verses 1-8 this chapter is the beginning of a number of pronouncements of woes that come upon them all the way up through chapter 33 but these religious leaders respond to Isaiah in mockery by arrogantly asking him if he’s going to teach them
These teachers like little babies ly weaned from the breast who need things line upon line precept upon precept they’re mocking him because they are teachers as can be seen in verses 7-9 we then see God’s response to this mockery by telling them that this destruction foretold will come upon them and it will indeed be line upon line precept upon precept and knock them backwards God essentially saying fine if you want to mock I’ll show you I’ll have the last laugh so to speak this was a Messianic prophecy as Isaiah goes on in the preceding verses to talk about the
Cornerstone that would be rejected speaking of Christ this passage has nothing to do with hermeneutics it is not a Justified application of this passage to support interpreting the Bible by jumping all over the place quoting a text here and there to string together Doctrine simply because the phrase here a little there a little is used yet this is a foundational practice and text to try and justify showing that the Adventist handling of the Bible is indeed biblical it’s not letting the Bible interpret itself to jump all over the place ripping verses out of context
Yet this is how Adventists are often taught to handle the Bible now like I said this presentation was not to give an exhaustive breakdown on hermeneutics it was simply to highlight that the SDA church does not uphold the historical grammatical method this is another example of them borrowing Protestant language to Brand their own novel framework at the end of the day LG white is the Fountain Head for interpretation in this system and she gave the stamp of approval to Miller’s rules utilizing them herself in her own commentary of scripture that the
SDA Church believes is inspired they utilize wild typology and allegory to try and draw out of biblical texts things entirely foreign to the author’s own mind but for a Christian who has not stopped to think about things in this area it can appear to be biblical because biblical texts are being appealed to but simply throwing out proof texts does not make something something biblical analyzing how any given text is utilized is key as Dr John frame writes in his Systematic Theology quote anyone who seeks to validate a theological idea must be willing to show
Where the idea comes from in scripture of course there’s always the danger that a theologian will misuse a text when he makes it a proof text but that danger is vitiated when the writer is able to analyze the text he appeals to rather than merely cite them which is why having a basic grasp in this area is not only important for identifying the way that Christian cult groups abuse the biblical text but to also enrich your own personal Bible study and growth in the word of God asking questions like what’s being addressed in the surrounding verses of Any Given proof
Text that’s being appealed to who was the author originally writing to what was the author addressing in the proof text that’s being appealed to the SDA church is just like the church in the Middle Ages they have their own wild interpretations that they arrive at by way of wild typology and allegory interpretations that one would never come to without the SDA Church’s extra biblical worldview and propheus to tell you their own bgrade Roman Catholic magisterium that will tell you what the Bible is saying but part of the heart of the Reformation was the use of the
Clarity and perspicuity of scripture to correct this error and arguing hermeneutics played a big part in that battle which is why 507 years later it’s just as important that light continues to shine on this area and that we contend for the clarity sufficiency and perspicuity of scripture May Christ richly bless you in the grace and peace won by him and his vicarious death on the cross for Sinners as always until next time God bless holy to apostate did he say that come on man
