Adventists is regarding their view of sinless perfectionism what they will call character Perfection if you disagree with them they will assert something like uh this commenter did so you’re saying we should sin With God all things are possible even coming to the point of not sinning so I do not think that makes her talking about Ellen White a liar this comment was on a video Examining The Logical conclusions of one of Ellen White’s statements regarding redeem people being sinlessly perfect when I took umbrage with this the Assumption was that I was advocating for

Carnal living and that we should just live it up in sin it’s either you agree with the SDA teaching or you must be saying that but this is a false dilemma and it’s predicated also on a faulty Assumption of what sin is this individual like many sdas believes sin is strictly behavioral not something that also touches upon one’s nature the point of my video was not to advocate for living in sin but pointing out the truncated view of sin that Ellen and the SDA Pioneers had and that is still present in the SDA church today which is why many of them like that commenter

Actually think that they will achieve total sinlessness in their current falling condition which short circuits the process of Salvation namely the act of glorification another common topic that they will employ this fallacy with is the law of God so when doing apologetics with sdas always make sure that your radar is up for this fallacy so that you can point out to the individual why their premise is flawed and that there are more than the two options that they have put forth now if you’ve spent much time consuming our content you will hear me mention the

Verbatim fallacy quite often that’s because like the others this is a super common fallacy employed by 7eventh day Adventists across the board but what’s unique about this one is they tend to only employ it in one context and that is the subject of the Sabbath for example you’ll hear them say stuff like this now on the first day of the week very early in the morning they came to the seler the tomb is there anything in here that says and God established a new Sabbath day so we’re looking at all the references of the first day we’re looking for that

Commandment but the biblical text doesn’t have to say something verbatim for it to be present within the text and adous theologians recognize this because if the standard were consistently held 90% of ese atheology would be nullified because nowhere does the bible verbatim say Jesus started the investigative judgment in 1844 nowhere does the biblical text of verbatim say go to church on Saturday yet these are all things that Adventists believe and to try and prove them they will try and utilize reason deduction and inference to show them from scripture it’s only

When it comes to the subject of the Sabbath that all of a sudden they claim things like show me one verse in the Bible that says go to church on Sunday or the Sabbath was changeed to Sunday this is not only bad reasoning but inconsistent reasoning so be on the lookout for this sneaky fallacy as well last up is what’s known as the genetic fallacy this fallacy is when someone’s argument or claims are dismissed or even validated based on their source of origin rather than their content saying something is wrong because of the person that’s saying it

For example one of sda’s favorite areas to employ this fallacy is on the topic of new creation and why the first day is the memorial of the new creation we talk about this subject a lot on the platform so we hear this one utilized a lot so how exactly is it utilized on one of our longer streams dealing with the subject this person writes correction new creation is a Catholic tradition not what scripture teaches get that right so besides the error of assuming that Rome didn’t derive their understanding of New Creation from scripture this individual
