Ellen G. White, who the Adventist Church teaches was divinely inspired and corrects inaccurate interpretations of scripture, claimed that in the Garden of Eden, Eve was used by Satan to tempt Adam leading to him being deceived and falling. Mrs. White explicitly says Adam was deceived.
But the Bible explicitly says that Adam was not deceived—only Eve—in 1 Timothy 2:14. Paul reiterates this same thing in his fear for the churches at Corinth, that they would be decieved like Eve (only mentioning her) and accept a different christ, a different gospel, and a different spirit than the One he proclaimed to them (2 Corinthians 11:1-4).
Ellen White claimed that “whatever contradicts God’s Word, we can be sure proceeds from Satan.” and that her writings never contradict the Bible. We’ll let you connect the dots.
