Ellen G. White falsely claimed that the world system was corrupted by those who separated themselves from God’s followers and that they began building the Tower of Babel before the flood. The standard SDA defense to this has been that this was a “typographical error” because this statement comes from chapter 21, whereas chapter 10, titled Tower of Babel, is after chapter 8 titled The Flood. If you’re claiming your books were authored by the Holy Spirit, basic typographical errors like this that contradict scripture shouldn’t be happening.
The Bible clearly states that the Tower was built after the flood which we are told was over in Genesis 9:28. The Tower of Babel began to be constructed later in Genesis 11:1-4.
She also falsely asserted that the Tower of Babel was built to escape another flood and reach up to Heaven to ascertain why the first flood happened.
Ellen White claims the words in her books are barricaded by a “thus saith the LORD” and that God gave her the words to write which very obviously conflict with scripture. She also claimed whatever contradicts God’s word we can be sure proceeds from Satan. We’ll let you connect the dots.
