Ellen G. White, the Adventist prophetess, who they believe was divinely inspired and corrects inaccurate interpretations of scripture, erroneously claimed that Satan killed Jesus. This is horrendously false.
The bible says that God the Father was pleased to crush Jesus the Son (Isaiah 53:10) who freely gave of Himself as the antitypical freewill offering (Leviticus 23:38, Matthew 20:28, John 10:17-8). Jesus came to do the will of the Father (John 6:38) which was to freely give His life as a ransom for many. God determined for this work to take place from the very beginning (Acts 2:23), that the Father would sacrifice His Son. This plan was made before creation. This was typified in Abraham and Issac (Genesis 22:1-19) where the father went to sacrifice his only son.
Satan did not shed the blood of Jesus.
Ellen White claimed that “whatever contradicts God’s Word, we can be sure proceeds from Satan”, that her writings never contradict God’s Word, and bear the test of investigation. We’ll let you connect the dots.
