The Adventist Church loves to try and ride the coattails of the Protestant Reformers, but only when it seems to support their Great Controversy Worldview. Today we look at one of the central foundations of the Reformation, which is the Law Gospel distinction, and how out of step Adventism is with this understanding.
It highlights for us how the SDA Church is not Protestant (at least not in the historic usage and sense of the term). We do not want people to be confused, whether Protestant, former Adventist, etc. Do not saddle Protestants with the mess of SDA theology. They are their own thing and their leadership needs to start embracing that.
