Ellen White claimed to be shown by God that the only reason man was allowed to eat meat after the flood was because it was an emergency due to all of the vegetation being killed. This is not true. Not only because Genesis 9:2-3 says nothing about God allowing this for a foliage and plant crisis, but also, before getting off the ark, the dove that Noah sent out comes back with a freshly picked olive branch (Genesis 8:11), demonstrating that not all vegetation had been completely destroyed.
