Ellen G. White—who the Adventist Church is beholden to—claimed to be shown by God that Jesus fainted three times under the agony of the cross.
The Bible nowhere says this. It never says Jesus fainted even a single time, let alone three. The Biblical text states that Simon of Cyrene assisted Christ in carrying the cross (Matthew 27:32; Mark 15:21; Luke 23:26) but nothing about this being a result of Jesus fainting.
This is insight into how the SDA Church views Ellen White’s writings. They are the “lesser light” that sheds extra details onto the “greater Light” (ie: the Bible) that aren’t actually found in the Bible.
This is what we call an “Advent-ism.”
