Adventist Teaching: Yes
Biblical Teaching: No
Because the Adventist Church affirms that Ellen G. White was inspired no differently than the Biblical writers and that her writings correct inaccurate interpretations of scripture, they must uphold her commentary on the Bible as being from God.
In The Desire of Ages she claimed that dogs started devouring the body of Judas Iscariot upon his hanging. She also claimed that the words in that book are “barricaded by a thus saith the Lord.”
The Bible says no such thing, simply that Judas hanged himself and his innards burst out (Acts 1:18; Matthew 27:5).
This claim of hers is an Advent-ism.
