Spiritual Abuse? Examining Adventism’s WORST End Times Deception

He wants to pour out the latter reign of the Holy Spirit upon his people to finish his work on this earth. He longs for us to humble ourselves before him and to lean

Tonight, we’re going to be talking about one of the chief ways the Seventh Adventist Church spiritually abuses people. And it is connected to what the organization teaches of all things about the second coming. The second coming. So

The question of the night. How can one be ready for the return of Christ? And why hasn’t he returned yet? How can one be ready for the return of Christ? And why hasn’t he returned yet? Now, I wanted to play that clip of SDA President Ted Wilson before tonight’s presentation because it perfectly encapsu uh encapsulates how the focal subject in Adventism, The Second Coming, has been so severely abused and distorted, robbing it of its shine and excitement. That clip was from Ted Wilson’s general conference address from 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. I was in uh SDA

University at that time. I remember listening to it live. Uh he started out by lambasting 7th Adventist for not doing enough before he moved on to a number of other subjects. You’ll notice he said Jesus is longing to come back. Jesus is longing to come back implying that something is holding him back. Which is why he then went on to lambast adventists like I said by saying that if they had been doing their job Jesus would have returned by now and they wouldn’t even be there for another general conference session. He said they are the leadyans something we will look at uh more later.

Now my goal of tonight is to show how all of this fits into the SDA system and how it is fueled by in my opinion one of Adventism’s most deceptive doctrines. To help us out, we are going to be listening to a sermon not from Ted Wilson, but from uh an SDA evangelist by the name of John Bradshaw. Some of you might know who that is. He is the president of the popular TV broadcast and uh I guess you could say nonprofit organization. It is written. It is written. They put up billboards all over the place. They’re um they’re one of the people that some of the the evangelical

Itites within Adventism will uh will hire to bring in to preach on all the prophecy stuff that the evangelicals um don’t want to want to talk about like Daniel and Revelation. They’ll um instead of doing it themselves, they’ll bring in people like John Bradshaw to hold a a revival or a seminar or end times prophecy seminar, those types of things. A crusade, I think they used to call them back when I was a kid. But nevertheless, I want to preface by saying something. We’ve been getting a lot of SDAs recently that insist that Adventism is far more diverse than I

Make it sound. To which I always tell them, I’ve never denied this. In fact, it’s something I bring up regularly because it uh evidences um that the claims by the organization to everyone else being Babylon is a total joke. There’s not supposed to be a bunch of streams in Adventism. I’m completely aware that not all professing Adventists affirm what I’m going to get into tonight, folks. You know, if you’re an Adventist and you’re new here, folks, I I I’ve been born and raised Adventism, educated all the way up through university level, Sans High

School. I I am fully aware of all the spectrums. Trust me. And I’m completely aware that not all professing Adventists affirm what I’m going to get into tonight. That’s not the claim. That’s not what we’re doing here. I’m not saying every Adventist in the world believes everything I say here about Adventism. This platform is about examining the official SDA system. Yes, there is an official system. And whether the modernists want to accept it or not, that is true. And that official system puts forth and stands by and teaches a particular set of doctrines.

Adventism is a systematic theology. They have a systematic theology that they present. And Adventists need warned about this. Former Adventists need help connecting the dots. And Christians need to be educated on this to be better equipped to reach Adventists. Okay? So, yes, I understand you might be an Adventist listening that disagrees with what we look at tonight. Great. But that doesn’t change the fact that what we look at this evening is officially sanctioned teaching, as I’m going to very clearly show. Don’t take tonight as a berating of any

Individual Adventist. If you’re an individual Adventist listening to this and you say, “Well, I don’t believe that.” I’m not berating you. Even if you do believe these things, I’m not berating you. You are probably a well-meaning individual. I tell people this all the time. Adventists are great people, excellent people. I have lots of SDA family, friends, everything. I’m not berating any individuals. But this is a rebuke of a system of darkness. This is spiritual warfare, folks. This is spiritual warfare. Now, with that said, in this sermon, Mr.

Bradshaw starts by saying that there is a glorious day coming where Jesus will return, just like Ted Wilson said. And on the surface, I’m not sure there’s a single Christian that would disagree with such of a statement. But we’re going to pop the hood on this claim and see how the SDA church’s extra biblical great controversy worldview distorts this glorious teaching. The title of Mr. Bradshaw’s sermon is getting through the world’s toughest times. Okay, he’s building to a climax and along the way he will make a number of claims that are important to look at

Coming. This is to say that unless one remains ignorant unless one remains ignorant of the SDA message, you won’t be saved. Let me repeat that to make sure it’s clear. Okay? Adventism proper teaches if you hear their unique and novel message and reject it despite whatever valid reasons you may have, you will be damned. And no, I don’t just mean atheists and Buddhists and Hindus, etc. I mean you Christian, if you are a Christian and hear this message from the SDA church, their whole system of of message, it’s not just the Sabbath. It’s not just the

Health message. It’s the whole kitten kaboodleoodle. If you as a Christian hear their message and say, “Yeah, that doesn’t sound quite right according to scripture.” Doesn’t matter. You will be damned. This is because their message is the message that will allegedly have you prepared and ready for the return of Christ. Okay? Notice what their website on a page that’s explaining the remnant and their mission. I’ve been bringing this up. I brought this up last week. I’ve brought it up numerous times before. The remnant is supposed to be the SDA church supposedly. Quote, “The Apostle

John, the last of Jesus’s disciples and the one who wrote Revelation, tells us exactly who Satan will target. Satan’s goal is to harm those who keep the command uh keep God’s commandments and believe what Jesus taught. But among the lawlessness of the corrupted world, God will call for his devoted followers to separate themselves from those who have rejected him.” Then they quote scripture. Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of Babylon, my people. come out of her, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues. For her

Sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Revelation 18:4-5. Those who do not come out of the wickedness of the world will be subject to the same fate as Satan, utter destruction. God refuses to let sin go on forever. And those who hold on to sin will have to give an account for their deeds. But God’s remnant people are not just supposed to hide in holes as they separate themselves from the world. God has a job for his people to do. A message they will deliver. For many people, this message will make the difference between eternal life with

God and the permanent second death. All who hear it will have to make a single vital decision. either to follow God or side with Satan and share his fate. Close quote. So undergirling this chain of claims is the SDA church’s historicist premillennial esquetology. It also assumes that the last days started in 1844. But everyone except the SDA church is lumped in with the wicked world. That includes you, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Anglican, Roman Catholic, etc. All of us are supposedly part of Babylon and part of the SDA mission is to call us out from where we

Are to come join them or we will share in the same fate as Satan. Utter destruction. And when Adventists try and insist that they’re no different than we are. They’re our brothers and sisters in Christ. They’re either ignorant, deceptive, or dishonest. And by ignorant, I mean that in the technical sense, folks, not an insult. Most Adventists just they’re they’re not thinking about the logical ends of what their system that they’re claiming to be a part of is saying about everybody else. Many Adventists don’t see themselves that way. They don’t think, well, I only Adventists are, you

Know, we’re talking about the system here because this is central to SDA theology. It’s not some hidden layer buried deep. It’s part of the mission of the organization. Like I said, most Adventists, they’re well-meaning people, but these are simply the facts. This is what this movement teaches. So, if you’re an Adventist and you’re upset about this platform saying the same thing back to you, that you need to flee Adventism or you’ll be lost, consider that you might be a hypocrite because you yourself are part of a system that claims the same thing about

Me. Okay? I don’t get offended by that. I wish Adventists would own this. Not try and do this. No. No, brother. We’re the saint. No, we’re not. We’re not. Doesn’t mean I won’t be friends with you. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t give you the shirt off my back. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t go out with you and and and get a beer or something like that. Well, a non-alcoholic beer. The point being, I’m simply honest enough to say the quiet part out loud and be forthright. As the article plainly says, if you hear this message and you don’t come join the SDA movement, you are effectively siding

With Satan and will share in his fate. Okay? But this is to say that part of being prepared for the return of Christ according to the system is being a part of the SDA church. They don’t claim that this will guarantee that you will be saved, but it is one of the necessary components unless you die never hearing their message or Jesus returns before you do. In those instances, you can be saved in ignorance. Okay. Now, we’re going to let John Bradshaw continue and we’re going to hear about how beyond simply being a part of the SDA church, one can be prepared for the return of

Christ, followed by comparing this with scripture to see how things match up. Okay. This message he gave was to 7th day Adventists. So it is an internal message. And it will become more apparent what he is getting at as we break things down along the way. Let’s get into it. But if you will read the Bible, you will discover that one of the greatest challenges facing believers, what I say, believers in earth’s last days is apathy. Apathy. Scripture tells us so. The 10 virgins, five were wise, five were what? Yeah. But all 10 were all 10 were asleep.

Jesus said to Peter, James, and John, come on. I’m going to go over there to pray. You stay right here and watch and pray. Watch with me. I need you to be here. I need you to be here. Jesus went off and they slept. They knew the Messiah told them this is important. And yet they slumbered and slept all of them. Jesus came back, woke him up. They fell asleep again. He came back, woke him up, they fell asleep again. Finally, Jesus said, “Go on, keep on sleeping.” All right. So remember, the title of his sermon is getting through the world’s toughest times.

He’s laying the foundation here for what the SDA church teaches regarding how one can be prepared for the second coming. He begins here with the parable of the 10 virgins. We started a little bit into the video, by the way. He basically just told an anecdotal story before getting into the primary focus of the message, but this has been a staple parable for Adventists since their inception. And Mr. Bradshaw links this to the claim that the problem facing believers. I love his accent. The primary problem facing believers in Earth’s last day is apathy,

Which he mentioned right before this clip. Well, actually he did mention it in this clip, but he talked about it in that story. And what he’s getting at is that Adventists are not doing enough. This will become apparent a little later on. It’s the same thing that Ted was getting at in that intro clip. But I want to camp out here on the parable of the 10 virgins for a moment. Is it true that apathy is present in the parable of the 10 virgins? Absolutely no disagreement here. But what is the primary point that the Lord Jesus was teaching in this parable?

You know, parables aren’t exhaustive, folks. that they’re they’re to typically teach a specific lesson or point. First, let’s look at the SDA church’s interpretation, which can be found in one of many places, but in this case, I chose to use SDA pioneer Uriah Smith’s exposition of it, which was given the stamp of approval by Ellen G. White. Okay, notice what he writes. quote in the great advent movement talking about Millerism of 1833-44 this parable Matthew 25 was instinctively turned was in uh was instinctively turned to as one which had a vital connection with the movement and

Illustrated its principal features. It was given that pro uh prominence and importance to which it evident uh its evidently solemn truths entitle it. The Adventists of that day well understood the general scope of the parable. And although they had not then light sufficient to discern the real meaning of one of its essential features, they had an application for it all and used it with wonderful effect. We hear less about it now. Further light was needed to a full understanding of it. And to those who have rejected that light, the subject has grown darker and

Darker. The disappointment of the passing of the time, meaning the great disappointment, threw them into confusion. Their mislication of the parable threw them into still worse confusion. They lost their bearings and locating in the future what belonged to the past. They looked for the fulfillment of events which they will ever expect in vain for they are already accomplished. There is just one key to the solution of this parable. Just one subject which explains it and that is the subject of the sanctuary. Without a correct view of the sanctuary

Question, it’s no more possible to explain the parable of the 10 virgins than it would be possible to explain the movements of the heavenly bodies without a knowledge of the cor uh I hate this word copernition theory of the solar system. Close quote. Ah, so without the SDA church’s novel sanctuary teaching, one can’t actually understand the parable of the 10 virgins, which means no one prior to the 7th day Adventist actually understood this parable because extra light was needed to understand the key to understanding this parable. The Millerites didn’t have

That key which is why they were left in confusion. Remember this when you hear the organization tell you that all you need is the Bible. You don’t need Ellen White. Just go with the Bible. Yeah. No, we allegedly have to have light given to the the Adventist prophetist to properly understand what the Bible’s actually saying, just like the statement of confidence in her writing says. But Smith says that the Millerite movement utilized this parable. But because they didn’t have the light on the sanctuary, they abused it and it led to more confusion.

Which is why Ellen White was needed to fully understand the doctrine because God allegedly gave them light through her to properly understand it. That light being the sanctuary doctrine. Now, as a quick note, let this be a reminder like I said in in conjunction with what I just said about only the Bible. when adventists say that their theology is just straight from the Bible. No, here we have yet another case of this not being true. And here’s why. Without Ellen White and the alleged light that was given to her and through her, you can’t even understand this

Parable supposedly. So, what’s the point of just the Bible? If you can’t understand it, it leads to confusion. You can’t just say, “Well, the truth is there in the Bible, but you really can’t understand it without Ellen White.” Right? So, you have to have both. So, don’t fall for this defense that many Adventists will give when you criticize Ellen White where they’ll say something to the effect of, “Well, you know, Ellen White said just go with the Bible. She’s the lesser light pointing to the greater light.” Yeah. And that lesser light is an interpretive lens.

That’s what she means by that. Not this, well, you can just go with the Bible. You don’t need me. We’ve looked at Uriah Smith on this by the way from the review and herald which is cited in the Adventist belief fundamental beliefs book where he uses this analogy of we’re on a voyage and the map is the Bible and we start the voyage and the Bible’s good enough for that but in the end there’s going to be this perilous time and God’s going to send a pilot. Ellen White’s the pilot. And if you reject the pilot, well, you’re not really going with the Bible because the Bible tells you in the

Last days this prophet’s going to come who’s going to give you this light in order to navigate this perilous end times, which is just circular reasoning. You read the Bible to understand that the prophet’s going to be coming, but that without that prophet, you can’t really understand the Bible. Oh, okay. No, your organization agrees as if you’re an Adventist, this organization agrees with Uriah Smith and claims we can’t even understand the Bible without her alleged inspired insights. But ultimately, the SDA church’s claim is that this parable is about the SDA

Church, God’s last day church, his last day people. And they are the ones heralding the loud cry to get ready, get ready, get ready for the second coming. And as Smith points out at the beginning of his exposition of the parable, it is tied to their doctrine of probation also, which Ted also mentioned in the introduction clip. This is to say SDAs are allegedly heralding that probation will be closing soon. The window of opportunity to be ready for Jesus’s return is quickly coming to a close. Now, remember how I mentioned earlier, joining the SDA movement isn’t enough in

And of itself to be ready in their system. And I said we would look at what this entailed elsewhere. Here we see one must begin to understand their novel teaching on the sanctuary, which might be one of the most complex, convoluted doctrines that the average Seventh Day Adventist can’t even explain to you. It isn’t just the teaching of the investigative judgment, folks. That’s part of it. That’s only one of the steps. And even that most Adventists can’t explain to you. The sanctuary is a complex sevenstep system that the Adventist gods are allegedly carrying out to vindicate

Themselves from the accusations of Satan in the great controversy. Notice what the SDA prophet has had to say in regards to this. Bit of a longer quote here, but it’s important to grasp what Mr. Bradshaw is allegedly getting at. Again, this is an internal message. John Bradshaw believes what I’m putting forth here with these quotes. He accepts these quotes. He’s not a modernist. He’s a by the book Adventist. Quote, “It is those who by faith follow Jesus in the great work of the atonement who receive the benefits of his mediation in their behalf.” Pause.

We’ve looked at it before. Salvation contours of avenous otteriology. John Pauline’s chapter chapter 10. The very first paragraph, what does he say Adventists mean when they say atonement?

Audience, what do the does does Adventist theology mean when they use the word atonement according to Adventist scholarship? the investigative judgment which began when in 1844 which is what Ted also mentioned in the early clip. Are you starting to see the connection points here? So let’s start from the beginning again. It is those who by faith follow Jesus in the great work of the atonement who receive the benefits of his mediation in their behalf. I.e. You got to believe the investigative judgment, understand the investigative judgment to be benefited

By the atonement. While those who reject the light which brings to view this work of ministration are not benefited thereby. The Jews who rejected the light given at Christ’s first advent and refused to believe on him as the savior of the world could not receive pardon through him. When Jesus at his ascension entered by his own blood into the heavenly sanctuary to shed upon his disciples the blessings of his mediation, the Jews were left in total darkness to continue their useless sacrifices and offerings. The ministration of types and shadows had ceased.

That door by which men had formerly found access to God was no longer open. The Jews had refused to seek him in the only way whereby he could then be found. through the ministration in the sanctuary in heaven. Therefore, the Jews found no communion with God. To them, the door was shut. They had no knowledge of Christ as the true sacrifice and the only mediator before God. Hence, they could not receive the benefits of his mediation. The condition of the unbelieving Jews illustrates the condition of the careless and unbelieving amongst profess professed Christians

Who are willingly ignorant of the work of our merciful high priest. In the typical service, when the high priest entered the most holy place, all Israel was required to gather about the sanctuary and in the most solemn manner humble their souls before God that they might receive the pardon of their sins and not be cut off from the congregation. How much more essential in this antitypical day of atonement that we understand the work of our high priest and know what duties are required of us. close quote. So, like I said, one must believe the SDA teaching on the heavenly sanctuary

In order to be saved and ready for the second coming. More specifically, the investigative judgment. And like we’ve looked at numerous times before they use the word atonement, like I said, that is to mean the investigative judgment which began taking place in heaven allegedly in 1844. If one has no knowledge of this doctrine or rejects it, they supposedly can’t be benefited by Jesus’s mediatorial work. This will become pertinent, folks, to grasp. Ellen White uses her favorite analogy here of the first century Jews to represent Christians of the day with

The SDAs being represented by Jesus and the apostles, those that reject the teaching of 1844, which Christians did back in 1844. They said, “You guys are crazy. No, nothing happened. You’re butchering the Bible. You’re not qualified to be doing all this. No, you’re not restoring the church. No, you didn’t revive the idea of the second coming. you were setting a bunch of of dates and and people rejected that and then they were acquainted the the little flock and the the Millerites that refused accept they were wrong started saying well you’re rejecting the second coming that’s what

Ellen White’s excuse was for their family getting kicked out of the Methodist church no you’re being a nuisance you guys were spreading around false date setting preaching condemnation on people saying they needed to become Millerites and leave the Methodist church and come join the crackpot of of Millerism and they were kicked out for that. Not because the Methodist church didn’t believe in the second coming, but that’s her rewriting of history. But those that reject the teaching of 1844 and Jesus beginning the investigative judgment cannot be

Benefited by his mediation because they’ve supposedly rejected the work of Christ as high priest. Which would mean that by your sins uh not being able to be dealt with, you’re not being benefited by the work that Jesus is presently doing of removing sin from the sanctuary. And notice how she says in the last sentence, one must understand this doctrine of the investigative judgment and the sanctuary to understand the duties that are required of us. This is ultimately getting at sinless perfectionism and that while on probation, you’re allotted a period of

Time to get uh to a totally sinless condition before the time of trouble begins. Now, I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but that’s just important to uh uh to note. That’s what’s being said by this. Remember the title of John Bradshaw’s sermon, Getting Through the World’s Toughest Times, Time of Trouble. Why can’t Jesus return yet? Sinless perfectionism. Lambasting Adventists. Don’t want to get ahead of myself, but all of this is what undergurs John Bradshaw’s waxing over the parable of the 10 virgins and apathy. If you haven’t gotten to a totally

Sinless condition, you are apathetic and you need to get busy. You’re not doing enough. And an Adventist that sat there listening to him that wasn’t a newbie understood all these presuppositions. They didn’t need them explained to them. So, just to make sure it’s crystal clear, this parable is allegedly about the SDAs who are the ones prepared for the second coming. They’re heralding a warning to the rest of the world, especially Christians. Come out of Babylon. You need to come out of Babylon. Babylon being Protestantism, that we need to come join them and be

Taught these special truths that only they have. Otherwise, we’re not going to be prepared for Jesus’s return, and we’re going to experience the wrath of God. Okay? So, Christian, I hope you’re seeing how the return of Christ is not a glorious truth in the SDA system. I don’t care if the leadership says, “Oh, we’re we’re eager for the return of Christ.” No, you’re not. Not inconsistency with your system because none of you are sinlessly perfect. None of you are glorified. And in this system, it teaches unless you’re fully glorified, you’ve gotten to

The glorified state, you’re sinlessly perfect, and you’re fit for heaven, ready for translation, then you’re not ready for the second coming. And none of them have attained this. I don’t care how many Adventists try and white knight for the movement and put their cape on. I’ve dialogued with thousands of Seventh Adventists, thousands of them. The average SDA sees the second coming as a fearful event that they are not prepared for. I had a friend in SDA University. I won’t say his name. Well, I’ll say his first name. His name was George. It was my final semester, senior year.

And I ran into George at the grocery store. I was preparing for one of the weeks. and we got to talking, catching up. Um, he wasn’t a student at the time, but he was going to the SDA church, uh, or one of the SDA churches in the area that I had sometimes gone to. So, I knew him from that. And George and I got to talking and we got on to this subject of where you going when you die, George. I always loved getting into that discussion with Adventists. I have yet to get the SDA. Not saying they’re not out there. I’m just telling you in my own personal life, not online

Where they’re trying to white knight and and put out whatever front one to one personally have yet to have the SDA. I’m ready. George did not break that cycle. George was not ready. He said he said he doesn’t know. said, “But George, the the the SDA church, the the the focus of the message is all all about the second coming. There’s supposed to be this big second coming preparedness movement. You’re an Adventist.” Do you not see a disconnect there, friend? George didn’t know the gospel. That’s why George wasn’t ready. George bought into Adventism

And yet Adventism promised him this thing, but it was George’s fault. Well, you’re not doing enough, George. We can get you ready, but we can’t do it for you. Fear the second coming. Seems like no matter how much they do, nothing is ever enough. But what is the parable of the 10 virgins actually about? This idea that no one can understand this apart from the SDA prophetus and and and the sanctuary might be one of the silliest statements some of the SDA pioneers ever made. Let’s read it and break things down here. Okay, 13 verses in total. Then the kingdom of heaven will be like 10 virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps,

They took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight, there was a cry. Here’s the bridegroom. Come out to meet him. Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.” But the wise answered, saying, “Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.” And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were

Ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward, the other virgins came also, saying, “Lord, Lord, open to us.” But he answered, “Truly I say to you, I do not know you. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. Close quote. This parable is simply in harmony with Jesus’s teaching regarding the separation of the wheat and the tears. The church is made up of those who are truly born again and those who simply profess to be a Christian but aren’t actually regenerated. Those who are Christians in name only

Are slumbering along. They’re not actually living for Christ. And the second coming will indeed come upon them unexpectedly and it will be too late. The oil in the lamps is clearly indicative of the Holy Spirit, which is not at all far-fetched considering the Holy Spirit is likened unto oil numerous times in scripture. For example, at Jesus’s baptism, that was his inauguration to the priesthood, not his ascension like the SDA church teaches. The earthly priest had to be uh anointed with oil, which was a picture of Jesus, who is the actual great high priest and

Had the Holy Spirit poured out on him at his baptism. In 1st Samuel 16:13, for example, we’re told that Samuel took the horn of oil. And what did he do with it? He anointed David in the midst of his brothers and the spirit came upon David from that day forward. This is because kings in scripture were to be anointed with oil just like the priests. The oil in this parable of the 10 virgins simply represents those or or yeah it represents the Holy Spirit. But the parable is simply representing Christians who are actually born again. The ones who have the oil. The Christian

Name only tries getting some of the oil from those who are actually born again and are told, “Well, no, I I can’t give that to you. You have to get your own from the one who can give it.” But by that point, it’s too late. Because the overall point being made by Jesus is to be watchful. True born again believers are actually enticed by the Holy Spirit to be involved in prayer, the reading of the word, and living in the world as those with their eyes on Jesus. These people will be ready because they are born again. Because they’re born again. They’re

Regenerated. Remember the beginning, then the kingdom of heaven will be like. It’s a parable about the kingdom of heaven. What did Jesus say in John chapter 3? One won’t see the kingdom of heaven unless they’re born again. These people will be ready because they are born again. Not because they’re associated with Seventh Day Adventism, not because they believe Seventh Day Adventism’s unique message. That’s what one truly needs to be ready for the return of Christ. You’re not going to have oil just by joining the SDA church and then believing their system and then trying

Your best to adhere to it. Especially since they teach and preach a false Holy Spirit that’s not real and a false gospel that’s cursed by God and has no actual power to regenerate you. This parable applies to all Christians in all ages from the ascension of Christ to the second coming because you don’t know when you’re going to die and you don’t know if Jesus is going to return in your lifetime. We all need to examine ourselves, make sure we’re born again and possess the spirit, not meander around through life simply professing such. James talks about this people just

Saying they have faith. Well, I don’t there’s no fruit there. There’s lots of people out there that say all sorts of celebrities. Oh, I want to give thanks to to Jesus, my Lord and Savior. This person’s singing about promiscuous living, worldliness. There’s just zero fruit there of of repentance, remorse over sin. The point being, this parable has nothing to do with joining the SDA church, who is heralding the necessary message to believe in order to be truly uh ready for the return of Christ. And the idea that one can’t understand it apart from their novel teaching around

The sanctuary and the investigative judgment is not only arrogant but it’s deceptive. Telling people this. They were telling people this folks. They still are, you know, they’re not talking about this as much as they were back then in in direct, you know, statement, but they’re still downstream of this and that’s still the understanding. But remember what the SDA interpretation of this is because that’s part of the foundation that John Bradshaw is laying leading up to his primary point. Okay? The book of Revelation addressing the church of earth’s last days. Jesus says

The church of revelation, the church of Leodysia is lukewarm. Now when you come with us to Leodysia, you will discover that near Leodysia is another Bible town of Herapoulos. It’s just up there. You can look up towards Herapapolis and see these great white terraces caused by the minerals in the hot water that bubbles out of the ground. Now just east of Revelation right next door is Colasse. Colos’s water didn’t bubble out of the ground as hot water. Their water came to them. It was mountain fed. Around that area are mountains that get up to about

8,000 ft tall. And so you know that the water that came down from the mountains to Colasse was cold, really cold. And the church of Leodysia, listen friend, the church of earth’s last days. And I’m not talking about the liberals. And I’m not talking about the cranky conservatives. Le oysia, that would be you. Jesus says you’re not hot like the water that came out the ground up there in Herapapolis. You’re not cold like the water that came down from the mountains and and and and satiated the thirst of the people of Colasse. You’re somewhere in between.

Not hot, not cold. We, the Bible declares, are lukewarm, and that ought to sober us up. There is a storm coming, relentless in its fury. You know, with people of Florida face this all the time, and a hurricane will will will burst through. And you know what happens? But those who escape town and say, “It’s probably not going to be much will come back to ruination.” They knew there was a hurricane coming. By now, we all know how devastating they

When an earthquake leveled Leodysia and I think 17 AD, the Roman emperor said, “We’ll rebuild.” They

Said, “No, we’re fine. We don’t need your money. We’ll do it ourselves.” They were rich. And Jesus says to the church of Leodysia in earth’s last days, “You think you are rich and increased with goods that have need of nothing, but you don’t know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, naked. This isn’t a pretty picture. All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God.” All right. So, remember what Ted Wilson said in the intro clip regarding the SDA church being Leodysia. This is being mentioned in the context of the second coming.

Ted said Jesus longs to return, but something’s holding them up. It’s Adventists. Not enough of them have attained to sinless perfectionism, which is why they’re lukewarm. Let me break this down. What John Bradshaw provided here is a perfect example of how if you don’t agree with the SDA church’s unique flavor of historicist esquetology, you don’t actually believe the Bible supposedly. Notice, for example, the SDA Bible commentary.

Quote, “The application of the various messages to the seven churches to seven consecutive periods of church history naturally suggests the utility of a series of transition dates to facilitate the coordination of the several messages with their respective historical periods. close quote. The SDA movement, like the Millerites before them, utilized the same sort of historicist allegorical typological interpretation to say the seven churches of Revelation are representative of seven prophetic periods of church history. And yes, I’m aware that the SDA church

Didn’t originate this claim. That’s not the point. They inherited this from William Miller, who inherited it from others. And he claimed, William Miller did, that the Philadelphiaian age was from 1798 to 1844. And this is the problem I have with the SDA church trying to tell us they just believe the Bible as it reads. No, they don’t. The Bible nowhere tells us that the seven churches are allegorical and typological of seven different periods. This is an interpretive decision on their part because nowhere does the text say this is how you’re supposed to understand

Them. They are free to believe this and claim such. But don’t try and tell us that this is just plainly there in the Bible. And this is necessary in this whole schema, this whole system that they’re putting forth here. You have to have this idea being true. So don’t tell us it’s just plainly there in the Bible. No, it’s not. No, it’s not. It’s just crazy that they’ll say this. It’s a hermeneutic that they have chosen to utilize because it allows them to make all sorts of parallels like this that they think helps support their system of theology,

Specifically their esquetology. But that issue aside, there’s something important to look at with regards to this and how it pertains to their claims about the second coming. Okay? Regardless or regarding uh uh what what we heard from John Bradshaw say regarding Leodysia, he is simply regurgitating the SDA Bible commentary which is citing Ellen White. And notice what is stated under the heading labor lost on the church in Leodysia. Quote, “This is the testimony born concerning the church at Leodysia. This church had been faithfully instructed. In this letter to

The Colossians, or in his letter to the Colossians, Paul wrote, “Eperriser, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” Remember that phrase there, stand perfect and complete. For I bear him record that he hath a great zeal for you and them that are in Leodysia and them in Hierropolis. Much excellent labor was bestowed upon the Leodysian church. To them was given the exhortation, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father which is in heaven is perfect.”

But the church did not follow up the work begun by God’s messengers. They heard, but they failed to appropriate the truth to themselves and to carry out the instruction given them. The result that followed is the result always sure to follow the rejection of the Lord’s warnings and in treaties. Ellen White’s manuscript 128 from 1903. Close quote. So, if one doesn’t understand the lingo and the terminology, you’re going to miss what John Bradshaw and the commentary are claiming here. When John Bradshaw says, “God wants to use you to show the universe what he can

Do in your life,” he’s reiterating Ellen White’s abuse of Matthew 5:48. That’s there in the commentary, and it evidences the SDA systems inability to distinguish between the law and the gospel. All the Lutheran in the audience just stood up and started clapping. Even though it’s not distinctly Lutheran, it’s just simply it’s biblical, but it’s simply Protestant. He is preaching sinless perfectionism here, which in their theology is connected to the time of trouble and the second coming, which is why he brought those things up before this. And the

Title of his sermon is what it is. So, first I want to show you how the great controversy theme is doing the interpreting and show how deceptive and slippery this movement’s theology is. Then we’re going to look at Matthew 5 and see what Jesus was actually teaching and what’s going on there. Notice quote, “How many have read carefully patriarchs and prophets, the great controversy, and the desire of ages. I wish all to understand that my confidence in the light that God has given stands firm because I know that the Holy Spirit’s power magnified the truth and made it honorable, saying, “This is the way. Walk ye in it.” In my books, the truth is stated, barricaded by a thus saith the Lord. The Holy Spirit traced these truths upon my heart and mind as indelibly as the

Says both things but the two contradict one another because they’re from totally different systems. This person’s arguing this with me. I show him this quote. say, “This is just one of the mountain that I could show you.” Well, then they come back with me and cite what Paul what they what the Bible commentary said about Paul in Colossians and said, “Well, see, it’s biblical.” Well, hold up, friend. You just told me that’s not what Ellen White’s teaching. Then I show you the quote. Now you’re defending her and saying, “Well, that is what she’s teaching, but it’s biblical.”

The title of John Bradshaw’s sermon is Getting Through the World’s Toughest Times. Put another way, getting through the time of trouble, which they’ve claimed is around the corner for 170 years. And as we saw, their prophet has claimed that while the investigative judgment is going on, one must get to a totally sinless condition with the help of God, an identical condition to Jesus. How much sin was in him? That’s what she defined for herself as perfect in Christ.

Getting to this condition then allegedly vindicates God from Satan’s pre-earth accusations that the Ten Commandments aren’t fair and cannot be kept. Humans that do so and keep them perfectly and have no sin in them silence this accusation like Jesus did the great example. And thus, God’s character, the Ten Commandments, is vindicated because that’s what they mean by God’s character, the Ten Commandments. It’s a transcript of God’s character, something else they got from other individuals like the Puritans and the reformers, but didn’t understand what they were saying

And put their own spin on that same thing to then try and say, “Well, the reformer, we didn’t originate that. Other people believe that, too.” Yeah. Not the way the great controversy has twisted it. It’s why I’m always going back to the great controversy. They take these things from other people like the Sabbath, the law of God, the three-fold division of the law of God, these sorts of things. The the ten commandments being the moral law versus the ceremonial and civil law. And then former Adventists hear this from other people and think, “Well, that sounds like Adventism.”

Yeah, because they’re a leech organization. They’ve taken these ideas from all these other people, but then they have this novel worldview, this light that came through their prophetus that they filter it all through, which then distorts it like the second coming. But it’s only those who get to this totally sinless condition identical to that of Jesus when he was on the earth who will make it through the time of trouble that is coming. the hotly contested Christ object lessons quote, the infamous Christ object lessons quote that the liberal modernist SDAs hate and try to

Reimagine. Quote, when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putth in the sickle because the harvest is come. Christ is waiting. Ah, what did Ted Wilson say? He’s longing to return. Christ is waiting with longing desire for the manifestation of himself in his church. When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in his people, then he will come to claim them as his own. Close quote. The modernist SDAs can try and twist this to mean something it doesn’t. like the guys at Spectrum. It’s just I I read an article that they wrote on this quote trying

And this is supposed to be divinely inspired commentary on Mark 4 29-30. Read this statement in light of what we just read in the great controversy. In light of the fact that the SDA church teaches that the Ten Commandments are the transcript of God’s character, Jesus is longing to return, she says, but he’s waiting for enough Adventists, that’s the church supposedly, the kingdom of God, to perfectly reproduce perfect

Lawkeeping as perfect as he did. Until this happens, God’s not vindicated and Jesus won’t return. That’s what we’re supposed to believe Mark 4:29-30 is saying, which is why the undertones of what Mr. Bradshaw is saying is that Adventists aren’t doing enough and the time of trouble’s coming quickly. So, do you want to make it? Then do more. You haven’t done enough. This is how the great controversy theme distorts and spiritually abuses and malign Adventists that sit under teaching like this. It sounds real pious and noble. But it’s a deception on numerous fronts

And it’s not arrived at through verse byverse exes Jesus through the Bible. It’s just a bunch of proof texts that veil an extra biblical worldview that uses those proof texts to make what’s being presented sound biblical. It is spiritual abuse to tell people that unless they achieve something that’s not possible, they won’t be saved. Total sinlessness will come when glorification happens, not before. Notice from one of Ellen White’s alleged visions, folks, in 1850. And Adventist critics of Christianity can’t try and skirt around this, by the way, with the whole that was before 1863

Excuse because this is allegedly coming from God through their prophetus regardless of whether or not the 7th Day Adventist Institution was incorporated as an organization at the point of this vision. Quote, “In a vision given June 27, 1850, my accompanying angel said, “Time is almost finished. Do you reflect the lovely image of Jesus as you should? Are you sinlessly perfect? Then I was pointed to the earth and saw that there would have to be a getting ready among those who have of late embrace the third angel’s message. Said the angel, “Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Ye will

Have to die a greater death to the world than ye have ever yet died. I saw that there was a great work to do for them and but little time in which to do it. Close quote. Yeah, this is basically John Bradshaw just worded differently. Their prophetus claimed that God said time was what? Almost up. 1850 folks. And the angel from God told Ellen that people needed to reflect the lovely image of Jesus in order to be ready. Same thing we read in great controversy. And just like the great controversy quote was, you know, was said in the context of the time of trouble, this

Warning was being given because at the time it was believed that Jesus was going to return in 1850 and the time of trouble was going to begin. These critics of Christianity love to claim that Ellen didn’t set any false dates because they think statements like this aren’t her date uh you know setting a date, right? It’s just her giving a supposed vision which was allegedly confirming the dates set by other people. It’s just crazy, man. You know, and like I said, I know Adventists mean well, folks. Most Adventists are great people. I tell people this all the time. I don’t hate

Adventists, the individuals. I hate this system. The system is demonic. It’s deceptive. And God hates it. And I hate what God hates. I hate this false teaching that deceives people because I love Adventists. And I get worked up about this because I hate this demonic teaching. I hate it. And it irks me to see these false teachers prop propping up this false prophet deceiving people. That’s why I started this effort. I’m going to do something about it. I’m not going to sit around. I understand Adventists, most Adventists are well-meaning people, but you got to call a spade a spade.

Stop defending this nonsense. It’s ridiculous the sort of defenses they’ll come up with. Well, time is still short. No, dude. She didn’t set any false dates, right? She’s just getting visions confirming dates that other people said. Give me a break. Stop with the games. Time wasn’t almost up for the people that heard their novel message in 1850. And it wasn’t just that they were going to die soon. This was in the context of Jesus returning, probation closing. But all the people who had newly heard their message there in June of 1850 had a lot of work to do to get ready to get

To this totally sinless condition before the return that was supposed to be happening later that year. And they needed to get busy. You had a lot of work to do. They had a great work to do but little time in which to do it. So, if you encounter an Adventist who argues that Ellen White said a person will always struggle with sin, then thank them for admitting that Ellen White was a false prophet, that this vision she allegedly had in 1850 wasn’t from God, that she contradicted herself in the great controversy, which is supposed to be barricaded by a thus

Sayeth the Lord, where she says, “In order to make it through the time of trouble, you’ll have to already be as sinless as Jesus was. So, get busy.

And this is perfectly in line with the sanctification model of the great controversy paradigm. I get so tired of the silly excuses some of them try to make to defend the indefensible. I’m aware that Ellen White contradicted herself on this. I know all the flowery quotes in Steps to Christ, Acts of the Apostles. I’ve read all of this, the sanctified life. and she’s focusing on instantaneous sanctification in those instances. And she says she rejects that. I do too. The idea that in an instant you’re just totally sinless. That’s what she’s arguing against in all these quotes that

They send. I’ve never said that this is what she’s advocating for. I made this chart and this is a visual representation of the view. I’ve shown this before. It’s on our website. I’ve shown where she claimed that Jesus gradually imparts his righteousness to you, making up for where you fall short. That’s the pathway to salvation. Eventually though, you have to get to a point where this no longer needs to happen because this opportunity is only available until probation closes and Jesus ceases being a mediator. in which case you have to be totally

Sinless and able to stand in the sight of Almighty God without an intercessor. Remember what Ted Wilson said about the pouring out of the latter rain. He talks about this all the time. He prays. He says every morning for the outpouring of the latter rain. Look where that’s at on the chart. That’s supposed to be indicative of when there there’s almost enough Adventists that are totally sinless and probation’s going to close and there’s going to be all these sorts of prophets and people giving vision getting visions and all this sort of stuff. Okay. Now, what is Matthew 5:48 actually saying? We’re going to start by reading this whole section. He transfers here to talking Jesus does. He’s expounding upon the law in this chapter. The infamous you’ve heard that it said I told you if you know you you actually physically act out on the the action of adultery. You’ve heard that that’s wrong. But I tell you if you look upon a woman with lust. He’s expounding upon the law in this chapter. And these final verses to end the chapter are him transitioning to talking about loving others. Notice what he says. You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” But I say to you, “Love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your

Father who is in heaven. For he makes his son rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect as your father is perfect? Close quote. Ellen White in the SDA Bible commentary tried to use this to support this whole concept of vindicating God by achieving sinless perfectionism and perfect

And I’m using him for a very specific reason. because Adventists tend to love appealing to him. Quote, Christ now ends this chapter with this teaching and these illustrations and says, “Therefore, be ye perfect as

Your father in heaven is perfect.” Here our sophists who have indulged in many dreams about perfection, meaning sinless perfection, and have applied everything to their orders and classes as if pastors and monks alone were in the state of perfection. He hears talking about Roman Catholicism, and one higher than the other, the bishops higher than the others, and the pope the highest of all. In this way, this word is snatched away entirely from the ordinary class of Christians as if they could not be called or be perfect. But you hear that Christ is not

That they will full they will love their enemies and they won’t show part partiality in that love. The the be ye perfect as your father in heaven is perfect is a statement of likeness not quality. It’s a statement of likeness not quality. I’ve yet to meet a single human being that loves as perfectly as God does. The point being, the text is not saying if someone wants to be saved, they need to be as perfect as God is. Because if it were, then everyone is doomed. You and you vindicate God. That isn’t being as perfect as God. That’s you trying over and over and over again after you’ve already sinned. Who even knows how many times? Jeremiah said, “The heart is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things.” And so we were the hearts that we cannot tame. Hearts that we cannot straighten out have been called to live in earth’s last days. We have been called. You don’t hear this in church. We have been called to live in the sight of a holy God without a mediator in the heavenly sanctuary. This is a singular unique

While the investigative judgment is going forward in heaven, while the sins of the penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification

This is what John Bradshaw is getting at. their health message can supposedly heal your body and help you live longer while also being a part of your salvation with God. Because notice again, quote, the health reform I was shown is a part of the third angel’s message and is just as closely connected with it as the arm and the uh as as are the arm and the hand with the body. One must embrace this message to be made right with God and spend eternity with him. Not just believed, but practiced and lived out in such a manner that demonstrates one can stick to the principles required for heaven. Supposedly, of course. Quote, “The Apostle Paul exhorts the church. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,

Acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Men then can make their bodies unholy by sinful indulgences. If unholy, they are unfitted to be spiritual worshippers and are not worthy of heaven. If man will cherish the light that God in mercy gives him upon health reform, he may be sanctified through the truth and fitted for immortality. But if he disregards that light and lives in violation of natural law, he must pay the penalty. Close quote. What did I show you earlier on that sanctification chart? That’s the pathway to being made fit for

Heaven. This is included in all of that. If you’re not following the health message, you are unfit to be a spiritual worshipper of God and you’re not worthy of heaven. If you disregard the health message and live in violation of it, you’ll pay the penalty, which is annihilation in their model. And yes, it includes all meat, Adventists. This is another thing I get sick of hearing. Our church doesn’t teach that uh all meat, just unclean meat. No, you’re a modernist. You’re a modernist. you’re out of step with the alleged light from the heavenly throne room

That she just told us if you reject you’re not fit for heaven. Quote, “Again and again, I’ve been shown, wow, double emphasis. Again and again, I’ve been shown that God is trying to lead us back step by step to his original design that man should subsist upon the natural products of the earth. Among those who are waiting for the coming of the Lord, the second coming, meat eating will eventually be done away. Flesh will cease to be a form or or to form a part of their diet. Close quote. All meat, not just clean meats. She mentioned earlier that going against

The health message is going against natural law. This is what she means. This is one of many examples. Quote, God has written his law upon every nerve and uh every nerve and muscle, every fiber and function of the human body. The indulgence of a natural appetite, whether for tea, coffee, tobacco, or liquor, is in temperance, and is at war with the laws of life and health. By using these forbidden articles, a condition of things is created in the system, which the creator never designed. This indulgence in any of the members of the human family is sin. The

Eating of food that does not make good blood is working against the laws of our physical organism and is a violation of the law of God. The cause produces the effect. Suffering, disease, and death are the sure penalty of indulgence. Close quote. Which brings us full circle. Yes, she claims that not following and adhering to this health message will result in the damnation of your soul. Tea, coffee, tobacco, meat in any capacity, in any capacity, will disqualify you from being worthy of heaven. This is because all of these things, including condiments, by the way,

Mustard, like what’s the excuse on this one, Adventists? Well, mustard back in the 1800s, you don’t understand. It was this really intense, you know, it was like this. It was like battery acid. No, this woman just didn’t know what she was talking about. Let’s just use AAM’s razor. All these things that she listed here, including a ton of other things, but including condiments, are sinful and injurous to the body. And anything that does that is sinful. She says, “You have to be sinlessly perfect to be fit for heaven in this model. If you’re eating meat, condiments, tea,

Coffee, tobacco, alcohol in any capacity, you’re sinning, which means you’re not fit for heaven.” So, individual Adventists, including people like Ted Wilson, can claim their movement doesn’t teach that part of being qualified to be savable in Adventist the system, includes the health message. But their prophetus does and they tell us she’s divinely inspired and this is light from God himself that must be accepted and obeyed. And there is no question that she includes this as a part of their novel message of salvation and how you can be made right with God which is what the

Gospel ultimately centers on. But this is why CO was allegedly a missed opportunity for them according to John Bradshaw. But it’s a false gospel. Tea’s not a sin. Condiments aren’t a sin. Meade eating is not a sin. Alcohol isn’t a sin when used in moderation. Tobacco isn’t a sin when used in moderation. 19th century American temperance movement standards are not now the standard for how to get into heaven. It’s like, I don’t care if there’s meat eating in heaven. I don’t care if there’s alcohol in heaven. I don’t care about any of that. I literally do not

Care what the diet is. I don’t even think about that. I think about Jesus, partaking of him, eternally bonded with him as sustainer of life. I’m not thinking about food. I don’t care. I don’t care. I don’t care if he said the diet to get in is eating slugs. I just had Dr. Brandt Bosserman on to talk about Romans 14 and what the historical context is in the discussion there that Paul is addressing. And as Dr. Bostonman pointed out Paul was addressing both minimalists and maximalists when it came to not just daykeeping but also dietary restrictions

By minimalist and maximalist. That’s just the technical way of saying the the weaker and the stronger brother. And Paul’s exhortation for them is to not be divided over these matters as long as they’re united at the Lord’s table to share in that one meal and partake of the same Christ in the same meal. The same Paul that says the kingdom of God is not a a matter or or or Jesus who says the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. and that anyone that serves God in this way is pleasing to him.

Ellen White’s claims regarding the health message being a salvation issue hold zero credence in the context of Paul’s advice or Jesus’s advice, especially if the health message is allegedly apostolic. Get this. Ellen White claims it was. Look what she claimed in Desire of Ages regarding the ascension. This is from the chapter where she’s talking about the ascension. Quote, “To many of the afflicted ones who received healing, Christ said, “Sin no more, lest a worse thing uh come upon thee.” John 5:14. Thus, he taught that disease is the result of violating God’s laws, both

Natural and spiritual. The great misery in the world would not exist did men but live in harmony with the creator’s plan. Christ has been the guide and teacher of ancient Israel. And he taught them that health is the re the reward of obedience to the laws of God. The great physician who healed the sick in Palestine had spoken to his people from the pillar of cloud, telling them what they must do and what God would do for them, aka at the ascension. Chapter 86 titled go into all nations. And she’s speaking here about the ascension. While ascending, Jesus allegedly told the apostles that health is the reward for obedience to the laws of God, which she says, “The law of God is written on every fiber of your being, and by not following the health message, you violate the law of God.” And this is ultimately being said to bolster and support the SDA health message. Whether or not Jesus gave them as many details as are given through Ellen White supposedly is still being uh you know it’s still being said by her to bolster

The SDA health message to make it sound apostolic. But if people supposedly followed this message there wouldn’t be any disease. Sounds like Kenneth Copeland. These other prosperity peddlers they say the same thing. They just say that it starts in your mind and that if you accept disease is real etc. then it will be real in your life. But if you think positive thoughts about your health, then you won’t get diseases. Ellen White essentially says the same thing, only if you follow the health message, you won’t be violating the law of God. And it’s through

The children of Israel. They’re there on the banks of the Red Sea after their deliverance. It’s documenting the march of the children of Israel from the Red Sea to the wilderness of Shure and of the bitter waters found at Mea that the Israelites grumbled about. Those waters were then made sweet by a log or tree. Some translations will say that was thrown into the water. But verse 26 is God telling Israel they wouldn’t be plagued with the diseases that he plagued the Egyptians with if they listened to him. And mind you, this is before Sinai. Israel was only spared by the plagues

That came on Israel because God was their great healer, which is one of the hallmarks of the true God. He alone heals diseases. Psalm 103:3. This is a picture of God, the great healer, saving his people of their sins. It’s a picture of the gospel. How does this support that if you follow the health message revealed through Ellen White that you’ll be rewarded with health? That’s not the gospel. The gospel is the good news about the person and work of Jesus Christ. Not that you must avoid tea and coffee and mustard or you’re not going to be savable by God and you’ll get all sorts

Of diseases for your alleged disobedience. Folks, I know all sorts of Adventists that followed the health message to a tea. They get dementia, they get cancer, they die like everybody else. They don’t live longer. All this propaganda around the blue zones. It’s like the Okinawa, Japan zone, one of the staple proteins is pork. One of the staple parts of the diet in the one in Greece is wine. zero reason for Ellen White to cite this to try and support what she claimed in her own words to try and make it appear in harmony with the Bible. Adventist throw back to you when you critique this. They’ll just go and look and well, what verse did she appeal to to support it? Okay, I’ll just throw that verse out to to him and that means it’s biblical. No, dude. You’re just I wish Adventists were taught to read the Bible and see the gospel and see Jesus, not something about you, not you. It’s not all about you. It’s about Jesus. The whole Bible’s about Jesus. You’re a sideh show. You’re not the focal character. You’re not the star of the show. The Adventist Church is not the star of the show.

This stuff is teaching us about Jesus, about the gospel, about the Messiah who would come. There’s all sorts of stuff we get into here about the water and the wood and and and all of that pointing to to Christ. But he also talked about when SDAs are staring down the barrel of a gun, metaphorically, sort of, aka when Christians are allegedly hunting down Adventists during the time of trouble because they won’t obey the Sunday law. Adventists are going to have to do a lot better and be far more united than they were during COVID. He says, “This whole sermon, folks, is just fear,

Fear, fear. You’re not doing enough to be ready for Jesus’s return. You failed at CO, which was supposedly a test for the remnant church to see how well they would do when the heats really turned up, which won’t be anything to compare compared to what’s coming.” And on and on and on. This is why I have concern for SDAs, folks. There’s no gospel in John Bradshaw’s message. There’s nothing here about the good news of Jesus Christ’s perfect person and work and that despite your shortcomings. Jesus accomplished redemption for you. He’s enough. So believe that by faith. Come to his

Table. Receive him in the sacrament of the eukarist in the supper. No, Adventist Eucharist is not synonymous with transubstantiation either. I get that. I just had a guy this past week telling me I believe transubstantiation. I said, “No, I don’t.” He said, “Yeah, you do. I’ve heard you say it.” No, you didn’t. The time of trouble must take place, etc. It’s not conditional, they say, which is so ironic. On the one hand, they claim the return of Christ is imminent. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. It could happen at any moment.

But at the same time, you know, there’s a number of things that have to happen first and they haven’t happened yet and you could clearly see if they have. Well, so it’s not as imminent as you claim. It was a wakeup call, friend. A wakeup call. Do we not see how serious this thing is? Do we not understand how how cataclysmic the challenges of earth’s last days are going to be? We must see God in his mercy gave us a dry run. And he said, “You get it now. I’ve been telling you for thousands of years, a time of trouble such as never was.” And here we are. This was not factional.

This was not sectarian. This didn’t happen in some little part of Europe or some we country in Africa. This was global. The terms of engagement have been rewritten now and we are in this thing deep. Well, let’s go quickly. Book of Amos. God shows us how important it is to be awake. Amos opens with God pronouncing judgments upon the nations surrounding Israel and Israel. And he says this. He says in Amos, uh uh uh I have brought judgments to you. Food was scarce. And then he says, “Yet you have not returned to me.” Huh? Listen. He says, “I kept the rain from falling.

Yet you did not return to me.” We got droughts out west. Have you seen Isn’t it Lake Me? An area seven times larger than Manhattan was underwater. But there’s so little water that is all dry land down. We’re talking about a colossal area. People out west, I was talking to a farmer recently, a man who grows crops. He said, “You’re going to take our water away.” I said, “If they take your water away, there’ll be no crops. We’ll start to starve.” He said, “They’re going to take our water away. We’re in a crisis right now.” God said, “Back then, I kept

The rain from falling. You didn’t return to me.” You you you could you can go ahead and blame global warming if you want. Blame it all you want. and and and I don’t think you can get away with polluting the atmosphere uh wantingly and not paying the price. I’m sure there has to be some kind of kickback surely. But you can blame you can blame global years ago we blamed El Nino. You never hear of El Nino now. Then it was L’O kind of fell out of fashion. Now it’s global warming. Repentance and a lack of prayer because God said, “If of my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray,” what did he say? I will heal their land. This is just a reflection of the abject spiritual poverty our nation is experiencing right now. And God’s people are called to pray. When judgments come, we are to return to God. The judgments are not a reflection of the lack of mercy on God’s part. This is God saying, “I don’t know how to get through to you people. You’ve junked the Ten Commandments.” Christian churches brag about how they’ve done that.

Morality isn’t even a thing anymore. They’re euthanizing. They’re abort. So, so before they born, they’re euthanizing him. And when sorry, they’re aborting him. And when they’re old, they’re euthanizing them. And God is saying, “What? Of course, there will be judgments because I want you to turn to me. I want you to reconsider this the stupidity and the destruction of your ways. Food was scarce. I kept the rain from falling, yet you didn’t return to me. I sent pestilence among you. Overthrew some of you Sodom and Gomorrah, but you still didn’t return to me. God was saying the

Trouble, the judgments were an invitation to return to him. God was not being tyrannical. God was being merciful in Amos chapter 5. Seek the Lord and you shall live. Seek the creator and so forth. And then from verse 18, woe unto you that listen. Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord. All right. Now, we all desire the seventh day Adventist. We got it in our name. We desire the day of the Lord. Woe. Now understand Amos was written to a certain group of people at a certain point in time. But we understand too that all those things were written unto them for

And then he chooses to use certain prophets, but man, they just can’t quite get it right either. He can speak physical matter into creation ex nahilo but man he just can’t seem to to communicate correctly to that creation. Folks I know John Bradshaw probably means well and he says a lot of truisms here like that Jesus must have our hearts. Yes. And what does that mean? What does that look like? Well, he goes on in this sermon to give

An example of Sabbath breaking in the in in does God really have your heart in that context? And he gives an example of Sabbath breaking by referring to Adventists that go and eat Cracker Barrel on Saturday and he says it that’s a sin and you know it, but many of you don’t want to admit such that they’re only in church for one hour but then they spend two at Cracker Barrel. says, “Mr. Bradshaw, not going to get food at a restaurant on Saturday isn’t a sign that you’ve given your heart to Jesus.” This is why Adventist theology completely misses the substance of the

Sabbath and doesn’t even understand it. Remember that everything he’s saying is all in the context of making it through the time of trouble. And remember what we looked at earlier about how one does that, achieving sinless perfectionism. The second coming in this model is held up by not enough Adventists perfectly reproducing the character of Jesus and vindicating God. Jesus longs to return. We heard it from Ted. We heard it from Ellen White. John Bradshaw is essentially alluding to that. He’s just longing with desire to come back, but he can’t because Adventists are

Going to get Cracker Barrel on Saturdays. So, they’re not prepared for the second coming. I mean, seriously.

The people, the Adventists that are going and getting Cracker Barrel on Saturdays, he goes on to say, are the ones who are going to be crying out for the rocks to fall on them like in Revelation. Oh, maybe it’s because they’re going to Cracker Barrel and it’s not just that they’re going on Saturday, but they’re getting the chicken fried steak. No, Lord. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Hey, I drank the coffee and crap. It’s just more lambasting of SDAs for not being good enough, delaying the second coming, not taking things seriously enough, etc. He said, “It’s not a matter of whether

You screw up along the way. It’s whether you’re following the direction of Jesus that matters.” Yeah. Except John Bradshaw’s prophetus and the SCA pioneers didn’t teach this. And this is the problem with modern Adventist thinking. He chastises modernist Adventist thinkers who justify going to Cracker Barrel on Saturdays, but then says stuff like this, which is a modernist take. But notice, review and Herald, December 10, 1889. Quote, “And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.” Genesis 5:24. It is only a short journey to the heavenly hills, brethren,

If we walk with God. In John 15:10, Jesus tells us he kept his father’s commandments. He does not say, “I am trying to keep them.” But he says, “I have kept them.” So, it is not enough to say or or it is not enough that we try to keep the commandments. We must keep them. The character of the saints is not established by their failures to keep the commands of God, but by their success in doing so. Those who simply try to keep the commandments are moral cripples. They do not walk with God. They simply hobble along after him. Close quote. This is the actual consistent teaching

Within the system that John Bradshaw is a salesman for. Simply following the direction of Jesus as best as you can is not enough. Total perfection is required. Total sinless perfection. Otherwise, you’re just a moral that hobbles along after God, but you aren’t really following him. Completely consistent with what we’ve seen this evening from Ellen White, too. John’s been talking about the glorious second coming throughout his talk. And I always have to bring this up as well. Ellen White said the second coming, folks, already happened. And she’s not using second coming here

As you’ll see in just some lukewarm generalized sense. Notice, quote, “In the days of the early Christians, Christ came the second time. His first advent was at Bethlehem when he came as an infant. His second advent was at the aisle of Patmos, where he revealed himself in glory to John the Revelator, who fell at his feet as dead when he saw him.” Manuscript 169, 1902. close quote. She compares and contrasts this with the first coming at the incarnation. First advent was in Bethlehem. The second was when he came to Patmos to give John the revelation. So Jesus

Revealing himself to John on Patmos was the equivalent of the second coming even though it wasn’t. But what why hasn’t Jesus actually returned? It’s not because he’s still conducting the investigative judgment or because not enough Adventists have arrived at a sinlessly perfect condition or because Adventists go and eat Cracker Barrel on Saturdays. Jesus hasn’t returned yet because he isn’t done with history. And what that involves is all of his enemies being made his foottool as he rules and reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is a now and not yet component to

This. In one sense, Christ overcame all enemies on the cross and in the grave, specifically death. But his ultimate triumph over such didn’t actually remove that enemy out of the temporal realm. Yet, people still physically die even though death is defeated. The New Testament tells us that when Jesus returns, it is to cast out the last enemy into the lake of fire. That enemy being death. meaning death will literally be no more temporally. Leading up to that, more enemies are still being put under Jesus’s feet as a foottool. This is being done as history

Unfolds with Jesus ruling and reigning. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul’s speaking about what was accomplished through death, burial, and resurrection. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. He lays out a number of things, but he includes, “But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, Adam, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead, the second Adam. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. but each in his own order. Christ the first

Fruits. Then it is coming. Those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end. Then comes the end when he delivers the kingdom of God or or the yeah the kingdom of God the father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For God has put all things in subjection under his feet. Quoting from the psalter. But when it says all things are put in subjection, it is plain that he is accepted who put all things in subjection under him.

When all things are subjected to him, then the son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him. that God may be all in all. Thus the reading of God’s holy word. Death entered the world through Adam. The second Adam came and redeemed what the first Adam broke, giving them a way out of death. Those that remain in the first Adam, the old creation, will die. Those that are transferred into Christ are made alive. Christ being the first fruits of that new creation. But then Paul said what? Then comes the end when Jesus will deliver the kingdom over

To the father after destroying every rule and authority and power. He did what the first Adam failed to do. The command, one of the commands to Adam, subdue the earth. Adam failed to do that perfectly. The second Adam doesn’t. as king of kings and lord of lords, all authority in heaven and on earth. He perfectly subdues it. And he’s making all of his enemies a foottool. The last one of those being death. Once this happens, then the work of Christ as the second Adam fulfilling that dei dominion mandate will be complete. He will have subdued the earth

Perfectly which Adam was told to do but failed. And Revelation 20 tells us that once this happens, death and the wicked, that enemy and the wicked will together be cast into the lake of fire. Then I saw a great white throne, and him who was seated on it. From his presence, earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books according to what they had done. And the

Sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one of them according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Thus the reading of God’s holy word. So after all of Jesus’s enemies are made his foottool, he will return and the great day of judgment will occur. As a part of that judgment, the contents of Hades

Along with death will be cast into the lake of fire. Hades is the equivalent of a jail cell for the wicked. Those that perish, who are not in Christ, they go to this holding cell to await their sentencing, which is the great day of judgment. And after the great day of judgment, when they are judged, they’ll then be thrown into the lake of fire along with that final enemy, death. Perfectly consistent with Jesus’s own words in Matthew 13:24-48, where he says when he returns, it’s not to take righteous people away to somewhere else. It’s to throw the wicked

Out of his kingdom and receive the harvest of their labors. Those who are born again, that’s who’s ready for the second coming. And Jesus has not returned yet because there is still enemies to be put underneath his feet. enemies like the Seventh Day Adventist movement, which leads of people after a false god and a false gospel at the behest of a false prophet. A a movement that binds people spiritually and can’t actually bring you to streams of living water. It will sell you fool’s gold while telling you it’s the real deal. The delay has nothing to do with

Adventists. It has nothing to do with the Adventist gospel needing to go to more people. Nothing to do with enough sinlessly perfect SDAs. Nothing to do with the investigative judgment. Nothing to do with Adventists going to Cracker Barrel. And like John Bradshaw, I share in the zeal of seeing the return of Christ. Which is why I desire to see the enemy of Seventh Day Adventism put under the feet of King Jesus and confined to the history books as a false system that wared against the true gospel and the true Christ and the true body of Christ, but lost.

That’s Adventism’s actual role in the second coming. An enemy to be put under Jesus’s feet. And I don’t mean all the people caught within the movement, folks. Again, I’ve emphasized that a lot tonight. I’m not talking about the individual people. I’m talking about the system of beliefs. Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventism, Unity, Islam, these systems are all enemies of the truth. They’re enemies of the true God and his kingdom. They bear messages that will damn a person’s soul to predition if accepted and believed. And praise God, these will be defeated

In time, temporally in history, just like all of Christ’s enemies will. I want Adventists to come out of this deception and be saved, which is why I’m willing to be forthright and say the quiet part out loud.
