Ellen G. White oddly claimed that, prior to his fall from heaven, Lucifer shared in God’s glory due to his close proximity to His throne. In conjunction with her regular reference to Satan as “his satanic majesty” one might wonder who her angel messenger was sent from.
God says that He shares His glory with no one (Isaiah 42:8, 48:11). The scripture nowhere indicates or states that Satan shared in any level of God’s glory. Not even like we see in Jesus’s high priestly prayer in John 17:22—which is where Adventist apologists will try and point.
The glory that Jesus gave to his disciples in John 17:22—contextually—was that of going around doing ministry confirming that they are one with him and the Father who had sent them to lead people to faith in Christ.
Because the Adventist Church is beholden to the writings of Ellen G. White, which they claim are divinely inspired and correct inaccurate interpretations of scripture, they are stuck having to own this contradiction. In the same book, Ellen White also claimed that “whatever contradicts God’s Word, we can be sure proceeds from Satan.” We’ll let you connect the dots.
