The Adventist Church and her apologists have long sought to defend Ellen G. White’s “literary borrowing” by claiming that in the 19th century people wrote that if you took an idea and made it new then you could borrow it—calling them “thought gems.” They love to claim that everyone in that day took other people’s writings and recycled them so Mrs. White was no different.
But did everyone borrow people’s writings and then seek to pass them off as “thus saith the Lord” statements? Test the Prophet joins us to dive deep on the subject and to discuss whether or not Ellen was who she claimed to be.
