The Adventist Church says yes. It’s actually necessary for this to be the case or their whole system of theology to work. It’s foundation is built upon eschatology.
There have been varying opinions and interpretations that all fall within Christian orthodoxy. Some have theorized the Little Horn in chapter 7 is different than the one in chapter 8. Others hold to the position that it was Antiochus Epiphanes leading up to the Maccabean Revolt.
Depending on what school of eschatological interpretation one adheres to will impact how one understands this question. Unlike in Adventist theology, Christian theology isn’t built entirely upon eschatology which is why there is room for varying opinions, but not in Adventism.
