Adventist Teaching: Yes (by way of Ellen G. White)
Biblical Teaching: No
The Adventist Church is caught in the bind of the writings of Ellen G. White. Because they claim her writings are divinely inspired and correct inaccurate interpretations of scripture, she is the final say on doctrinal matters.
She very plainly stated that, while on the cross, Satan was able to twist the heart of Jesus, causing Him to doubt His resurrection and if His sacrifice would even be accepted by the Father or if they would be eternally separated. This is blasphemous heresy and dangerous doctrine.
Jesus is fully God (Isaiah 43:10-11, Colossians 2:9, Titus 2:13). He was fully aware of His mission (John 6:38-40) and that He would raise himself from the dead (John 2:19-21; John 10:17-8) alongside the Father and the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:24; Acts 13:30; Romans 8:11-13). He never doubted (which is unbelief and unbelief is a sin) nor does Satan have the power to manipulate the mind of God.
