Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? We explore the dangerous statements put forth by some of the SDA Church’s “celebrity” pastors, as well as their publications, and show that many Adventists have been deceived by these claims from their leadership. Apologist Sam Shamoun joins to dispel these myths and explain where the SDA Church badly misses the mark.

Hey there. Welcome wherever and whenever you might be watching. An especially warm welcome if this is your first time with us, Adventist, uh, Muslim or otherwise. So, we’re going to be talking about something I’ve wanted to talk about for quite some time on the platform, and that is Adventism and Islam. You might be thinking that seems like an odd pairing and you’re correct. It is. So stick around. We are going to end up uh ruffling a lot of feathers and that’s okay. Not only because uh work like this by nature provokes people, but because my guest tonight is a fire brand, his
Style is not for everyone. So, I’m giving you a heads up now that if you are not a fan of bare knuckle apologetics, tonight might not be for you. But if you are ready to potentially learn a lot from a guest that is very knowledgeable in this area and realize that you can still learn from people you disagree with, you are in for a treat and will be greatly benefited. Sam Shimone, who I often refer to as the Assyrian uh encyclopedia. He has been engaged in Islamic apologetics for many decades. He’s written numerous articles for uh answering Isislam.com. Hey, that’s kind
Of a fancy name around here. And has a YouTube channel called uh Shamunian where he live streams I think I think more than anyone else on the entire platform. Now, this is a subject that is very important to address with the hope and goal being that folks not only learn about the dangers of Islam, but specifically that Adventists and former Adventists, particularly that have potentially been influenced by the SDA church and some of her leaders will be warned. The watering down and tacit approval of Islam by some within the Seventh Adventist organization reveals that they
Are either knowing deceivers or are genuinely deceived themselves. To which we will let you decide for yourself. If you’re an Adventist before you write out your dissertation, yes, I’m aware not all Adventists agree with what we’re going to look at tonight. Fully aware of it. So save the keystrokes for a different point of contention because that isn’t the claim that’s being made tonight. Okay, setting the stage. We know not all SDAs agree with this. We’re aware there are those within the ranks of the SDA church who do possess influence and have without question
Caused much confusion. And I’ve engaged with these individuals. That’s the other reason this is on my radar because I can’t tell you how many SDAs I’ve engaged with and he heard them their views and their thoughts around Islam and just where are you getting this from? Oh, so and so. Oh, an Adventist leader. So, without question, there are leaders that have caused more confusion to people by not only pedalling Adventist theology and pumping them full of that mess, but then also misrepresentations of Islam, both of which need spoken into, which is exactly what we plan to
Do. But before I bring my guest in, I want to remind you all that if you like what we’re doing here, consider becoming a member of the channel. It is due to the generous partnerships from our viewers that we are able to do this work and fulfill our mission to educate as many Christians as possible to reach as many Seventh Day Adventists as possible. For the cost of a cup of coffee, about five bucks, you can gain access to our growing library of membersonly content, including membersonly live streams where uh time is specifically carved out to function
As a utility for you, the viewer. Maybe you’ve had a question that requires a more in-depth back and forth. Maybe you’ve emailed us and haven’t gotten a response. Sorry, it’s a little backed up. Those hangouts, the membersonly live streams are the perfect opportunity to bring that question and work through it to sharpen your sword and reach SDAs in your vicinity. So, please consider joining. You can click the little join button down below this video. If you are on a desktop, I don’t believe on mobile it pops up. Otherwise, you can go to the channel homepage and you will find the
Same button in multiple locations. Well, with that said, Sam, thank you for being here. Hey, thank you for having me. My shirt’s a little big. I pray I keep on growing my shirts, but glory to the father, son, holy spirit. As is my habit, I ask the father in Jesus name to anoint you and I, fill us with the holy spirit. And I ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. Save us from error and grant us perfect recall of every jot to the poor scripture and perfect ex Jesus even as we represent Islam. And may the Holy Spirit illuminate the folks who are here
Not only to know why Islam is false and our faith is true and that Jesus is Lord, but to walk in obedience and glorify the Lord. I pray we practice what we preach. More of Christ, less of us in Jesus name. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Now, one thing for the people who are here from my channel. I love this brother. He’s one of those brothers that I told you. He comes from a reformed background. He’s solid. He loves the Lord. Hustle the faith and he’s growing. Keep praying for him. But respect his channel. I already saw
Someone trying to preach Catholicism here. Don’t do that. This is his channel. Respect his channel. Just like I ask people, respect my channel. Hit the like button, subscribe, support this brother, pray for him. We’re all growing, but do not be disrespectful to his channel. You don’t come and preach your agenda. He’s got a topic. Stay focused. You guys are lucky. I’m not the mod. I block half of you by now. But glory to God. May your numbers increase for the glory of Christ, brother. So, what’s going on? As you can see, I’m old. I’m not young like you. And my
Throat is wearing out. No, you’re totally fine. I really appreciate that. Thank you. Because that’s exactly the point that that’s not the point for tonight. So, let’s try and really remain focused because this is really important to to get into and really dissect. So, I want to start by doing a little bit of a crash course on Islam before we look at some SDA materials. But first, beyond the little that I shared. Yes. Who are you? Why do you also use the name uh Halal Hogan and how did you get involved with Islamic apologetics? Excellent questions. Again, I want to be
As accurate as I can representing Islam. So ask the Lord to correct all our errors and guide us in truth. And again, we need his grace for health. As you can see, man, when you get my age, Miles, you’re going to be thinking about your younger years and say, “Wow, I used to be able to speak for hours.” So may the spirit strengthen my throat. Halal Hogun. That was a character that David Wood developed for the series Islamicize Me. If you guys don’t remember the series, you can still find it online where I played the Muslim version of Hulk Hogan. You can actually find it
Online. You put Halal Hogan and also I played the mad sheh. Now, who am I? Well, I’m Assyrian, meaning I am a son of Asher. I’m not Syrian. Assyrian. My p my family are from a Christian background because Assyrians were one of the first groups that create converted Christianity. But the church throughout the ages was labeled notorian and were attacked and condemned that were not historians. I’m not historian. But that’s my background. In the ‘9s when I decided to return back to the Christian faith, I encountered Muslims introduced to Islam was really shocked about learning
About Islam because remember I’m not I don’t want to belabor the point but I want you to understand my background though we’re from the Middle East and I was born in Kuwait. I was born in Kuwait but I came to Chicago at the age of two in 1974. So, I don’t remember Kuwait. I don’t remember the Middle East. My parents were from Iraq. But they didn’t tell me anything about Islam or Muslims. They didn’t even tell me anything about Christianity. I learned that from a young boy named Raymond who at the age of nine when I was seven preached the gospel to me. And
His grandmother was a godly woman who taught us how to pray. But later on in life fell away. But then when I wanted to return, I encountered Muslims for the first time in America. That’s when I encountered Muslims in America. I ironic, isn’t it? Family from Middle East said nothing about Islam. I learned about it here. And so when I read the Quran, I was shocked that there was another religion that mentions the prophets of the Bible and claimed Jesus as their own. So as I started studying, I returned to the New Testament, studied New Testament, fell in love with Jesus,
And then I got attacked verbally, not physically. by a Muslim apologist, Adai, who rocked my world because he had objections I never heard. And that put me on a path of seeking the Lord Jesus and asking the Lord to give me answers so that I would devotees to making sure devote myself to making sure that no Christian would be embarrassed by a Muslim ever again. And that’s what started my journey into apologetics. And in 1999, I joined the staff of answering Islam.org. Not.com. you said.com. You’re trying to send them to our enemies. I thought you were my friend, mister. But
Anyway, I started writing full-time for answeringislam.org, which is also answering Islam.net. Answeringislam.info. Because in the 90s when the internet caught on, there was no Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok. Everything was written means. So we’d have to write written rebuttals which now in hindsight blessing from the Lord because virtually we have an article for every major objection that will help facilitate people who want to do let’s say live streams they can just look at the article and the facts are there so glory to the father son holy spirit and here I
Am that’s my background that’s where I am so that is to say you didn’t just randomly decide to pick on Islam or you actually have uh intimate involvement in Islamic apologetics and understand Islamic theology very well. So on me by the way just let you know if some people wonder why I’m so harsh and tough with Muslims especially those on the internet because Islam picked on me. Islam attacked me. Islam bullied me. And I don’t want to generalize. I have to make this very clear because people get one impression when they see me on on stream, but you’ll get a completely
Different impression if you meet me face to face. Yeah. The majority Muslims that I grew up with in the north side of Chicago, they were some of the most beautiful people you’ll meet, most of them were cultural Muslims, nominal Muslims. They were not devote Muslims. They were just Muslims culturally by name. And they were from the South Asian community, Indopakistan. And they were just like you and I. Same problems you and I face. Same problems with children or broken families. So we need to distinguish between the dreg the sewage of Islam that we see online.
These filthy vile blasphemers from the average Muslims who are just Muslims by name but want to just make it in life and pay their bills. So with those Muslims, they’re some of the most beautiful people you meet. I’m not just saying it. I’m not saying to be politically correct. I met them. Wonderful people, veryospitable. It’s the dreg, the sewage of Islam. These Muslim apologists that are bullies and try to bully you. So Islam came looking for me and bullied me. And I realize how do you put a bully in his or her place? You stand up to the bully and they cower
By the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yeah. It’s it’s context drives like a lot of that. And obviously I get a ton of flack from SDAs for the same sort of stuff. um they they think oftent times that I’m I’m like that 247. I’m always that way when no sometimes the context uh determines that sort of uh the sort of approach that you take. But with that in mind, let’s start here. Like I said, we’re going to do a crash course on Islam for those who may not be plugged in before we look at our SDA um counterparts here. Yep. in Islam, what is shahada and does
It conflict with Christianity? Now, just for the record, people know this is impromptu for me. The brother wanted to send me his notes. I go, I’d rather do it impromptu because I want the Holy Spirit to guide us and fill us for the glory of Jesus Christ. Okay, what is shiada? We have to be clear though just like Christianity and Judaism, Islam is not to use a technical term to sound intelligent because I want to sound smarter than I am monolithic. There’s not one brand or version of Islam. Same thing with Judaism and Christianity. The largest Muslim sect in
The world would be the Sunni sect. The second largest are the Shia. Now among the Sunni sect, you have different branches of Sunni Islam. Same with the Shia. You have different branches similarly to Christianity, right? You have Orthodox, but then you have your flavors of Orthodox, oriental Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, and so on. Catholicism, you have the Roman right. and in Protestantism. So when I talk about Islam, I want people to know that we’re talking about a particular version of Islam because like Christianity, you have Protestants that are solos
Scriptorera, meaning they go with the Bible is the sole infallible rule of faith and all other authorities are subject to scripture. You have the same phenomenon in Islam. I don’t know if you guys know this. So this why I thank Miles. He said I can take my time because I want to be as fair and accurate in representing Islam. You have Quran only Muslims Quran like those Protestants they feel that all you need is the Quran. So when I talk about shiada this is unique to particular group of Muslims. Those who follow only the Quran do not believe in
The shada. They reject the shada and they say it’s idolatry. So I want everyone to be aware. I’m going to speak to the best of my ability about Sunni Islam because the majority of my encounters are with Sunni Muslims, those who follow the Quran and Sunnah. So the Sunnah is how Muhammad implemented the Quran, how he explained the Quran, what he said, what he did, what he forbade, what he allowed and so forth. That’s found in what we call the hadith literature and other sources. So the shahada according to Sunni Islam is when a person from the sincerity of his heart
Or her heart in front of at least two Muslims makes a verbal confession saying I bear witness there is no god but Allah or they will say no deity worthy of worship but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. So in Sunni Islam you must make that confession of faith and that’s the first step. Now, how does that conflict with the New Testament? Well, obviously, if you’re bearing witness that there is no God but Allah. Number one, and we’re going to get into this, that would presuppose that if you’re a Christian, that the Allah of the Muslims
Is the same God revealed in the Bible. Number two, to then say, “I bear witness Muhammad is his messenger.” That again would assume that Muhammad is a prophet like the true prophets mentioned in the Bible sent by the same God who sent them and the God revealed in Jesus Christ. That’s a gratuitous assumption. So the true confession of true believers according to God’s true word, the Holy Bible is pretty much that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. That’s the true confession. Romans 10:9.
And the only way to obtain eternal life is John 17:3 Jesus our Lord as he prays he says this is eternal life that they may know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. So it’s not that I bear witness there is no god but Allah and I bear witness muham is his messenger the messenger Allah it’s no I bear witness that the only true god is the father of our lord Jesus Christ and I bear witness that the father sent Jesus his son to redeem us and those who believe in his name shall be saved or like in 1 Corinthians 8:6 another credle
Confession for to us there’s one god the father of whom are all things and for whom we live and one Lord Jesus Christ by whom are all things and through whom we live. That’s the difference. Now, we can elaborate on it a little later, but I just wanted to give you that as a taste. Excellent. Well, I like that you mentioned there as well, the uh and I was hoping you’d get into that a little bit that it’s not a monolith. It’s not a monolith. Um and so with that, I’m going to piggyback off that with the next question for you. You will hear m Muslims talk about
Jesus. And this is a common thing on this platform as well where I’m pointing out that the Adventist church also talks about Jesus, but they’re talking about a different person than Christians believe in. Absolutely. Muslims have a Jesus. What does Islam teach about Jesus? And is the Issa of Islam the same as the Jesus of history and scripture? Excellent. Well, Paul already told us, we know Paul is a true apostle confirmed by miracles and signs and wonders and by the eyewitnesses to Jesus. Jesus’s own eyewitnesses, those who knew Jesus on earth and were commissioned by him, gave
Paul the right hand of fellowship. So, historically, Paul is a true apostle. And he says in 2 Corinthians 11:es 1-4, you guys can look it up. He warns the church. He warns the church. He says he wants to present the church as a chasteed virgin to one husband, Christ, but he’s afraid that just as the serpent connived Eve with his cunning that he may also seduce you. How does the serpent Satan tried to deceive Christians and rob them of their spiritual virginity? Paul says it 2 Corinthians 11:4. For someone comes and preaches another Jesus from the one we
Preach or presents a different spirit or a different gospel, you put up with it easily. So Paul warns us, Satan will inspire people to give you another Jesus, present a different message, gospel, and a different spirit. So not all the Jesuses are the same Jesus. They are counterfeits of Satan to deceive you into thinking this is the real Jesus. Islam is a satanic counterfeit as is Mormonism as is Jehovah’s Witnesses, Adventism, you name it. The Muslim Isa is not the real Jesus, the Jesus of history, who is the Lord of heaven and earth. He is a counterfeit concocted by
S through Muhammad to get Christians to dupe Christians into thinking Islam honors and respects the Jesus that is loved and adored and worshiped by Christians. That’s Satan’s MMO. This is how he operates. Because Satan knows if he comes up and straight up shows you who he is, you’re not going to follow him. And Satan knows that if he raises up a person to condemn Jesus and dishonors mother, you’re not going to follow him. Satan’s smarter than that. So, Satan will affirm enough truth to get you curious, to peique you your interest, and then suck you in with that
Truth, but then mix that truth with falsehood to damn your soul to hell. That’s who Isa of Islam is. Number one, Asa is not the Arabic form of Jesus’s name. Isa is not ask any Arabic-speaking Christian Jesus’s Hebrew name would be Yeshua shorten form of Yahosua the Arabic equivalent because Arabic Hebrew Aramaic these are seemetic languages they’re sister languages the Arabic equivalent of Yeshua is Yeshua Yeshua that’s why if you read an Arabic New Testament he’s called Yeshua he’s not called Isa that’s the first mistake number two The is of the Quran though
Born of a virgin. If you want me to elaborate on the similarities born of the virgin, virgin Mary. So the Quran acknowledges Jesus was conceived to and born of Mediam. The Arabic name for Mary. Mediam. Now they got that right. But the mediam was the mother of Jesus is the sister of Moses. We can talk about that chronological error in the Quran. So Mary is the only woman mentioned by name in the entire Quran. Of all the women, the mother of Isa, who’s supposedly our Jesus is the only woman mentioned by name in the entire Quran. She’s said to be the greatest of all women. Chapter
3:42, completely pure of any faults. Her and Jesus are a sign unto the world. 23:50 and 21:9. And Jesus is the word of Allah cast down to Mary, a spirit from him. That’s also in the Quran 3:39 speaking of John Yaha as being a forerunner for a word from Allah. Meaning he is sent to be an emissary, an envoy to prepare for the coming of Jesus as the word of Allah. Chapter 3:45 there it says that this word from Allah, his name is Messiah Isa, Messiah Jesus. and 4171. So he is the word of Allah. He is a spirit from Allah. He is the Messiah. He did miracles, raised the dead, opened
The sight of the blind, cleansed lepers, but he also did other things in the Quran not mentioned in the canonical gospels. If you go to chapter 3 verse 49 and chapter 5 verse 110 and then you also go to chapter 3 verse 46 346 49 chapter 5 verse 110 as Holy Spirit gives me perfect recall and corrects all my errors and then if you go to chapter 19 and you read from verse 30 to 33. One of the miracles ascribed to Jesus is that he spoke while an infant in the cradle spoke miraculously in defense of his mother espousing Islamic theology and he would announce what people would store
Up in their homes. And in 349 and 5110 it says that Jesus would fashion clay birds, create clay birds, breathe into the birds and they would come to life. Miracles not found in the canonical gospels. And then we’re told in chapter 3 verse 55 of the Quran and chapter 4 verse 158 that Allah took Jesus to himself. Isa was raised and according to the consensus of Sunni scholars was raised physically to be with Allah and then the Islamic tradition multiply attested narrations attributed to Muhammad say that this Isa will then return physically to the earth and will
Reign for 40 years. Well, those are the similarities and by the way says he’ll come to kill the antichrist al- majal and also destroy jamaj go and magog that’s in the Islamic tradition which are supposed to be authentic multiply attested now what are the differences well he’s not the son of god he’s not god and when he returns he won’t return as king of kings and lord of lords Though he reigns for 40 years, he will eventually die, be buried. Tradition says, next to Muhammad, and then he’ll be raised with Muhammad and the rest of mankind. And during his 40 years, he’s
Going to get married to a good Muslim wife and have at least two sons. And he’s going to name one of them Musa and the other one Muhammad. With that said, there is a passage that’s been controversial. In 457 chapter 4 surah 157 speaking about Asa says that the Jews boasted we killed Jesus the Messiah the son of Mary the apostle of Allah. The response is they neither killed him nor crucified him but it so appeared unto them. Well, that one verse has ignited controversy and difference opinion among the Muslims because one thing you can say is that
The Sunni tradition teaches unanimously that Isa was not killed but Allah made someone look exactly like Issa physically so you can tell him apart and that lookalike was killed. But there’s a debate who was that person made to look like Jesus. Was it one of his disciples who volunteered? Was it Judas who betrayed him? Tatawis, they’re all over the map. So on the basis of that one passage, Sunni tradition denies that Christ was ever killed by crucifixion. Another theory that’s being championed by folks like Shabir Ali, which actually arose out of a heretical movement,
Heretical sect of Islam called the Ahmedia sect, is that Jesus was crucified, but he swooned. He didn’t die. He passed out. But people thought he died and then he was resuscitated. Shalli champions that theory as did the late Ahmedat. And that’s a Sunni tradition. You have traditions within Shia Islam like the Ismileis who say the Quran is saying though they killed his body, they couldn’t really kill his essence because though you die physically, the real you, the spirit continues to live. They’re all over the map and they’re confused. So hope that
Was clear. I don’t know. Yes. So, well, it’s clear that it just goes to show that simply using the name Jesus is not enough. Exactly. What who who are you talking about? And when you start looking at these finer details, um we see yet again, like you mentioned, 2 Corinthians 11-4, this is a false Christ. This is not the Jesus of the Bible. This is a false Jesus. Um and is Yeah. period. Next question. You kind of touched on this somewhat already, but I want you to expound upon it further because I want to again honor what you were saying as well earlier
Regarding fair representation. Lots of people tend to think all Muslims are kind of like violent radical um types. So, is it only radical Islam that violates or or advocates for for violence? Or is radical Islam quote unquote uh a splintered group as well where there are multiple groups of radicalists that maybe even disagree with one another, etc.? Well, to answer the question, here’s the thing. If I look at Islam historically and I go to the oldest sources of Islam, I look at the Quran and then I look at the oldest Islamic traditions, the earliest Muslim sources and I look at
Islam historically, its expansion, violence is part and par parcel of the DNA of Islam. So let me repeat the answer to the question. If I look at the history of Islam and I look at Islam’s oldest sources, their most ancient sources, be it Sunni or Shi, the Sunni and Shia will admit that Islam expanded militarily. They’re not going to deny this. Islam spread by military expeditions under the caliphate, what they call the kilafa. They spread Islam to places and peoples who had never heard of Muslims. And depending on which group they encountered, which group they
Encountered, if it was Jews and Christians, and then some Muslim jurists would extend it to the Persians, what they call the the the fire worshippers as a term of derogator, you know, you know, derogatory term to insult them, deriggation. They call them fire worshippers because they were Zastrians. They would be given three options. Become Muslim, you’ll be safe. Or if you want to remain a Jew or Christian and they would extend it to Zarastrians, right? Pay Jiza. Jiza is a sum of money mentioned in chapter 9 verse 29 of the Quran that those acknowledge as people of the book. Those
Who’ve received revelation in a form of scripture from Allah, they can then pay this sum of money as a sign that Islam has subdued them, subjugated them, debaseed them so they can continue to live under Islamic rule and remain Christian or Jews or Zorastrians maintain their religious identity and if they refuse then they fight and to the victor goes the spoils. This is just a fact of how Islam spread. Islam spread militarily. Moreover, if you study this Islam, Muhammad’s own companions turns turned against each other and killed one another. People who knew Muhammad,
Eyewitnesses to Muhammad based on the Muslim sources. They ended up going to war, battling one another and killing one another such as Ali Iban Abu Talib who was the fourth caleb who was opposed by Mu Muaya ibn Abu Sufyan who challenges caliphate and he made himself a caleb and they went to war and not only that but Ali and Muhammad’s wife Aisha they went to battle the battle of the camel where Muhammad’s companions killed each other murdered each other cold blood so the very DNA of Islam The very fabric of Islam is violence. It spread violently. Muhammad’s own
Followers were violent not just to unbelievers but towards each other. Murder, killing, pillaging, and raping has always been part of Islam. This is a fact of the Muslim sources. So, if you ask me, radical Islam, well, if I’m going to be honest to the oldest sources of Islam, violence is part and parcel of Islam. But if I detach the Quran from its historical context and I separate how Islam spread, how it expanded its rule and sphere of influence and I ignore the traditions of Muhammad, be it Sunni or Shi, then I can make the Quran pretty much be a very gentle and peaceful book.
That’s good. So essentially it’s a separation of individuals from uh say like Islam trademark um that organizationally there’s really no separating the fact that this was born um and spread due to violence but that doesn’t necessarily mean that every single individual is a violent person or seeks to commit violence etc. No one last question for you before we get into our SDA exam because I think this is is really important. It’s a good it’s a good segue here. What do you think the biggest threat Islam poses for Christianity? Yeah. Because Islam boasted uh uh boasts of
Its spread and its growth um in comparison to well typically Judaism and Christianity. So what do you think the biggest threat is that Islam poses to the Christian faith? The biggest threat Islam poses is procreation. This is a fact. Statistically, this is a fact. Don’t let Muslims lie to you. The reason why Islam is spreading is not because of conversion. There are even Muslim scholars who say that there is a tsunami, an avalanche of apostasy. There are hundreds of thousands, hundreds and hundreds of thousands of Muslims who leave Islam. Many of them can’t be
Public because under Islamic rule, if you abandon Islam, you’re given three days and if you don’t turn back, you’re killed. That means you even have Muslims living in Muslim countries like Iran that are atheists, agnostic or even maybe they became Christian, but they can’t be public about it because they see Islam, they see the Muslim rulers and they hate and despise the oppression and tyranny that they’ve experienced under the hand of these Muslim clerics. Be it in Iran, be it in Afghanistan, you name it. Okay. Now that said, it’s not due to conversion. Another
Statistical fact, studies have shown that about 90% of those who convert to Islam, 90% of those who convert to Islam within 5 years leave Islam because they’re brought into Islam that they don’t know. The Muslims will give them this cozy picture of Islam, sanitize it, dup the people. But when they go deeper and study, they see how divided, how chaotic, how evil, immoral the Muslim community, the clerics, their scholars, and Muhammad was. So they leave. Not lying. This is a fact. So then why is Islam spreading? Procreation. The Muslims will outnumber the world due to
Procre procreation. Why? If we take a Muslim who’s allowed up to four wives and with each of those wives, he has four or five kids. So let’s say four times five, that’s 20 children. Not only that, even if he has one wife, the average Muslim household will have four, five, six kids. Compare that to the non-Muslim home. In fact, there was a video done years ago. So, it needs to be updated that says in America, thanks to the Hispanic and African-American community, because the Hispanic and African-American community have larger families, have children,
That the American way of life will not vanish and disappear because due to the African and the Hispanic community having large number of families, this American way of life will not dissipate and disappear anytime soon. In Europe, it’s a different story. In Europe, you see that if you go to the average non-Muslim household, let’s take Europeans, native Europeans, average household has 1.5 children. Whereas when you bring in Muslim immigrants, migrants, you have these Muslims, a man has five kids, six kids, seven kids. Now if he has other wives because
A lot of thing a lot of times what Christians don’t know what Jews don’t know what non-Muslims don’t know that Muslims in the west and Europe and America they will register one wife legally but have other wives under the radar because in Islam they can have up to four wives. So that although in America you can have only one wife you go and marry the other wives in a mosque. And I’m going to tell you a true story. I was a witness to this. So was David Wood. Years ago, years ago in Michigan, a Christian couple asked us to witness to their daughter. She was
Working for a Muslim man who was married and had kids. Sadly, he found her at a very weak moment in her life, very vulnerable. He knocked her up, got her pregnant. She had his daughter. He then married her as a second wife in the mosque under the radar. Even though he already had a wife legally, he took her as a second wife and she took shad and became a Muslim. We met her and we met him and she was okay being the second wife. But now remember what I said within five years 90% of the converts end up leaving Islam. Well, glory to the triune God. Glory to
The Father, Soly Spirit. Fast forward six, seven years later, she left Islam. She left that man. She returned to Jesus Christ. She devoted herself to Jesus Christ. She’s raising her daughter as a Christian and she found a godly man. But what’s my point? When you have Muslims coming to Europe or Australia or coming to America, they have one legal wife, but they have three, four wives under the radar. And then they built the government for welfare. So these women go and register that they’re single moms to get help from welfare. So this man is knocking up children. Within 50 years,
The Muslims are going to outnumber us due to procreation. So Christians who bought into western secular values thinking the more kids the more of a burden the more of a risk and it’s a greater risk financially so let’s have fewer kids this mentality in time your particular group and race will die out this is what’s happening so the threat of Islam is procreation man there’s just so much there that you said that is like wow I I feel like we could go the whole night on on all of that. Um, I think that’s a really important insight, too, because it’s
Like, well, I I don’t want to sidetrack on on all of that, but there’s just it’s just interesting because especially if you engage in Muslim apologetics, at least as a bystandard, I’m not in uh as much as you are. Um, but you’ll often see them bragging about how at least apologetically um that oh, Islam is just it’s catching fire. Christianity is dying and they’re actually converting people and and yada yada. What you’re saying is that it’s actually due to procreation. So, it’s being passed on genetically, not necessarily um due to the embrace of or a full orbed
Understanding of the theology and then embracing said theology. In fact, let me comment real quickly about Christianity dying. It may be dying in Europe because they’ve embraced secularism. Are you aware that Christianity is exploding in Africa and in the Middle East? Are you aware it’s exploding in Iran? This is a fact. In Iran, Iranians are converting Christianity in droves. The church is exploding. In Africa, people are coming to Christ in droves. It’s exploding. Actually, Christianity is spreading and exploding in the Middle East as well as in Africa,
Though it may be dying in the West. Isn’t that ironic? Now, let me now further clarif clarify that though. Sadly, the conversions of these groups to Christianity, they’re not all converting to trinitarianism. Many are becoming Mormons. Many are becoming oneness modalists. They’re following oneness modalism, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses. They’re making inroads and a lot of them become Seven Day Adventists 100%. So, yeah, man. to now remember you know me I don’t just say it in front of him I’ve acknowledged there are true believers born of the spirit in all the major branches of
Christianity in Protestantism that are trinitarian who worship the triune God this is not the same as them becoming Jehovah’s Witnesses or Mormons or some are actually becoming modalists that’s a different god altogether right so may God have mercy on them they don’t know any better well in light of all of that now I want to transition to look at a few things that prominent SDA leaders have said regarding Islam as well as some of their own source documentation. That was a great foundation laying to settle the the the air that this is not part of the
Christian faith. This is an entirely different thing. This is a deception. So, first I want to start with an article from ministry magazine which is an official organ of the SDA church that they send out to well clergy generally speaking but their clergy. This was written in June of 1964 by Ralph Watts who was the then vice president of the general conference. It is titled the attitude of 7th Day Adventists towards Islam. It is linked in the description box for those that would like to access it for themselves. The first quote is a little long, but I want us to read the whole
Thing to see the point that’s being made. Notice he writes, quote, “A most striking example of God’s attitude toward a heathen power is that of Nebuchadnezzar, the great king of the idolatrous Babylonian Empire. According to the Bible record, God gave him two dreams that we know of, and he therefore was in this respect the agent of God.” Nebuchadnezzar did many things for God, but often in the wrong way. In Jeremiah 25:9, the Lord refers to Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, as my servant. We conclude that to receive prophetic inspiration does not mean that the
Recipient always understands or knows God’s way. Here was a heathen king, the monarch of the world’s most powerful empire, entrusted with prophetic dreams he did not understand, classed by God as his servant, and raised up by omnipotence to punish apostate Judaism. God used an idolatrous power with a limited knowledge of truth to accomplish his desired end for that particular time. The servant of the Lord says, “In every age there is a new development of truth, a message of God to the people of that generation.” That’s Ellen White. The attitude of the omnipotent one
Toward these heathen nations strengthens the thought that there uh has been but one true religion on earth, the religion of God, to which believing men have belonged at all times and places. Each of the messengers of God who has taken part in revealing the nature of the religion of God although limited in scope and understanding has been a stone in the building of that Ephesus.
Therefore, it seems to me that as 7th day Adventists raised up by God in these la latter days as the restorers of the breach, we should regard Islam as a religion which was designed at least in its beginning to enlighten the masses and with the recognition that the Lord permitted Islam to rise with the fundamental mission to teach belief in monotheism, the judgment, acceptance of the holy prophets, and to establish some truths to nations. in the Middle East who were steeped in pagan superstition and philosophies. According to the scriptures, we also
Accept the fact that we are the spiritual descendants of Abraham and as such we hold in common with the Muslims certain principles of truth which God first revealed to him. In the same respect uh we are spiritual Israel to Jews to Catholics and to Protestants were the restorers of the apostolic faith. If we can establish this point, then it is clear that seventh day Adventists are true friends of Islam the same as friends of Jews, Protestants, and Catholics. And the Muslim can count himself a brother with us without the rejection of all his own beliefs and
Practices. Close quote. So using using the example of Nebuchadnezzar, he makes a parallel to Muhammad who he claims was raised up by God though evil to be used by God to enlighten the masses on the fundamental truths of monotheism, the judgment, acceptance of the Old Testament prophets and some other truths to nations in the Middle East. Muhammad in fact was one of the stones building the same edifice as the Christian church. That’s what the end of that first paragraph said. And since Muslims consider themselves to be descendants of Abraham like
Adventists do and hold to these supposed general truths, Adventists should be true friends of the Islamic faith and should count them as a brother or sister without them having to reject all of their own beliefs. Sam, what are your thoughts on this? Okay, I’m baffled. So she’s saying that 7th day Adventists are brothers to the Muslims. But then why is that attitude not extended to trinitarians who love and worship the triune God like Catholics and Orthodox? Even though she said to the Jews, we are spiritual Israel to the Jews and to the Orthodox
And Catholic. They are the restorer of the apostolic doctrine. But still their attitude towards Catholics and Orthodox is that it’s a false church. Right. That’s correct. So this is actually an article I said from Ralph Watts. He cited Ellen White in there for for a period of it. But this was their vice president of the general conference back in the 1960s. He’s saying the same way that they view so he is kind of putting on a a level of uh you kind of have to know the inside baseball to understand what he’s saying there because he mentions he’s like well Islam is
Basically amongst just like we view Catholics and Protestants as friends. We view Jews as friends, we should also view Muslims as friends because all of these groups, we all hold to this malaise of these sort of general truths. And so they’re getting at this idea that Muhammad, even though he was a a wicked leader, we’re going to continue his quote. By the way, his paper, it’s going to continue past this and you’ll see he’ll say Islam is an apostate religion, but and you’ll see why we’re looking at this as well. Um he’s saying that uh Islam is an apostate religion but
Muhammad was still used by God as an edifice in building the Christian church because he helped establish these general Christian truths over in the Middle East. So in that sense we should consider Muslims to be friends of the 7th Adventist church and see them as brothers because well they hold to these same general truths. And like I said he’s going to get into saying well Islam is apostate. We’re not giving the endorsement, but there’s a little footsie going on here that’s saying, well, these general truths were that’s why Muhammad was raised up is he was
Raised up by God to to res to to spread these general truths in the Middle East that are are Christian in origin. How accurate is that sort of uh history around the founding of Islam? Yeah. Even if we go with the analogy of Nebuchadnezzar, if he was going to be consistent to scripture, Daniel clearly states though Nebuchadnezzar was used by God to punish his people, Nebuchadnezzar himself was rebuked and chasened by God until he came to the realization of who the true God is. So if you actually read scripture, God is working through Daniel, Shadrach,
Meshach, Abednego to be a witness to Nebuchadnezzar and his court palace that the God of the Hebrews is the true God and that he has to come to the acknowledgment that this is the true God who has empowered him to reign. Because without this God, Nebuchadnezzar could do nothing and even struck him dumb as an animal until he came to a senses. In fact, if you don’t mind, open up Daniel chapter 4. And here you’re going to see read from 24 to 26. Just open up the entire chapter, brother. You said you had the Bible. And then you can bring it up. You
Don’t need to just have me on the screen. You can be on with me, brother. I don’t know. You want to show how handsome I am. I’m trying to get my lean face back, dude. Don’t be a hater, bro. No. But anyway, if you go to Daniel, read Daniel 4:24-26. Let’s see actually the context. What did God say he was going to do to Dan to Nebuchadnezzar until he realizes that the God of the Hebrews is a true God and acknowledges this sovereignty? He would struck him strike him down as a beast for a period of seven until he comes to the realization of who God is and God would
Restore his sanity. So, we’re going to skip the fact that Daniel’s interpreting this vision given to Nebuchadnezzar to its interpretation. Read 24 to 26. He’s a tree that’s cut down, but the stump is left intact. Why? What does that mean? This is the interpretation. Oh king, it is a decree of the most high which has come upon my lord, the king, and that you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven periods of time shall pass over you,
Till you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to the uh to whom he will. And as it was commanded to leave the stump of the roots of of the tree, your kingdom shall be confirmed for you uh for you from the time that you know that heaven rules. Therefore, chapter 24. So notice it’s saying you’re going to be struck dumb as an animal for a period of seven. But your kingdom won’t be complete take away from you during your reign. That’s why stump is left until you come to your senses. You’ll be restored. So now read 31-37:es 31- 37 same chapter Daniel 4.
While the words were still in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven. Oh king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken, the kingdom has departed from you, and you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beast of the field, and you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of of time shall pass over you until you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men, and gives it to whom he will. Immediately the word was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox and his body was wet with the dew
Of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagle’s feathers and his nails were like bird’s claws. At the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted my eyes to heaven. Catch brother before you move on guys now it’s Nebuchadnezzar who’s speaking. So his words made it into inspired scripture. Daniel’s inspired by the spirit to include Nebuchadnezzar’s confession and repentance. So no, he wasn’t used to the extent where God left him in his paganism. Though he was a pagan and God used him, the purpose in using him was twofold. One, to punish Israel for their
Sins, the Jews, but two, to then use his prophets as a witness to the Babylonians so they can come to the knowledge of the true God because God wanted them to be saved. Finish it. Look what he says. Look what he’s going to say. 24. At the end of the At the end of the days, I Nebuchadnezzar lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the most high, and praised and honored him who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted or accounted as
Nothing, and he does according to his will amongst the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?” At the same time, my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and splendor returned to me. My counselors and my lords sought me, and I was established in my kingdom, and still more greatness was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right, and his ways are just, and those who walk in pride, he is able
To humble. He converted and repented. So the analogy of Nebuchadnezzar ends up refuting them because God’s purpose in using Nebuchadnezzar was twofold. So for everyone understand why God will use pagans to punish his people twofold. One because his people are in sin rebellion and this is discipline to wake them up to repentance. But two in allowing his people to be taken into captivity. They will be the light of God to be a witness to the people that their God is true and their God is sovereign so that through that witness they will then convert.
So it’s not he’s leaving them in their paganism. He’s using his people to drive them to the recognition it is our God that raised you up. It is our God who is sovereign, not your God. It’s our God who’s allowing you to do what you do because you couldn’t do it if he didn’t want it to be done. And our God is now calling you to repentance with the hope that now they will be a light to bring them to repentance. And God didn’t just say that about Nebuchadnezzar. He said even about Cyrus whom God used to destroy the Babylonian Empire. He even calls Cyrus my Messiah.
Open up if you can Isaiah 44. We’re going to read 28 and then we’re going to go 45 all the way to seven. You’ll see it. So you said Isaiah Isaiah chapter 44 and 45. the last verse of 44 because God is announc by the way for those of you who are conservatives and take the conservative position of authorship. Isaiah wrote this when Assyria was a superpower. He’s writing in the 700s. The Assyrian kingdom wasn’t destroyed until around 612 BC by conglomeration of Babylonians meet as Parththeians. Then Babylon comes to power in 612 and then the Babylonian kingdom is destroyed
In 539 BC by Cyrus. Now Isaiah’s writing in the 700s, 200 years before Cyrus comes to power. And yet 200 years before Cyrus comes to power, God tells Isaiah, write this as a witness because the time will come where the Babylonians will take the Jews captive. Now let me give you why this is significant and how miraculous the Bible is. If you’re living at the time of Isaiah and he tells you the Babylonians are going to then take you into captive and destroy Jerusalem, you’d be scratching your head. Babylonians, they’re insignificant. It’s the Assyrians that
Are superpower. But Isaiah says, “No, God says it will be the Babylonians.” And you’ll find that starting from Isaiah 39. If you read 39 all the way to 55, that entire section is God preparing his people for the Babylonian invasion. But then God does something else. He then tells Isaiah, “Name the name of the ruler who will then set them free from Babylonian captivity.” Now remember, Cyrus destroyed the Babylonian kingdom in 539 BC. Isaiah is writing 700s, 200 years before Cyrus even came to power. But he already is mentioned by name. Look what it says in Isaiah 44:28.
Who says of Cyrus, he is my shepherd, and he shall fulfill all my purpose, saying of Jerusalem, she shall be built, and of the temple, your foundation shall be laid. This is why critical liberal scholars who don’t believe prophecy can exist say this section of Isaiah was written after the Jews returned from Babylon. Right? Why? Because what in the world is Isaiah saying that the temple will be rebuilt and the foundation laid when the temple is still standing and who is Cyrus? So over 200 years here Isaiah announces Babylonians not Assyrians will destroy
Jerusalem and temple but then Cyrus will come to destroy them and restore the temple. What are you talking about? And it happened exactly like Isaiah said as God’s divine seal for the Jews and Babylonian Zen. the Persians, the God of Israel is a true God. What do I mean? I want you to understand because I want to refute this canard, this false analogy between Muhammad and these pagans. Can you imagine the shock of the Babylonians and the shock of Cyrus seeing a scroll by the Jews where they say, “Look, you are already named in our book. Here it
Is. What do you mean? Our prophet left us a scroll and here, so you know we’re not lying. Here’s the scroll. We were told Babylonians would destroy this city, take us captive, and then God said, “You by name, Cyrus, will then set us free.” Here you are. What more proof do you want, Cyrus? Our God is true. Your gods are not. Okay. Now, open up Isaiah 45 to see this point. So, you understand it’s twofold. Let me explain what the Old Testament is showing us. It’s twofold. Why does God raise up pagans to punish his people? Twofold. Number one, because they
Deserve punishment, and God is beating them into repentance so they can fear the Lord in return. But number two, in then coming into contact with God’s covenant people, God then expects them to be a light to then preach to them why they’re in this predicament because their God is real. And now God demands that you also repent or will punish you so they can convert them, not leave them in their paganism. And how do I know? Read Isaiah 45. Continuation of the prophecy of Cyrus 45:es 1-7. Thus says the Lord to his anointed to Cyrus whose right hand I have grasped to
Sub subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings to open doors before him that gave me brother. His anointed one means Mashia, his Messiah. The word is Mashia. Correct? His Messiah. So notice Cyrus is God’s Messiah. But now look what he’s saying. And now understand the prophecy. If you’re not listening, you’re not going to get this. God is having Isaiah write this 200 years before Cyrus comes to power. So that when he comes to power, they’ll have a copy of it. Cyrus, we were expecting you. What do you mean? Our prophet told us 200 years ago, you are
The man and he named you by name. So you have no doubt our God is real. He even knew and affirmed you would come to power and he gave you your name. Wow. Really? Yeah. That’s who our God is. Now, keep reading. To open doors before him that gates may not be closed. I will go before you and level the exalted places. I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hordes and secret places that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who call you by your name for
The sake of my call you by your name. Not only do I appoint you, but I even named you beforehand so that you will come to know what? This is for God. Yeah. Can I read it again? Go ahead. For the sake of my servant Jacob and Israel, my chosen, I call you by your name. I name you though you do not know me. I am the Lord and there is no other besides me. There is no God. I equip you though you do not know me. that people may know from the rising of the sun and from the west that there is none besides me. I am the Lord and there is no other form. Before you go on for seven, there’s your
Answer. So why is God using pagans to punish his people? So that through the judgment on people, his people be a witness to convince them Yahweh is God. There is no other. He’s the only God and savior. So you need to turn to him. Yeah. Well, you don’t know. Now, when it says you don’t know me, it doesn’t mean Cyrus didn’t know about the God of the Hebrews. It means you don’t acknowledge me as the only true God. You think I’m one among many gods. But when I announce all these events beforehand, then you’ll be left with no excuse to think I’m just
One of many gods. No, I am God and your gods don’t exist and you need to turn to me, Cyrus. And from the rising of the sun, from the east and west, this will be a testimony to bring all of them to me. Why did this guy or Ellen G. White forget what the scriptures state the purpose is behind God raising up pagans to punish his people and Nebuchadnezzar giving him prophecies. The purpose of giving Nebuchadnezzar dreams was to convert him, not leave him in his paganism. How is that at all analogous with Islam? Yeah. So, and they do that a lot. They’ll like and I feel like it’s
Sometimes they get caught on a single point not seeing the bigger picture which is what creates the problems because it’s like you’re they’re trying to make it’s almost like illegitimate totality transfer. It’s where you like so because they were both wicked people and God uses wicked people. Well therefore it’s a it’s a parallel. Well I mean you could do that again. You could say that and plug in any figure from history. So to say that that’s that to try and work in that like Muhammad is like an one of the workers of the edifice of the Christian church. Well, because he holds
To this general truth of monotheism uh that there is a God. Um well, it’s these general truths that we all share. So the problem is it’s assuming Allah of the Quran is the God of the Bible. So we can delve into that unless you have someone else to read because I’ll just follow your lead. You want to read? We do. Well, we’re going to get into that. We’re g So save that because we’re gonna get there. We’re going to get to that. So let’s continue reading his article because he continues here. Again, this is Ralph Watts from Ministry Magazine 1964 June issue. It was a 12 12 a year once a
Month publication. Still is around. It’s in the description box for those who want to check this out for themselves. He continues, “Islam today is an apostate religion. Islam is void of the doctrine of salvation by faith and is basically a religion of righteousness by works. Some elements of Christianity also in practice except and practice righteousness by works. Yet we know there are un uh unnumbered multitudes in these apostate churches that God will save. His message is come out of her my people. Now, that’s a very specific uh it’s coming from Revelation 14, which
They believe is their three angels gospel message. And part of their duty is to call everyone out of the world, including Christians, to come out of Babylon, which is the world system, and come join the SDAs. They’re the ones heralding this message in Revelation 14. They’re supposed to represent the angels. And this come out of Babylon is the world system that apostate Protestants like uh our friend John Lomin apostate Protestantism likes to always tell us um all of us are a part of the world catholics orthodox protestants and adventists are this
Remnant out of the world so that’s what he is referring to here when he says this his message God’s message is come out of her my people isn’t this message also directed to the multitudes of honest hearts in the religion of Islam if we are To reach Muslims, we must be divested of our settled prejudices and preconceived erroneous concepts and take a different look at Islam as a religion. We must probe deeper into the areas of agreement in our beliefs and strive to establish more firmly the points of agreement between our religions and thus avoid making prominent the points on
Which we differ. We should stress Adventist brotherhood with Muslims by pointing out to them that we are the spiritual descendants of Abraham. We must show them that we believe all the prophets and that today we are the people who are striving to adhere to the great principles they enunciate. Furthermore, we should keep them uh we should help them understand that they can be partakers of the blessings and privileges that come through a belief in Jesus Christ as savior and lord. The same as all Christians, we must show them that they are to be equally
Benefited with us in accepting salvation in Christ. Close quote. Okay. So real quick, yeah, many Adventists have inherited this sort of thinking in the modern day and it’s because of individuals like this. While we would not consider Adventism to be Christian, he says Adventists shouldn’t focus on the differences between Christianity and Islam, but focus on the similarities and stress the brotherhood between Adventists and Muslims due to acceptance of things like I was saying, monotheism, Abraham, belief in the Old Testament prophets and that both parties
Are trying their best to adhere to the truth. So Sam, yeah, say whatever you need to say, but I also have the question of as someone who has engaged in Islamic apologetics for more than two decades. Is this the mindset that Christians should have regarding Islam? And what problems do you see with what he said? Yeah, I want to address uh quickly this two col because you have a demon here. You have someone a son of Satan saying that second Vatican says the same thing about Muslims so I should remove the beams from my eyes. This is nothing but called too coke quy. Let’s say you’re
Right about the Vatican. How does that justify 7-day Adventist? But you would be a special kind of stupid Rigvon because you wouldn’t know logic if it slapped you across the jaw like the Shia did. But stop barking. It’s not about you. Return to your vomit. Sorry, brother, but these demons can’t control themselves. I already did a session on what second Vatican Vatican 2 said about the Muslim God. And I did a session on what the catechism says about Allah. But if you were not foaming at the mouth, you would know that. But it’s okay. May God have mercy on your pathetic
Soul. Sorry, brother. I just had to address that. Now, coming back to the issue, if you can put up the quote, put up the quote so I can work with apologize for that because the demons can’t control themselves. They manifest. So, I’m sorry. You’re good. You’re good. Now, if you can put up the quote, you’ll see. Okay. Now, I want you to watch this, guys. Notice the contradiction in terms because I want you to catch the contradiction. He says we must probe deeper into the areas of agreement and our beliefs start to establish more firmly the points of agreement between
Between our religions and thus avoid making prominent the points on which we differ. But then at the end notice the contradiction. Furthermore, we should help them understand that they can be partakers of the blessings and privileges that come through a belief in Jesus Christ as savior and lord. That is a major contradiction with Muslims. How are you going to avoid if I follow what he’s saying? He says we should focus on the agreements where we agree right and not focus on the differences. How can that be possible if you then say you want to invite them to be partakers of
This blessing privileges that comes through faith in Jesus Christ as savior and lord when to them to say Jesus is lord and savior is the unforgivable sin. So how are you going to be consistent in applying this advice? I’m scratching my head. How is that possible? Can you help me understand the logic here? I don’t I don’t think uh that was really employed with what’s going on here because again their ultimate goal is always the focus of growing Adventism. So what can we do to uh grow Adventism? They’re part of this call to all the world that we need to take this three
Angels gospel to them and there’s lots of Muslims that could be saved too. So let’s figure out the best apologetic route to go. That’s probably the uh the the depth of of that. It’s taking this sort of well, you’re going to see actually in this next article um we’re going to look at from another individual um same publication, Ministry Magazine. Um but you’re going to see uh maybe get some of your answers. I know it’s a different individual, but you’ll probably get some of your answers from that as well. Even before you gone, let me know when I when I can appeal to
Jesus Christ to show you that Jesus when dealing with Jews did not find points of similarity and commonality, but clearly stated they don’t know God and that their father is the devil. So, if you want me to do it now or you want me to wait for the other quote because I don’t know. No, let’s do that now. Let’s let’s do that now because we’re getting ready next week to do a biblical uh uh Well, what what do you want me to bring up first? Yes. I want you guys to see number one, this approach that they’re adopting is not the approach of Christ or his
Followers. Okay? I want you to pay attention. Rick Vaughn is manifesting. He’s upset. He doesn’t know the Shia who father. It’s okay, Rick. We’ll pray for you. It’s okay. Hopefully, you’ll know what fruits are. Now, coming back to the rest of you who are not being demonized to distract so we can focus for the glory of the Lord and respect this brother’s channel. Notice their approach. Let’s find commonality, points of commonality and not focus on the differences. Well, our Lord Jesus who set the example for us to emulate speaking to fellow Jews, Jews,
Same ethnicity worshiping the same God did not deemphasize the differences but was bold and straight up in saying they don’t know God. They don’t belong to God. They’re not sons of Abraham. They’re sons of Satan. Jesus. Okay. Now, here, open up John 8. And I want you to read where we were going. Yep. John 8. Just the entire chapter so you can go through it. Yep. And I want you to read 37 to 42 for starters. 37 to 42. Okay. 37 to 42. It says,”I know that you are the offspring of Abraham, yet you seek to kill me because my words find no place in you. I speak
Of what I have seen with my father, and you do what you have heard from your father.” They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would be doing the works that Abraham did. But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.” Let’s park it right there. Park it right there. Let’s break it down. He’s saying, “You may be physical descendants of Abraham, but you’re not his spiritual children.” Now, ironic, the Adventists want to say to Muslims, we are the
Spiritual descendants of Abraham. Implication: Muslims are either the spiritual and/or physical descendants of Abraham. Let’s assume they’re right. Yeah. Because you’re honor, you see what they’re saying? Yeah. We are spiritual descendants of Abraham. In other words, this is one of the selling points to Muslims. See, like you, we belong to Abraham. We belong to Abraham spiritually. So does that mean they think that Muslims are all physical descendants of Abraham or spiritual descendants of Abraham or Muhammad was a physical descendant of Abraham? So those
Who follow him become spiritual descendants Abraham. They don’t clarify that because there is no historical evidence, none whatsoever that Muhammad was a physical descend Abraham. That’s a lie from the pit of hell. But let’s put that aside. Here Jesus is talking to physical descendants Abraham and says that doesn’t matter. What really matters is that you’re spiritual offspring of Abraham because if you’re spiritual offspring Abraham, you’ll act like him. But you have no connection to him. Why? Because you seek to kill me, a man who’s told you the truth that he served from
God. Abraham did not try to do this. Now, I’ve done sessions on this. Those of you who’ve been on my channel know the implication here by our Lord is when Abraham saw Jesus his reaction was different. He’s saying look you see me a man that told you the truth that he served from God and you want to kill me. Abraham didn’t do that. Abraham didn’t do what? Abraham didn’t try to kill me when he saw me. And he confirms that later on in the narrative. So number one it’s not enough that you are physical descendants Abraham. You must have the faith of Abraham and act like Abraham. Which
Leads to the second point. According to Jesus, Abraham was a Christian. Abraham trusted in Christ. Abraham loved Christ. Abraham rejoiced in Christ. Which Christ? Not the Muslim Isa, who’s a prophet, but the divine unique son of God who comes to save the world. I’ll get into that. But now look what he says to these Jews. Now remember, they’re Jews. They have the same covenant. If there’s any if there’s anyone you’re going to find commonality with, it’s the Jews. Now, after he says 40, now read 41:42. You were doing the works your father did. They said to him, “We were not born
Of sexual immorality. We have one father, even God.” Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me. For I came from God, and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. You are of your father, the devil. Now, you jump to 40. You jump. I’m sorry. Sorry. It’s all right. Hear it. Now, understand what our Lord said. You cannot love God and know God if you don’t love Jesus and honor him as a son. So, how are you going to tell me that somehow there’s some affinity with
Muslims when part of the religion is to condemn those who say that Isa is a son of Allah to hell? In chapter 9:30, we’re told the Jews say is a son of Allah. Who the hell is to this day? Muslims will say it’s Ezra. No one knows because historically you cannot find any Jewish group that said Ezra is God’s son in the way that Christians view Jesus being the son of God. But in chapter 9 verse three we’re told the Jews says is the son of Allah and the Christians actually says Nasara Nazarene say the Messiah son of Allah and this is a saying from their
Mouths and they imitate the disbelievers of old how perverted they are. May Allah fight them. So if you say Asa is the son of Allah, the God of the Quran will fight you and he’ll fight you by the hands of the Muslims until you become Muslim or are humiliated to pay Jiza. Jesus says, “Well, if you don’t honor me as the son of God, then you don’t know God. You don’t belong to God and God doesn’t know you. In fact, your real father is not God.” Who’s your father? Now read 44 all the way to 48. Brother, let me do 43 because I ended up skipping a line there. Why do you not understand
What I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. You are of your father, the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks about his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I tell you the truth, you do not believe me. Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.
And what did they say to him in response in 48? Keep reading. The Jews answered him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?” Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my father and you dishonor me.” Now, pause there. Okay. Now, did you catch what he said to Jews? He goes, “You belong to Satan. You don’t belong to God. God is not your father. Satan’s your father and you’re adopting his characteristics. He’s a liar and a murderer. And you’re liars and murderers. You’re a liar and that you say you know God. You’re a liar. You
Don’t know God. And you’re a murderer because you’re trying to kill me. So that shows you don’t know God. Have no connection with God. And God is not your father. But he is my father. But you dishonor me. Yet my father seeks to glorify me. So understand what we’re getting at. If this is how Jesus approached Jews, and then I got to make a further qualification. Jews who had the Old Testament, guys, understand the implication. They had the Old Testament. They had the Hebrew scriptures. They acknowledge Yahweh, if you want to pronounce it, Yahweh,
However you want to pronounce it. I’m not going to get into that. They acknowledge Abraham, Isaac, Jacob. They didn’t believe the Old Testament’s corrupt. Muslims say, “Your scriptures are corrupt. They’re not preserved.” These are Jews who say, “The Old Testament perfectly preserved. The God of the Old Testament, Yahweh, is our God. Abraham’s our father.” And Jesus could still say to them, “You don’t know this God, though you read the Old Testament.” Wait, but we have the Old Testament. Yeah, it doesn’t matter. You still don’t know God. You don’t belong
To God. Because if you belong to God and you know God, then you would love me because you know who I am, his son. And he seeks to glorify me. But as it is, you show you are sons of the devil. Satan’s your father. And they react, well, no, you’re demonpossessed. You’re a Samaritan, which was an insult. If this is how Jesus is going to talk about Jews who held to the same scriptures he held to, what do you think our Lord would say to any Muslim who would say the scriptures are corrupt and that he’s not the son of God because God has no son and that’s
Blasphemy. What do you think Jesus would say to them? Or what do you think Jesus would say to 7-day Adventists who have the New Testament and the Old Testament, but they have a different gospel, a different view of God and Jesus and the spirit. Do you think he would say, “Well, let’s focus on the commonalities, the points of similarity, because after all, we you have the entire cannon of scripture. The Jews only had the Old Testament.” Or would he treat them the way he treated fellow Jews who had the same Bible? He had acknowledge the same God he did and also claim the same
Ancestor. Look how he treated them. But now let’s continue reading. If we’re not in a rush, can we finish reading? Absolutely. Because I want you to catch what he’s going to say. If you keep reading from 50 to 54, start at 49, but read focus on 50 and 54. Look what he’s going to say. Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my father and you dishonor me. Yet I do not seek my own glory. There is one who seeks it and he is the judge. Hammer that. Here’s earthshattering statement what Jesus said. I’m not seeking to glorify me. Someone seeks to glorify me. There
Is someone else who wants me to be glorified and seeks my glorification and he’s going to judge you if you don’t see what Jesus said in John 8:15. Yeah. Yeah. He’s saying, “Look, I’m not here to glorify myself. There’s someone who’s seeking my glorification, who seeks me to be glorified, seeks to glorify me, and he’s going to judge you if you don’t glorify me. And he’s going to tell you who that is. Keep reading. All the way 54. Well, real quick, it’s just interesting saying like what you’re saying here, there’s so many things in my mind that I’m like, whoa. Because Well, I don’t
Want to get us sidetracked. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Sorry. I’m here. Sidrack. Go ahead. Well, it’s just some of the stuff you’re saying there. I’m like, man, it it’s so easy to read over this, but this is taking my mind to other places in scripture that’s like, whoa, there’s a a consistency here. It’s kind of like a light bulb sort of thing that’s like, whoa, this makes sense with what’s saying over here. I don’t want to get us away from where we’re at, though. The Jews said to him, now we know that you have a demon or sorry, sorry, sorry, I skipped a
Verse. Yet, I do not seek my own glory. There is one who seeks it, and he is the judge. Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death. The Jews said to him,”ow we know that you have a demon. Abraham died as did the prophets. Yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death. Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died?” And the prophets uh and the prophets died, who do you make yourself out to be? Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my father who glorifies me, of whom you say, he is our
God.” right there. You see, no mere creature can talk this way. He says in John 8:50, “I don’t seek to glorify myself. There’s someone else who seeks me to be glorified, who seeks my glorification, will judge you if you don’t glorify me.” You know who that is? My father whom you say, now notice, he didn’t say, “My father who’s your God.” Catch the words, “May the Holy Spirit give us illumination to go deep in the word.” Notice what Jesus said. He didn’t say, “My father is the one who glorifies me and demands that I be glorified.” Who’s your God? No. Whom you say is your
God? See, you claim he’s your God. But I’m here to show you you’re a liar. You don’t know God. Cuz now notice 55. But you have uh not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him and I keep his word. Okay. Now, if Jesus is talking to Jews, you know, the Old Testament, he says, “You don’t know God. You don’t belong to God. He’s not your God. You belong to Satan.” And yet they read the same Old Testament. What do you think he’s going to say to the Muslims who defy scriptures, oppose scriptures,
And will then end up persecuting and killing those who say Jesus, son of God? What do you think his message is to them? Yeah. Not good. You understand guys? These are Jews. They have the right scriptures. The Muslims have a different book altogether, a Quran. And they say our Bible’s corrupt. And yet to the Jews who have the same scriptures, who call on the same God, he says, “You don’t know God. He’s not really your God. You don’t belong to him.” This is why the Christians who bend over backwards for let’s say Zionism, you guys really don’t know the Bible because you keep thinking
Ethnically they’re Jews. Somehow that means they belong to God. How come how planer can Jesus be? Anyone who doesn’t come to me, acknowledge me. Anyone who denies me, be he Jew or Greek, doesn’t know God, has nothing to do with God. Now, I’m going to qualify this in a minute, but I want him now to finish. Because remember what he said in John 8:40 before we jump to 56 one more time. Read John 8:40 to see what was the proof that these Jews did not belong to Abraham. Because to be a true son of Abraham, like the SDA say, spiritual children Abraham, you got to have the
Faith of Abraham and act like Abraham. But they were not acting like Abraham. Because in John 8:40, what does he say to them? But now you seek to kill me. A man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. Meaning Ah. Ah. Oh, you got it now. Yeah. Oh, I thought I didn’t I thought you already got it. I’m sorry. Okay. You know what his point is now? Okay. Now the light switch. Ah, man. Well, right. Because now my mind is back on Islam and I’m like, okay. So, there’s so many things here. Obviously, when they say the book of
John is corrupt, they obviously have to argue that tooth and nail. But continue. Continue. But you got it. He’s just showing here. If you’re Abraham’s children, you behave like him. Believe like him. But you’re trying to kill me. Abraham did not try to kill me. Well, that means Abraham and Jesus saw each other. And when Abraham saw Jesus, his reaction is different. That’s exactly what he says in 56. This is why I said read 40 again and go back to 56. Now, watch how Abraham reacted when he saw Jesus. And you’re going to read 56 to 59. Your father Abraham rejoiced that he
Would see my day. He saw it and was glad. You see the difference? Yeah. You see me, you want to kill me. Abraham saw me. Saw me. What did he say? Go. Yes. So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet 50 years old. And have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” So they picked up stones to throw at him. that Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple. Man, I I obviously know that paricopy just because of the I am statement and a lot of the stuff around that. But what you were saying earlier as well
Demonstrates no they’re not descendants of Abraham. Exactly. So this claim that he’s making that like well we have this commonality. Yeah. They they believe that. They believe that but they’re not just the Muslims believe it. Correct. Yeah. Right. But they’re not. So, it’s a it’s a false parallel there. I hadn’t caught that connection point between verse uh 40 and and later on 54 one step further, but we’re going to have to clarify and qualify because you cannot broadbrush all Jews, all Christians, all Muslims. And I’ll get there, but I just want to address the
Issue with the 7-day advent. They think they’re being biblical. They’re not. They’re going against scripture. They’re going against Jesus. But put that aside. Now you see why Jesus said,”Abraham did not try to do this because he saw me.” His reaction was different. He was elated and happy when he saw me. And they’re wondering, “Well, how’s that possible? You’re not even 50 years old. Abraham’s been dead for 2,000 years.” And his message is, “No, no, no. Don’t let my physical appearance mislead you. I’m more than a man. Yes, physically as a man, I may not be 50, but let me tell
You old I am. Even before Abraham came into being, I already was there. I was there before he came into being. I was there when he came to being and I continued to be because I’m unlike him. I have no beginning. He did. That’s when they freaked out. Oh, so you’re claiming to be the God that saw Abraham and Abraham saw him. Yeah. But to tell you, I mean, the New Testament is politically incorrect. You can sanitize the New Testament to try to appease people. Are you going to let God be God and every man a liar? like Romans 3:3-4 says because let me show you now the attitude
Of John the Apostle. Revelation from Jesus. Jesus speaking to John. What does Jesus say about the Jews who reject the church, persecute the church because they hate Jesus? Go to Revelation 3, brother, if you can. And I want you to read seven tonight. Okay? To the church in Philadelphia. This is supposed to be according to Ellen White, by the way, uh William Miller. They were the church of Phil they were the church of Philadelphia. Um and then the the little flock ended up uh becoming the the church of Leadyia. So they’re in the Leadyian age. William Miller was the Philadelphiaian
Age, the ear of brotherly love. But anyways, I digress. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write the words of the Holy One, the true one who has the key of David, who opens that no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie. Behold, I will make them come and bow down before
Your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.” Now, notice what Jesus said. Now, that was over verse 9. He says, “These Jews think they’re Jews. They’re not. They’re liars. and their synagogue is not inhabited by God but belongs to Satan. That’s Jesus the Jew saying these Jews their synagogue belongs to Satan. God is not worshiped there. God is not in their synagogue. Says right there, “And I’m going to make them bow to your feet so that they can know that I love you, the church. I love the church. I love my church. And anyone who persecutes my
Church, be he Jew, be he Greek, hates me, and I am their enemy. So, how much clearer could Jesus be that these Christians who were persecuted by Jews in Philadelphia? He’s telling them they’re not really Jews. They’re liars. And their synagogue belongs to Satan, not to God. How much clearer could Jesus be? Though the Jews have the same scriptures, they’re not worshiping the same God. Which Jews? those who reject him willfully, which is why I need to make a qualification. But before I even make that qualification, it’s not the only Jews in Philadelphia. Read
Revelation 2 8-9. Mhm. You guys all following right? You listening? Exactly. K Louis talking to Singers. Revelation 289. Watch the other to the church in Smyrna. Yep. Listen. Yeah. And to the angel of the church in Smyrna, right? The words of the first and the last who died and came to life. I know your tribulation and your poverty, but you are rich. And the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Wow. They’re what? Synagogue of Satan. And they’re not really Jews. Two different geographical locations. Smyrna
And Philadelphia. And what do they have in common? The Jews in these places who hate Jesus, oppose Jesus in the church. They are not really Jews and their synagogues belong to Satan. God is not worshiped there. For those of you that might just be joining us, you might wonder how we ended up getting on to the current topic that we are on. And it is perfectly in line with tonight’s topic. We are addressing an article that was posted from Ministry magazine, but we are also addressing um Sam’s uh harsh rebuke of an individual in the comments from earlier and demonstrating that uh the
Scripture is not always uh roses, rainbows, and daisies and kid glove type stuff. There are times where uh the bare knuckle sort of comes out and so he is demonstrating from uh scripture in various places that this is the case. I’m with Islam because now let me ask you this question. If Jesus says this about Jews who have the same Old Testament and know the God of Abraham and know his covenant name, what do you think he would say about mosques which are called massagid in Arabic where they read a Quran that curses Jews and Christians and say that those
Christians who reject Muhammad are worse than any animal or creature in the planet means we’re worse than dogs and rats and say Allah fights those who say Messiah is the son of Allah that chapter 98:6 and chapter 9:3 the Quran and their clerics salivate at the day where Christians will be subjugated and piza what do you think Jesus will say about those places do you think he’s going to say oh yeah yeah yeah there’s a lot of commonality because they acknowledge me and my mother and God is that you think what J’s gonna say moreover no what do you think Jesus would say about
Those Christians because now it’s the pagan month of Ramadan where the pagan montheists are worshiping their pagan moon god. Yes, I can prove that easily. But coming back to the issue, what do you think Jesus would think of those Christians who then go to honor the Muslims when they break their fast every nightar go and celebrate with them when this is a pagan fast for a false god. This was my point of mentioning John that you see Jesus is telling Jews who at least have the same scriptures. They have the Old Testament. They’re worshiping the God of the Old Testament.
He says, “No, you can have the same Bible and still not know the true God.” And that’s where you find sevenday Adventists and Jehovah’s Witnesses, right? All the they all go to the same manuscript and translate from the same manuscripts. And yet to translate verses where you rob Jesus of his glory means you’re aware this verse is saying something about Jesus. So you have to mistransate it in English. Which now brings me to the qualification. I need to make this clarification. I’m not saying all Muslims. I’m not saying all Jews. I’m not saying all 7day
Adventists. You have to distinguish between those who know the scholars, the theologians from the common person. Yep. The average Muslim has no knowledge of the Bible, no knowledge of Christianity, no knowledge of what Christians believe about the Trinity, no knowledge of even the Quran. You cannot put them in the same group. Those people are different. So if someone tells me, “Do Muslims worship the true God?” I would say, “What do you mean? Do you mean a Muslim who studies the Quran and knows the Quran and knows what the Quran says about Allah and believes this is
God?” Well, that Muslim is worshiping a false god. The Muslims who just are cultural Muslims. Are they worshiping a false god? Well, they are worshiping God in ignorance. They don’t know who the true God is. Those are the individuals that God will have mercy on and bring them the light of revelation. And where am I getting this from? I’m getting it from Paul Mars Hill. So everything I’m telling you, I’m showing you from scripture. There’s a difference between, we’re going to look at that to back up my claim so people don’t think I’m just making it up. There’s a difference
Between someone who knows the Quran, knows what the Quran says about Allah, knows what the Quran says about Christians, knows what Muhammad said about Christians and Jews, and knows what Christians believe. Like Shabir Ali or Atovia Singer among the Jews, they study our scriptures. They study our theology, our theologians, and they still oppose and hate our God and us. They are without excuse. But the average Muslim or the average Jew, I’m going to show you God’s attitude towards them. Now, I’m gonna give you a scripture so you don’t think I’m making it up. Go to Acts 17,
Brother, and you can read 16 and 32. I know it’s lengthy, but we got to read through it and slowly if you can. Acts 17. 17. 16 and 22. Just read that section slowly and then we’ll pick it up from 23. Now, where am I getting that? God looks at your circumstances if you’re ignorant. And if you’re ignorant, he is patient with you, has mercy on you until he brings you revelation. This is Paul in Athens. Now, while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he as he saw that the city was full of idols. So, he reasoned in the synagogue with
The Jews and the devout persons and in the marketplace every day with those who happened to be there. Some of the epicurans and the stoic philosophers also conversed with him and some said what does this babbler wish to say? Others said he seems to be a preacher of foreign divinities because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. FYI, brother, this shows that he’s preaching that Jesus is God. Did you catch it? If he was preaching Jesus is human, why are they saying he’s preaching for divinities? Mhm. So that means he’s presenting Jesus as what?
Divine. There you go. You caught it, right? Yeah. There you go. So there you go. Good catch. And they took him and brought him to the Aropagus, saying, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? For you bring some strange things to our ears. We wish to know, therefore, what these things mean.” Now all the Athenians and the foreigners who live there would spread their or would spend their time in nothing except telling or hearing something new. You want me to continue at the Aropagus? Yeah. So Paul, yeah. So Paul standing in the midst of the
Aropagus said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious.” Now watch. Now notice here is the commonality. Here’s where you build on commonality. See, this is the proper use. Now, I’m showing you biblically the proper way of seeking commonality, not the SDA way. Number one, if there’s a people steeped in ignorance because they don’t know the true God and his revelation, then you don’t come and demonize them and bash them and say you worship Satan. No, you then try to reach them and find common truths and build on them to bring them
Revelation. But it’s after they’re given their revelation. If they resist, then it’s different. You understand the difference now, guys? So now look what he’s going to say to them. You’re very religious. Now they may take that positively, but Paul does not mean it positively because you’re steeped in idolatry. So religion smacks of idolatry, but nonetheless, I see that this shows you have a desire to worship. What is Paul saying? Let’s break it down. The fact that you have idols and the fact that you worship gods and goddesses say show that you have a
Desire to worship. You have a desire to submit to God. You have a desire to want to follow God. You’re not atheists. Now, I’m going to show you that desire is there because the true God put it in your heart to desire to be religious and worshiped. But not these gods and goddesses, but him. And I’m here to make him known. You see what he’s doing? This is how you find common ground to people who don’t know Christianity. Then look what he does. For as I passed along and observe the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription to the
Unknown God. What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God before you go on because you’re reading fast, brother. Catch it. Now he’s showing. See, you’re even aware that there may be a God out there that you need to appease. He is there and he sent me. He’s seen your cries because you’re acknowledging there’s some God out there. He’s out there. We don’t know who he is, but we’re going to acknowledge him. So, he’s not angry with us. Well, he sent me cuz he saw that you’re aware of his existence. Now, I’m going to tell you who he is. See what
He’s doing? Yep. But they’re ignorant, right? It’s not they know Christianity. And let’s find commonality. So if I meet a Muslim and I share with him the truth and refute his arguments and he still persists in his attack and disbelief, he’s now an enemy. He’s not a brother in humanity nor a friend. Right. You’re because the reason you’re bringing this up just to kind of remind people why we’re we’re on this sort of path. um you’re trying to show that this sort of idea of oh well we need to take this approach where you know focus on these vague general truths and let them
Know you know you don’t have to sacrifice you know all of what you believe you know I don’t want to be prejudice you know this isn’t really the approach that Paul took with pagans because that’s what Muslims are they’re they’re pagans they have a false god um I would say it’s a like a a cult a Christian cult honestly stealing a bunch of Christian theology and a desert cult and so Um he did Paul didn’t take that approach. No. For as he’s going to then tell them now that this true God has made himself known, he wants you to know he doesn’t need your idols anymore.
He never needed them. He doesn’t need you to serve him by statues. You see, he now preaches to them repentance. Look, now he’s made himself known. He’s letting you know he doesn’t like this stuff. He doesn’t need this stuff. He just wants you to acknowledge him and submit to him. And so you better repent because up to this point he ignored such ignorance. Ignorance because here he’s going to say it. Keep reading. Yeah. For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription to the unknown God. What therefore you
Worship as unknown. This I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man. Nor is he served by human hands as though he needed anything since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. Do you see how he just told them your idolatry reeks? He doesn’t need it. You understand how he did it, right? 100%. This God that you realize was there, but you didn’t know his exact identity. I’m letting you know he doesn’t need your temples and your idols and sacrifices.
He’s the one who’s giving you life and breath and sustenance. He doesn’t need this. He doesn’t want this. You see what he’s doing? Brilliant. Because he’s inspired by the spirit. Now, keep reading. 26 times. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods in the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet, he is actually not far from each one of us. Pause before you go on, brother. I I have to pause you at key points. Look what he’s
Saying. God placed you exactly where you’re at for one purpose and one purpose alone. Not to get rich or educated or to live hedonistically. He placed you where you’re at so that you would be aware of his existence and cry out to him because he wants you to know him. The fact you have an altered unknown god means he got your attention. And then he quotes two pagan poets who are speaking about Zeus. But he says what you said is not about Zeus. It’s about this unknown god because Zeus is not the real god. Because if you look at the context of these citations amended
And I believe is Aratus, they’re talking about Zeus being the father of mankind and we are all his offspring. But Paul took what the pagan poets said and Christianized it. He goes, “Even your poets said we’re all as offspring because in him we live and move and have our being.” Both of them are citations and your Bible even tell you where from. But he’s saying the only difference is this is not true of Zeus. This is about this unknown god. You are his offspring. You live in him and move in him and have your being in him because he sustains you. So it’s not
Zeus. This is the God who’s your father who made you. This is the God that you need to submit to. And so God saw that you’re aware he’s there. I’m here now to make him known. You see what he just did? Yep. Now read 29 and see what he says there. For in him we live and move and have our being. And even some of our own poets have said, “For we are indeed his offspring. Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone in image formed by the art and imagination of man. He destroyed their idolatry. He’s saying
He doesn’t need you to make images of beings that you think are gods and goddesses and then serve them and sacrifice to them. He’s unlike anything you can imagine. He just wants you to come to him on on his own terms. Now watch the difference of how to approach people of other faiths. Look what he says here. 30 all the way to 32. Watch, guys. Listen. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent because he’s fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed. And of this, he has given
Assurance to all by raising him from the dead. Now, when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, but others said, “We will hear you again about this.” So Paul went out from their midst. But some men joined him and believed among whom also were Dianis. And Dionis is the name of a pagan god by the way. The Ario aropagite. Yeah. The Aropagite Damas and others with him. Anyway, now you caught it, right? Did you see what he did? He then said, “This God who now has made him his existence known to you. He was patient with you guys. I need you
To listen. You’re letting the people distract you.” He said, “This God was patient with you because you were aware he was there, but you didn’t know his exact identity. So, you waited patiently and he tolerated your idolatry until he gave you this revelation. Now that you know the revelation, now I’m letting you know, put this aside because there’s a day in which he’s going to judge the world justly and he’s going to judge them determined on the revelation they took in and accepted or rejected.” and the proof that he’s going to judge the world. He raised a man, this man named
Jesus, and he’s going to send him as a man to judge you. Okay, this is the approach to those who’ve never heard the gospel, those of other faith traditions. You see the points in which you can build on. But once they’re given the revelation, now they’re no longer ignorant. They’re without excuse. Right? Now that they’re without excuse, that means their attitude towards Christians will determine whether you continue to treat them as people who need the gospel and need to be loved or as enemies to be avoided. Read Paul. When Jews rioted, he said, “I wiped the
Dust off my feet and I’m going to go to the Gentiles. Forget you.” This is the proper way of evangelizing, not the way the SDA are telling you. And the other point to learn, notice that when people are ignorant, they don’t know the true God is. God is patient and shows mercy. But once you know, now God will deal with you strictly. So how does it apply to Muslims? Most Muslims don’t even know Islam, let alone Christianity. And I can give you testimonies. When I told Muslims this is what their sources teach, they go, “You’re lying. That can’t be there.” One story real quickly
Because I don’t want to belver the point. I know a guy that I said, “Hey, man. Are you okay with your prophet marrying a nine-year-old?” He goes, “You’re lying, dude. That’s impossible. My prophet didn’t do that.” So, I took him to the Muslim bookstore. This was in the 90s. I opened up the van Bukar. He read. He goes, “My goodness, it’s there. I can’t believe it.” So, you cannot broadbrush Muslims. You cannot assume. They all know. So, then who’s culpable? You know who? Shabir Ali. You know who? Muhammad Hijab. You know who? Ali, Da, Oman, Ib Faruk,
Daniel Hak, they are culpable. They are without excuse because they interact with Christians, hear the arguments and still blasphe our Lord and assault Christians and pervert the scriptures. Toia singer, but not every Muslim. So, keep that in mind. So, I hope that clarified it. I don’t know. I don’t want I know I want that. No, you’re good. And like I said, I think that was good. But I know we got a little bit, you know, kind of off of the agenda there, but it was like perfectly in line with what we were discussing. And I think that’s important, too,
Because like I said, next week we’re getting ready to do some discussion around the uh the biblical case for countercult apologetics. We get comments, you know, that guy triggered you. Um that is what kind of initially set that off. We get people like that constantly. your character. You’re this and this kind of gets into at least from the SDA perspective, Sam. It comes into uh you have to get into all the temperance doctrines. Adventism has a whole part of their fundamental beliefs, but they have a whole set of teachings around Christian behavior and
Temperance. Yeah. And it’s this very caricatured sort of rendition of a, you know, this the the real weak kind of beggar Jesus who he never raised his voice. He’s a pushover. But really, it’s only used one direction. They’ll get real loud like this when they want to. Well, for example, this past week, we had an SDA scholar comment on one of our videos, and this is his first introduction to me. I know who he is, but I’ve never talked to him before. This was his first introduction to me. He gives a backhanded uh compliment where he basically says, “This this is
Probably your your worst clip yet.” Um, and wrote a a decent length comment about, you know, that. And so when I came back to him with a bit of a assertive response due to him kicking the door in and not just coming in, you know, non-chalantly. Um it immediately pivoted to, well, that’s not uh he he used the the phrase professional. He said I wasn’t being very professional. But SDAs will typically say some sort of thing around, you know, you’re not being very Christlike and I don’t see the the fruits of the spirit in you. And so they’re always on a sort of um
Inspection hunt, if you will. Yeah. Let me give you a couple of verses. I I can do an entire session and I’m not saying I don’t sin when I anger. I would be a liar because I’m not perfect. But this excuse that you can’t be direct and insulting. Read your Bible carefully, folks. But I’m just going to give you I’m going to give you two examples. I can make it more explicit or the language is more explicit, but just for the sake of time and brevity, I want you to show me how Paul reacted to someone who is hearing the gospel but opposing it and contradicting it. Was he
Patient with him? Go to Acts 13 6-12. Let’s see. Acts 13. Remember I maybe I don’t know the Bible as well as they do. Let’s see. Because they’re saying be patient with someone who opposes you, right? And contradicts you. Like when you’re having Well, no. Be okay. Let’s see. Paul. Paul. I mean, if you’re going to tell me that Paul wasn’t spiritfilled, then there’s no hope for us. It says he was fil
When they had gone through the whole island as far as pathos. They came upon a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar Jesus. He was prophet. Right. Correct. He was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence who summoned Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. But Ilamus the magician, for that is the meaning of his name, opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsel away from the faith. But but Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all
Righteousness, full of all deceit and villain, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?” Son of the devil, dude. And he’s filled with the Holy Spirit. Wait, wait. He’s filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is telling him, “Call him son of the demon of all righteousness.” And then he curses him with blindness. Keep reading. And well, and God even saw to have that inscripturated. You’re right. And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time. Immediately mist and darkness fell upon
Him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand. Then the proconsul believed when they uh when he saw what he what what had occurred for he was astonished at the teaching of the Lord. No, he didn’t believe in the preaching. He believed when Paul rebuked them, called him a son of devil, and then struck him with blindness. So notice, right, convert them with the preaching. He converted them by rebuking him severely, harshly. And it says he was filled with the Holy Spirit when he did it. You son of the devil, you a curse, you enemy of
All that is good. How long will you seek to hinder the ways of the Lord by cursing him, insulting him, and then praying blindness on him? That’s what led them to convert. Well, not just that, but there there it is that Paul’s not following the Adventist uh temperance doctrines there. But how does that work, brother? I thought it said, “Be patient, brother. Be gentle.” Okay, let me give you one more from our Lord because you’re going to see a group of people got offended. They say, “Teacher, when you say this, you offend us. We’re getting offended,
Lord, when you talk like this.” Read Luke 11:37:46. And then if there’s any other points you want me to cover, we can. Or I don’t know if we covered most of it. I don’t know. No, we’re going to play three clips after this. They’re pretty They’re pretty short, but we have to listen to those. We have to listen to those. We have to. We have to. I think I’ve laid the foundation now, and we can speed it up a little more for the rest of it. I know you guys are singing along, but I think all this time I’ve laid a foundation. So, you got it now. Now, we can probably go smooth
Sailing with the other three clips. Let’s see. Woe to the Pharisees and lawyers. While Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him. So, he went in and reclined at table. The Pharisee was astonished to see that he did not first wash before dinner. And the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees, cleanse the outside of the cup and the and of the dish.” Dude, why is Jesus overreacting? The man said nothing. He just was astonished that Jesus didn’t wash his hands before dinner because that was the tradition of the elders. Yeah, the elders.
Oh, and Jesus reacts out of nowhere. He now starts attacking them because the man is astonished. He didn’t wash his hands. Whoa, whoa. Where is the patience? Okay, keep reading. Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you’re full of greed and wickedness. You fool. He goes to on the attack. Just because the man was astonished, he didn’t wash his hands. You kidding me? Okay, go ahead. I won’t stop you now. You fools. Did not he who made the outside make the inside? Fools. My goodness. Even call them fools. You stupid idiot. Fools. But go
Ahead. Yeah, I’m sorry. But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you. But woe to you Pharisees, for you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought have done without neglecting the others. Woe to you Pharisees, for you love the best seat in the synagogue and greetings in the marketplaces. Woe to you, for you are like unmarked graves, and people walk over them without knowing it. One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying these things, you insult us also.”
Before you go on, here it is saying, “Lord, you offended us. When you say this, you insult us also.” In other words, they’re expecting Jesus to be apologetic. Right? Now, read 45. Sympathetic. They’re sympathetic. Right? But read 45 again and just see how Jesus reacts in 46. We’ll stop at 46, but read 45 again. One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying these things, you insult us also.” And he said, “Woe to you lawyers also, for you load people with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.”
Oh, so he wasn’t sympathetic. Oh no, guys. I was just, you know, he went after them, too. But wait, what did they do to provoke him? One just said, one just was astonished. They didn’t wash his hands. And the other’s like, “Well, you’re hurting our feelings.” And Jesus reacts this way. Isn’t that an overreaction? Well, that’s what these evangelic fishes would say. No, brother. This is not biblical Christianity. Let’s put them aside. Let’s go to the clips. Perfect. Thank you for that because I think that that was, like I said, even though it was kind of uh impromptu, I
Think that that was extremely beneficial. With that said, if we have time, which we’re at about two hours, so we can either stick with the clips. We had one more article and it was only two slides, but he basically covers um a lot of the stuff that the previous guy was saying. He says a couple of other things. I mainly just wanted to have a couple sources on that because um he actually says something and I do want to look at this really quick because there’s something about Islam that I want to ask you about and this actually is important. So, if you don’t mind, let’s
Look at this real quick and then we will play the clips. The clips are very short. I just I want you to hear how this this goes from Ministry magazine in official Oregon because this this organization is very topheavy. There’s a very large hierarchy. It starts up here and then trickles its way down. So we’re essentially working our way down to a degree um that sort of hierarchy. But notice here, this is from um a professor by the name of Robert Mcyver. He is a professor at Aenddale College in Australia, which is an SDA univer uh yeah university.
This is his article from 2001. It’s in the description box for those that’d like to check it out. Titled Relating to Muslims in Adventist View. Okay. You reading or we lost you? Oh, I’m sorry. We thought we lost you. Go ahead. No, you’re good. Recent studies of Adventist Muslim relations have led to the development of a new paradigm or approach to the effort to reach Muslim people ways seventh adventists have used as they have related to the Muslim world. The traditional evangelistic method and what I would describe as faith development in context.
The traditional approach to evangelism may present the truth as it is in Jesus. It may proclaim doctrines in proper perspective, but it carries some baggage that gets in the way of effectively relating to Muslims. First, traditional approaches begin with the object uh the objective of adding to our group. Too much effort is placed on the agenda of numbers rather than showing true love and understanding of the needs of people. Second, while not intentionally stating it, the Muslim is considered a heathen target. While a target is necessary and appropriate in project
Planning, the word carries connotations that are contrary to the spirit of ministry and faith development and are particularly offensive if one is considered a number to reach rather than a person to whom we relate and whom we love. Just as offensive is the word heathen, which is a hangover from the time of the crusades. This is a word that should not be used at all in our proclamation. Our philosophy, our mission would do well to eliminate such descriptives as target, penetrate, evangelistic thrust, spearhead sermons, and crusade. These carry significantly
Negative connotations. So hold up here. to reach Muslims. He states like Ralph Watts did that one needs to take an approach that shies away from any sort of negative connotation such as referring to Muslims as heathens because it has negative connotations. Now, it’s interesting that Mr. Macyver specifically used the word heathen here and degraded that because notice what his prophetist said about Christians in the 19th century. Mhm. Quote, this is from manuscript releases volume 17. Beautiful. The greatest prejudice of the Jewish nation of priests and rulers was stirred
Up against Christ because the people preferred to listen to Jesus rather than to them. The very same feelings of prejudice will be manifest in the priests and rulers of this time. We can do nothing that would close up the way before us in this country by taking a position of superiority and putting before the people that we consider them heathen. In truth, they’re worse than heathen. But this we’re not to tell them. The clergy consider themselves as teachers, highly religious, and their churches send out missionaries to the work of converting the savages. but to have the implication
That a similar work must be done for them, they would consider the worst kind of insult. Close quote. So this was her correspondence with an Adventist missionary in England when they had virtually zero presence there. He was writing to her asking how they can make inroads to begin proatizing Christians. Utilizing one of her favorite analogies, she says that just like the Jews of Jesus’s day, the same feeling of prejudice will be manifested in the clergy of their day in the 19th century. Since this is the case, they were not to do anything. And this is her advice.
Don’t do anything that would close up the way before you to try and evangelize the the the the Christians, specifically the clergy, such as taking a position of superiority by letting them know that Adventists consider them heathen. In fact, they’re worse than heathen. But this we’re not to tell them. Since they consider themselves highly learned teachers that send out their own missionaries, they would take great offense if this Adventist missionary came and told them, “They’re no better than the ones they’re sending missionaries out to evangelize.
You a similar work needs done for you, and I’m here as the Adventist to do that for you.” So, how ironic that he talks of not utilizing the term heathen to refer to Muslims when his prophetus, who he believes was divinely inspired, utilized that term for Christians. Yeah. So saying what is the Islamic doctrine of takia? Yeah. And does what Ellen does does what Ellen said here sound like an avenous form of takia? Yes. Now understand what he’s referring to here. Ellen saying that the clergy her clergy need to conceal their true sentiments and statements concerning
Those outside Adventism. Hide it from them. Don’t tell them. This is no different than what is taught in chapter 3 28 of the Quran and the exposition of it. If you guys were to look at chapter 3 verse 28 of the Quran, in fact, I don’t know if we can screen share if I send you a link. Could you do that or no? Just curious. Yes, I can. Yeah, I can. All right, let me see if I can find this because then I uh give you an example. So, cron, let me get you a browser. See if it’s going to work. Usually, it works. It doesn’t. Okay, right here. It works right here. Private chat. You’re
Going to right here. Open it up because then I’m gonna get you another link. Okay. Because I’m gonna get you I kir what he says about it so people can see with their own eyes so they think we’re No, we’re not making it up. That link is that link is broken. Oh, so for you it’s broken. Yep. Okay. That sucks. Okay. See, that’s what I thought. So, let me see if I can give you another All right. Try it again. Uh, here’s this one. Try. If not, then it sucks. I’ll just post it in the private chat. Then you can share it. No, it’s broken. Okay, here here let me
Just do this. I’m going to give it to him in private chat so he can then share it on the screen. Chapter 3 vers 28. Then I’m going to give him what Iben Kafir says. For those of you know what is concealment. Islam teaches that when the Muslims are living as a minority or when the Muslims are outnumbered by the kufur and disbelievers and they fear for their safety, they can conceal and hide their true feelings and agenda. This is in Islam. This is taught in Islam. Chapter 3. I I can’t share that either. You can’t copy and paste and share it. Uh oh. In the You just want to share it
With the the audience. I Then then you can put it in on the screenards if I mean I don’t know how do you do it but see there you go here let not the believers take the disbelievers oah meaning helpers instead of the believers and whoever does that will never be helped by Allah in any way except if you indeed fear and that last part if you do fear a danger from them and Allah warns you against himself his punishment to Allah is the final return now if you don’t understand what you just read you are not to take unbelievers as believers, as your friends, as your
Comrades. Unless you fear from them, unless you fear from them, what does that mean? If you feel that if the unbelievers know about your agenda, your intention, and that will bring you harm, then you can pretend to love them and be kind to them and befriend them until the tables are turned and the Muslims are uttermost. And I’m going to give you a commentary by Ca to confirm this. But you don’t even need the commentary. Look around you. You want to see it played out. I need you to focus. Everyone focus, please. You know, I want you to see this played out in front of your
Eyes. When Muslims are the minority, they will talk about peace and love and unity and let’s come together for a common cause and you know, we have similar family values and religious values. Okay. When the Muslims become large enough, then they impose their agenda and demand that you acquies and capitulate to their demands or they’ll wreck havoc and hell in your cities. You see that in England, you see that in Sweden. You see that in Germany, in Switzerland. Aren’t they not doing that? When a large number of them amass then they demand you capitulate
Acquest to their demands or they will turn against you and cause violence and wreck havoc. There are pockets in the in UK and England you can’t even enter. The Muslims have taken over. Yep. Like Dearborn Michigan. You’re seeing this played out in front of your eyes. Now let me get a commentary on chapter 3 verse 28. Okay. Let me get it for him. I’m gonna get him the link. Just hold on, my friend. Shalom, my friend. Shalom. If I see they change the links on me and oh my goodness, I should beat them up. All right, one second. Let me get you the link on Quran. El Quran Elimuran
With crispy cream. That’s not funny, Sam. All right, let’s see. Was this Tier? Who? Iben Cathir. All right, Iben Cathir. Iben Cir. I’m in love with you. Give me a second, guys, because I want you to see with your own eyes. What day is it? All right, Iben Cathir. Come on, Iben Cathir, dude. We want I cathir. They They changed the format and made it even harder. Okay, right here. 3:28. I want to get you now the verse, my friend. What day is it? Here you go, friend. You can now screen share my friend right here. Private chat. Okay. And watch here so you can see it.
Loading. So you see like Oh yeah, it is. Wow. What is it? It’s uh Yeah, it’s like full on. You You’re kidding. Yep. If you share on the screen, I’m gonna tell you what to do. If you have a Mac, you’re going to do command F. But we don’t see you. Only see me. my handsome face. Yeah, I I got you. Okay, watch here, guys. Okay, now you’re going to do command N if you have a Mac. I don’t know if you do. You have a Mac? I do. Yep. You command F. The search engine opens. Put in TQ. Tu right there. Let’s read this paragraph. Okay, here it is. Now, he can share the
Link to Iben Kir for you, but now we’re going to read it. Unless you indeed fear a danger from them. Meaning accept those believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers. In this case, such believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly. So you can pretend to like them and befriend them. Look, this is a Muslim source kir explaining 328 but never inwardly but in your heart you cannot love them unless they become Muslim. For instance, El Bkari recorded that Abu Darda, companion of Muhammad,
Said, “We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.” Did you catch that? Muhammad’s companion says, “We will smile in the face of people while we curse them in our hearts, hiding from them our true intention.” Now watch. Okay. Al Bkari said that al Hassan right said the that’s the word concealment hiding is allowed for Muslims until the day of resurrection there you go there you go right there so Islam teaches it and Muhammad is told we are told in a hadith in Bkari this is Bkari Muslim war is deceit war is deceit meaning you’re at warfare so at war You
Can use deceit, trickery, connivory. Then how can you trust the Muslims? Because you don’t know which Muslim is pulling a fast one. But at the same time, you don’t want to be paranoid and demonize all of them. So, but they make it hard. They make it hard, don’t they? Yeah. And it’s it’s probably a lot more well-known amongst uh you know, Muslims than this statement from Ellen White. Um but there it is. There it is, folks. um that they’ll talk about we need to be buddy buddy up with with Muslims to to be able to try and reach them like that. But then in their literature it’s just
Full of preaching damnation on trinitarians and they’re apostates and their prayers are an abomination. They’re the just crazy like all this stuff against trinitarians and then it’s like but we need to try and reach those people but don’t tell them that we actually think they’re worse than heathen. We do and there’s still vestigages of that today. It’s like that’s still what the MO is today. which is why they hate what answering Adventism is because they hate the fact that I’m pointing this out and saying you guys conceal this stuff until like,
You know, day five of your 7-day seminar where after you’ve gotten through the projection of like beasts on the ceiling and bears with wolf heads and and all these crazy symbols and whatnot, you’re essentially saying now you need to come join us or uh the wrath of God’s going to be poured out on you because uh he’s angry with you and and you’re a part of that apostate Protestantism. But don’t use the word heathen to refer to Muslims. Yeah, it’s gonna it’s gonna close up the way before. Go ahead. To show you how Paul described the Gentiles who are steeped in their
Paganism, watch how he describes them in scripture, inspired by by the Holy Spirit. Go to Ephesians 4:17-2. Look how he describes the life of the Gentiles. And he’s inspired by the spirit to write this. Ephesians 4:17-25. Look how he describes that. All right. Ephesians 4:17-2, the new life. Now this I say and testify in the Lord that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do in the futility of their minds. Oh, so he says their their minds are foolish. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that’s
In them due to their hardness of heart. They’ve become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. What now? Before you move on, how would you think the Gentiles feel to be described that this way by Paul? Uh, that’s not very PC, Paul. It’s not politically correct, but Paul doesn’t care, right? No. Notice they’re Holy Spirit doesn’t care either, apparently. Exactly. Because the Holy Spirit is inspiring him. These are not just the words of Paul. Notice they are foolish in their thinking. They’re fools. Darken
In their understanding. They don’t even have the life of God in them. They’ve cut themselves off from it. They’re ignorant. Their hearts are hard. They’re callous, immoral, greedy, impure. It’s right there. But anyway, you can finish it. They become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality. Greedy to practice every kind of impurity. But that is not the way you learned Christ, assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus. to put off your old self which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires
And to be renewed in the spirit of your minds and to put on the new self created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. There you go. That’s it. So there you go. So the Bible again, it’s not written the way some of these people would have you believe, you know, right? It should have been written straight up, upfront, immoral, greedy, callous, impure. That’s why we need to call them to repentance. And they didn’t hide it. They were not cowards. They were men. They were bold. That’s why Paul at times caused riots, got beat up,
And thrown out of places and in prison. He didn’t preach the way people preach it. Neither did Peter, James, or John. But anyway, with that said, you said he had three clips. Yeah. Well, this just this last statement, then we’ll transition right to those. He that same guy, Mr. Macyvery. He ends his article by saying this. The early church of the New Testament faced a choice to remain only as a Jewish sect or to become a wider movement. So notice you’re going to you’re going to notice a parallel to what Ellen White did in that same quote. You’re going to see this parallel of
Adventists are like um the Jews or the Christians are like the Jews and they’re Jesus. And they love these sorts of analogies or at least the SDA pioneers did and it kind of makes itself seen in some of their scholars here. So notice this. He’s making a parallel here. The early church of the New Testament faced a choice to remain only as a Jewish sect or to become a wider movement encompassing a diversity of expression among all people. Seventh Day Adventists face a similar challenge today. To consider ourselves only a Protestant denomination, which they’re not,
Truncates our worldwide Advent movement role. Such a view of ourselves may work well enough in a culture which is steeped in Christian influence, but it’s not helpful as we face the major world religions and particularly as we address the 1040 window. Historically, Islam has had no quarrel with those people of the book who held on to a true faith. In fact, some Islamic scholars refer to such Christian people as khanif. Those who along with faithful Muslims were defenders of a pure monotheistic faith from Abraham. Thus, our appeal to faith development with
Muslims today should recapture an emphasis on our role as God’s last day people, calling persons from all persuasions to join with us around the central truths that make us unique, yet allowing for a breath of diversity in how those truths are manifested in the specific cultural context of the world. Close quote. So according to him, Islam historically had no quarrels with Christians who were seen as people who held to the true faith by Muslims. And since that’s the case, he says Adventists should emphasize their role as God’s remnant end times people. I
Thought we weren’t supposed to focus on the differences, but focus on the general truths they both share and allow for diversity within the movement, giving the tacit endorsement to Islam because, well, they hold to some general Christian truths. Again, this type of thinking has influenced the minds of countless SDAs who were not only deceived by Adventism, but then are being further deceived regarding Islam. How accurate is that portrayal of their view of the people of the book? And then we’ll get into uh the clips. Do not tune out, folks. You’re
Going to want to hear these clips. Very sloppy scholarship because notice number one, first mistake. He said Islam has no quarrel with those people of the book. Has he even read the Quran? If you read chapter five, for example, I’m sorry. Yeah. Chapter five, you can read from 72 to 75. Those who say that Allah is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, or that say Allah is the 33 and include Jesus and Mary in their worship, which shows that Muhammad did not understand the trinity, they are disbelievers. That’s that’s number one. Number two, in chapter nine of the
Quran, if you read from verses 28 all the way to 33, there Muhammad exhorts Muslims to carry out military expeditions against the idolattors, the Jews and Christians, because of the perversity of their beliefs. For example, Jews say Usuza is a son of Allah. Christians say that Messiah is the son of Allah and they’ve taken their monks and and rabbis as lords in the place of Allah and Messiah son of Mary. I don’t know what Quran he’s reading or chapter 98 verse 6 of the Quran. In chapter 986 we’re told that the idoltors and the people of the book those among
Them who are unbelievers the unbelievers among the people of the book they are the worst of all creatures. You’re the worst. In other words, if I’m a Christian, I don’t believe in Muhammad. reject Muhammad. I’m worse than a dog. I’m worse than a rat. I’m worse than a cockroach. I’m worse than garbage. I’m worse than Satan. I don’t know what Quran this guy is reading. But beyond that, he even makes a mistake about the term. The term or that was not limited to the Christians. Says again shows his ignorance. According to the Muslim sources, prior to Muhammad and during the time Muhammad
Before he became a so-called prophet, there are a group of Arab pagans supposedly because we don’t know how reliable the sources are, but for argument sake that realize worshiping idolatry, worshiping gods and goddesses, idols was wrong. And so they sought sought to worship God free of idolatry. Now among them there were those that became Christian but not all of them became Christian like Zed Iban Amed. All they did was swore that they would not worship gods and goddesses and sacrifice to them but only worship Allah. So not all of them who are called the Hanife or
Hanf the way of the Hanibs were Christians was a Christian but Zedb was not. So this is wrong. This is factually incorrect and misleading. So, I don’t know if that helped, but there you go. Well, it did. And I when I first saw this, I’m thinking to myself, dude, I’m not an Islamic scholar by any means, and there are far more knowledgeable people out there. And even I understand that this is not an accurate representation. But see, this gives off this image. And I can’t tell you how many SDAs I’ve talked to who they have this sort of idea of like, oh, well, uh, well, what
We’re about to hear, they have the same view as what we’re about to watch now. So, we’re going to look at some clips here. First one is from a guy by the name of John Carter, the Carter Report. One of these celebrity SDA types out in California as a TV broadcasting program, etc. Listen closely and then I’ll have a question for you. Here is a question from Peter to the Report website. Here it is. I ask a question. Allah and Yahweh have different characters. Why have some Christians stated that Allah and Yahweh are the same deity? Allah didn’t send his son to die for
Humanity on a cross. It is true Peter that in the Muslim religion Allah did not send his son to die for the world on the cross. They do not believe in the blood atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ. But I want to say this to you. Allar is the name of God in the Arabic Bible. He is the selfexisting creator God. the God of the universe. We should never ever ever as Christians say a derogatory word against the Quran, their holy book. It’s not our holy book, but we should respect it. And we should respect Allah, who indeed is the great God of the universe.
We call him Yahweh or Jehovah, and they call him Allah. We need to show him respect. He is the God of love and mercy. Now, many Muslims do show love and mercy. For centuries, Muslims were the protectors of the Christians and the Jews in the Middle East. Did you know that there are some wonderful Muslim people? And sometimes we only hear the bad news about the Muslims, about this terrorist here. Oh, this terrorist there. But for every terrorist, there are a thousand wonderful Muslim people. I was over in a Muslim country a number of years ago, and I better not tell you
What country it was. And this pastor who belonged to that country, he was a native of that country, his house was blown up by terrorists because he was a Christian. That was dreadful. His wife was actually killed. He was terribly hurt. And when he woke up in the hospital, there was a man standing by his bed. That man was the king of that Muslim country. He said, “I’ve come in the name of Allah to say how sorry I am. I’m so sorry that you were attacked because you were a Christian.” And that king paid for that man’s full recovery. He rebuilt his
House. He could not restore that man’s wife because that man’s wife had been killed by the terrorist, but he did everything he could to make restoration. And he was a Muslim. And he was a man of full of love and full of compassion. I just want to say today, Muslims should stop attacking Christians and Christians ought to stop attacking Muslims. And I’m talking about verbally. We ought to realize that we are the children of the one great God who loves us. You had to torture me to listen to all that. Okay. Well, okay. You want me to comment? Do you ready or I can’t hear you? You’re
Muted. Wow. Sorry about that. Yeah. Sam, thoughts on that because like I said, this is what ends up trickling down to the pews. That’s right. and the individual SDA is listening to this guy who’s more than likely been influenced by these sort of things said in this paper um or those papers etc. What are your thoughts on what he said there? So this is what I was saying earlier. You take truth some truth enough truth but then you mix it in and garble it in with so much lies and misinformation that you deceive people. He said a lot of true things. Not every Muslim is a
Terrorist. Absolutely. May I never demonize all Muslims because then I’d be a deceiver and a liar. There are many hospitable wonderful Muslims. Absolutely. That is absolutely true. But we need to now distinguish Muslims from the religion and their sources. And he kept saying Allahar. Allar I don’t know who Allar was. Is it maybe one of his relatives? Allar. But anyway coming back to the issue. So, see that’s true what he said, but he’s conflating too many issues. He’s conflating the fact there are wonderful, decent human beings among all cultures,
Ethnic groups, and religions. That’s a tr that’s the truth. And there are jerks, low lives, terrorists among all ethnic groups, cultures, religions, Jews, Christians, Muslims, you name it. Hindus. So, let’s put that aside. We’re not going to dispute that. And may we never dispute that. May we be honest to the facts. But when he says that Allar is in the Arabic Bible, let me now distinguish again. See, this is where I need to be careful. I need to be as honest as I can and not just say things off the cuff and not just say things that reflect my point of view,
But be sensitive to this question because it’s not as simple. What do I mean? There are Christians among us and they are Christians. They’re not false Christians. There are Christians who actually think Allah is the same God because Allah is an Arabic term for God. So when Muslims speak of Allah, Jews speak of Allah, Christians speak of Allah, they have the same God. And you’ll find Christians who are Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox who believe this. Don’t believe me? If you ever go to Palestine, which you can’t now, if you ask the Palestinian Orthodox,
Palestinian Catholic, maybe even a prot Palestinian Protestant, is Allah the same God that you worship, they’ll say yes. We just understand him differently. So, it is a phenomenon among Christian groups where they do believe that Jews, Christians, Muslims all worship the same God, but they have different understanding. So, I got to be honest and I got to be careful and I got to be fair. There are Christians and there are Christians who love the Lord that think this. Are you with me there? Because I want to make sure you’re understanding this before I go on. That’s one view. So,
They’ll tell you yes, when Muslims call on Allah, they have the true God in mind, but they don’t know God fully and completely. So they have God in mind but they don’t know him fully and completely. That’s where we need to come in. Just like the Jews. The Jews have the true God in mind but they don’t know him fully completely. So we need to come in and then share with them the fullness of the revelation of who that God is. Okay, that’s one view. But then you have the extreme view. There’s that extreme view that says no Allar is a pagan god. All is a moon god. Allar is a
False god and you can’t call our god Allar. Okay, that is a view. There are people hold that. I think the one who holds that is Christian Prince if I’m not misrepresenting him. But there’s a middle view. The middle view says this. Okay. Allah of the Quran is not the true God of the Bible revealed in Jesus Christ. So let me clarify though the Arabic Bible uses the term Allah. If you read the Arabic Bible, Allah is actually used in the Arabic Bible for the Father, for the Son, for the Holy Spirit. In the Arabic Bible, Jesus is called Allah. John 1:1. In the beginning was the word.
The word was with Allah. The word was Allah. So Jesus is Allah and God the Father is Allah. Hebrews 18. There it says, “But of the sun,” he says, “sour your throne, Ya Allah.” The Arabic Bible has the father calling Jesus Ya Allah. And I did an article on this showing. So if I go with the All of the Arabic Bible, well, the Allah of the Arabic Bible is father, son, holy spirit. But All of the Quran is not the father, not the son, not the spirit. Because Allah has no sons and Jesus isn’t a son. Asa is not a son. So the view that I believe and I hold to it doesn’t mean
I’m right is that the term Allah can be used for the true God even though the all of the Quran is not the true God. Let me give you an example in English. We sit in a room full of people who are all theists. Buddhists, Hindus, modalists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jews, Muslims, Christians, and I say, “Praise God.” I got to bring my cat in anyway. Praise God. I don’t know of anyone who would who wouldn’t say amen. They’d all say, “Amen.” But now, if I say, “Praise God, who’s the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit.” Praise the Father, Holy Spirit, the one true God.
The only ones who’ amen me are Trinitarian Christians. So you understand my point. Just like the term God, Allah can be used for a variety of gods, but it doesn’t mean you have the same God in mind. It doesn’t mean you have the same God in mind. That’s my view. All of the Quran is not the true God. However, I have no problem using the term Allah for the God of the Bible. And I’m going to give you an example from scripture. If you do not know the historical cultural context of the old and new testaments, you may not know this. Okay? In the time of Christ and the
Apostles, the Greeks call Zeus theos pateros oate, the god, the father, the very words used for the father of Jesus. So a Greek speaking Christian would say oate the god the father but a pagan would call Zeus theos o they’re both using the term theos god and they’re both using the term pater but they’re referring to two different gods is not the father of Jesus and yet in Greek they’re using the same terms see this is the idea even in the old testament Even in the Old Testament, in the Old Testament, one of the names of God is Il Eel L. The Canaanites.
And we found archaeological discoveries showing us what the Canaanites believed during the time of the patriarchs and Moses. The Canaanites believed in a high god named Il Eel who had a body who had a huge male member who was quite sexually active who had consorts he’d have sex with and he had 70 sons and one of his sons was Baal. So when the Israelites called on eel, they were not calling on the eel of the Canaanites, but they both use the same term. So what’s my point? If you’re listening, that shows you just because several groups use the same term doesn’t
Mean they have the same God in mind. You have to ask them define who that God is. So this is my position. Can we use Allah to refer to the Bible for speaking Arabic? Yes. As long as we qualify it. This Allah is the father, son, and holy spirit. Jesus is Allah became flesh. The Muslims say, “No way, Jose.” Well, thank you for proving my Allah is not your Allah. Now with that said, let me take it a step further. How many Christians, how many Jews, how many Muslims even know with any great depth and clarity what their tradition, what their scriptures say about God? If
I were to survey a group of Christians about father, son, holy spirit, how many of them do you think would even know the trinity and would understand the relationship between father, son, and holy spirit? How many of them would end up saying Jesus is a creature or end up having Jesus being the father because they don’t know any better? Likewise with Muslims, how many Muslims do you think know? How many honestly how many think Muslims do you think know that when Christians say they worship the Trinity, they mean father, son, holy spirit? Not many do. And how many Muslims even
Know what the Quran says about their God. So if you’re dealing with the masses of people are ignorant, they don’t know the differences. So, a Muslim may be calling on Allah, but he doesn’t even have the All of the Quran in view, let alone the God of the Bible because he doesn’t know the Quran that well to know who Allah is. Likewise, when Christians call on God, they may not even being, you know, they may not even be calling on the God of the Bible because they don’t even know what the God of the Bible’s like. So, they imagine a God they think is the God of the Bible and
They call on him. See, it’s not a simple yes and no answer. So if I go back to those who do know, Shir Ali knows, Tovia Singer knows, Ali Dawa knows, Muhammad Hijab knows, right? All of these people in debates and apologetics, theologians, they know what they believe about their God and what Christians believe about the Trinity. Those individuals you can say do not worship your God and we don’t worship their God. But for the average Muslim and the average Christian who don’t know a lick about the Bible or the Quran and even Muslims may be calling on Allah but
They don’t even know who Allah is. So they’re calling on someone they think is Allah but they’re not even calling on the Allah of the Quran. You got to meet people where they’re at. So to make this response very simple, if you’re talking about theologians, scholars, apologists who’ve studied the issues, then we can say Shabir Ali’s God is not my God. The God of the Quran is not the God of the Bible. But do Muslims even know the difference between the God of the Bible and the God of the Quran? No. Do Christians even know who the God of the Bible is to know that he’s
Different from the God of the Quran? Many don’t. No. But for those who know Shabir, your God is a false god. All of the Quran is not the true God. The true Allah, the true God is the God of the Bible whose father, son, and spirit. But then we can even extend it among Christians. Let’s put Muslims aside. Jehovah’s Witnesses read the Bible. Mormons read the Bible. Unitarians read the Bible. Malists read the Bible. Trinitarians read the Bible. We all read the same Bible. Do we all have the same God? You get my point? You understand my point? So we’re
Talking about Allah of the Quran and the God of the Bible. But hold on. You got modalists who think Jesus is a human nature manifestation of the father. Then you got unarians who think that Jesus is just a man. And then you got Aryans who think Jesus is the first create creature of God the father. And then you got among them who say who say the holy spirit is a force not a person or a creature himself. And you got trinitarians. We all read the same Bible. Do we have the same God? You see the point? It is not easy to answer directly. But this guy with
Allah, well, this guy, his answer is superficial and he needs to go deeper. He has some truth in what he says, but it’s mixed up with so much error and so many logical fallacies. That’s my answer. If you don’t like it, that’s okay. That’s just my answer, brother. Excellent perspective, and I agree. I think it’s just one of like you said, it’s one of these things to like be speaking so you should never say anything wrong about the Quran. You know, these sorts of things when you’re when you’re having a level of, you know, influence on other people. It’s too vague of an
Answer to to allow some person to go away thinking like, oh yeah, they’re basically Christians. When it’s like, well, no, and I don’t think from the SDA perspective, I don’t want Muslims to become Adventists. I want them to become Christians. And so, um, but I get in in their minds, you know, they’re gonna, you know, oh, well, they’re basically an Adventist. And it’s like, well, no, they’re they’re they’re not. But good uh balanced answer there. Another clip. This is from Dwight Nelson. He’s a celebrity type SDA pastor. He’s the pastor at Pioneer
Memorial Church, which is at the Andrews University, one of their flagship uh locations in uh Michigan. It is the campus university church there. Notice now what he says. It is going to leave you Sam. Did he say that? Is he gonna be speaking LR again? No. No. No. But he’s he Well, here you go. LR. If you want to know the truth about Islam, don’t go to Rome. Go to Bethlehem instead. I recently listened to a series of CDs, lectures given by the late Dr. Robert Darnell, a member of our community of faith, an expert in Islamic studies, an anthropologist,
In which he carefully chronicled how in fact the Quran teaches the seeds of every divine truth that you and I embrace. The seeds are all there. It was uh Darnell’s lifelong miss mission and conviction to cultivate those seeds in dialogue with the children of the east. And in an hour of history when the west is turning against those children, ought we not to be the first to raise up our voices in their behalf. Think
Why shouldn’t we? For what if, and by the way, the story of Christmas would hardly let us do otherwise, would it? What if the spirit, the mighty spirit of Allah, by the way, I got some letters from viewers after that last teaching, and one viewer said, “Don’t you know that that the name Allah is a name for Lucifer?” Oh, I hope you never I hope you never never never never embrace that Allah. Listen carefully now. Allah is closer to Elohim, the Hebrew name for God, than is our English word God. In fact, hold on to your seats. The English name god is a
Nordic pagan god. We’ve taken a pagan god’s name and we said, “That’s the name of our god.” And we all call him God. That’s a pagan. It’s a Nordic pagan myth. So, don’t you ever get pushed into the corner where you’re saying Allah is a demonic name. Allah is the name of the living God. Allah is the creator of the universe. Allah is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ishmael, Jethro, Job, and even Balum. What? Bro, what are you talking about, man? Hey, V, you’re muted again. All right, demolish this again. All right, so Sam, Allah is essentially the
Christian God. According to Mr. Nelson. Islam has all the seeds of the Christian faith. Allah is the creator of the universe and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And he loves Allah. How accurate is what he just said? Yeah. Now, since this man is supposedly conversant because he studied, then he must be speaking from the context of having analyzed the Quran, see what it says. Okay. Now, let me apply his logic to what he said. Allah is closer to the Hebrew name for God, Elohim, than it is for our English word God. Because our English word God actually comes from a
Term that was used for a pagan god. Okay. Now, let me show you the fool foolishness of that argument. Remember what I said earlier. Just because we use the same term doesn’t mean we have the same god in mind. Now, I’m going to extend his argument to the term eel. I keep saying eel so you don’t think I’m saying the letter. It’s E L L. The Canaanites called their chief guide. Israel called their chief god Il. And since the Israelites and the Canaanites lived together and mixed, therefore, don’t you dare say that the eel worshiped by the Canaanites is Lucifer,
That the eel worshiped by the Canaanites is a false god because it’s the same god eel worshiped by the Israelites. See how stupid that argument is? You can use the same term without having the same god in mind. Now, let’s go back to Greek again. Let’s use a Greek argument. You got a pagan standing next to you and he says,
Says, “Ooser, the God and father, they worship the same God. They worship the same God.” But hold on. If I ask the pagan, “Who’s the God the father to you?” God and father. Oh, Zeus, a Christian, who’s the God and father to you? The father of Jesus. Is he Zeus? No. No, you can’t say that. You’re both using the word theos and it’s the same words. Therefore, it’s got to be the same god. You see how silly this argument is? It’s a stupid argument. Once again, the all of the Quran is not the God of the Bible anymore than the God of Mormonism, the father acknowledged by Mormons, is
The father of Jesus Christ. any more than the Jehovah’s Witnesses Jesus was the Archangel Michael is the true Jesus that we follow. You can use the same terms and yet not have the same being in mind even though you may think you do. That’s what I just said earlier. So again, this is a bad argument, but we want to be clear. If you’re going to talk to the average Christian and the average Muslim and you ask them about the differences between God of the Quran, God of the Bible, I’ll be shocked if they’re able to articulate those differences. Now, let’s take it out of the context of the
West in the West because Westerners are not familiar with the term Allah, Elohim, or Theos. to them it’s quite easy to demonize Muslims and say Allah is Lucifer because they speak English. Let me put you in the Middle East. Let me put you in Iraq. Let me put you in Africa and Egypt. And then I bring in Christians of various stripes and Muslims of various stripes and I say, “Who’s Allah?” They’ll say, “The true God of Abraham. Do you both acknowledge the same God?” They’ll say yes. Now they’re wrong because it’s not the same God. But now you understand the difference because
They speak the same language and they use the term the same term from God. They’re more prone in agreeing they have one and the same God but he’s understood differently. In the west, however, because they use the term Allah and Westerners are not famili. But what if I were to take Jews and I take Christians and we put them in the same room and say, “Do you worship the same God?” Yes. But wait, how do you worship the same God? If you’re talking to an Orthodox Jew, his God is not father, son, and spirit. And they say, “We Christians are idolattors because we
Worship three gods.” You see my point? It’s more complex than what this guy is saying. And they say the spirit of Allah. What spirit of Allah? What are you talking about? According to the Muslims, the spirit of Allah is Jibl Gabriel. So, are you saying that you agree with the Muslims, the Sunnis that say that the spirit of Allah is angel Gabriel? Get off the crack pipe, son. Go ahead. I hope that answered the question. You did. Um, I was just curious, like I said, to uh to hear your thoughts because again, it’s another one of these, you know, sort of celebrity type
Figures in Adventism that’s pumping this out. I don’t know if his maybe his position has changed on that. I’m not sure. But final one here, Sam. Now, I’ll preface this one. While this is going to be uh while what we just heard is going on in one lane of the SDA church, if we take a uh hairpin turn to the right and we exit off at a tinfoil hat lane, you also have the likes of people like Walter Ve, known SDA conspiracy theorist and newspaper headline evangelist. I want us to listen to a couple of claims that he makes and hear your assessment of how accurate it
Is. Yeah. Notice first notice what he says and thinks is the source behind the creation of Islam. So now this is an interesting story of a man who claims to have been a Jesuit. His name is Alberto Rivera and he claimed that Cardinal the Jesuit general personally instructed him on the origin of Islam. According to Rivera, now the Roman Catholic Church started Islam on purpose to take the Arabs under their control and to secure Jerusalem. Fascinating. This is of course highly ridiculed in the literature. Nothing like that ever happened. But uh let me digress and speculate a
Little bit. Who was first? Catholicism or Islam? Catholicism was first. And Catholicism had a major problem. You see, the Bzantine church initially was on the side of Rome. No problem. In fact, the Bzantine emperor elevated the Roman pontiff to his level of corrector of heresies of the entire world. So yes, the Bzantine church and Rome were initially one. Only after about a thousand years did a split come between the Orthodox and the Catholic Church when the Orthodox patriarch refused to accept and acknowledge the supremacy of the bishop of Rome. Then war broke out
Between these two groups and has been waging since after the Russian Revolution. Now the Orthodox Church is saying I’m sorry. I’m sorry. So that’s been resolved. But in the first few hundred years of Catholicism’s rule, what was the main problem of Catholicism? Who was the problem? The true Christians. The true Christians. Because Christianity had spread in the Middle East. Wouldn’t it be nice if these supposed Christians of Rome could use an organization to eradicate Christianity and replace it with another form of their religion? Front organizations.
They’re very good at it. You know, the Jesuits created who? Freemasonry to do the work. If some then they ban Freemasonry and if something happens, they say, “Oh, it wasn’t us who was Freemasons. Isn’t that right?” Or they blame the Jews. No, it’s not us who rule the world. It’s the Jews, it’s them, it’s Zionism. But in actual fact, it’s Catholicism. Now, if the occult world wanted to gain control and the occult world controlled Rome, why not control all occultism? Wouldn’t that be interesting? I’m just speculating. I can’t prove this. I’m just saying that
That’s what Ria said. Rivera said, nobody believes him. All right. So, he’s only speculating. Only speculating. which he knows that some SDAs will take hook line and sinker as truth, which they do because they basically worship the ground that this guy walks on, some of them. But when we cross the great Adventist divide into this camp of the sect, you have the uh the Jesuits are behind everything branch of Adventism who are a complete 180 from what we just heard. And his claim is that the Roman Catholic Church, specifically the Byzantine, right,
Yes, is the source behind the creation of Islam. What are your thoughts on that? How accurate is that to Islam’s roots? And any final thoughts that you have before we shut things down here? By the way, there is a Catholic apologist, Catholic Truth, who responded to Walter V’s nonsense on the Roman Catholic Church creating Islam. So if you want to see a Catholic response to be fair to give them their chance respond, Catholic truth has it. But coming back to the issue, did you understand what he said? The source of his information, it was Alberto Riviera.
For those of you who don’t know Alberto Riviera, he died in the 20th century. Don’t give me don’t ask me the exact time, the date. Alberto Riviera claimed to have been a Catholic priest who then became a Jesuit and was being trained by the Jesuit to infiltrate the Protestant churches to divide them. But then he got converted. Who picked up on his story? Jack Chick. Chick Publications. Chick publications produce these chick tracks, cartoon tracks where they try to preach the gospel of Christ and also warn about specific sins. They are notorious for
Producing tracks attacking the Catholic Church, the way for God and so on, but based on a lot of faulty information, inaccurate sources. And one of the sources for Jack Chick happened to be Alberto Riviera. He claims he was told by his his whatever you call it the guy above him the guy was giving orders in the Jesuit order society of Jesus that Islam was started by the Catholic Church because Muhammad’s first wife Khadijah baited and by the way Jack Chick did a comic book about it it’s called the prophet so if you want to get the story and see how funny it is
How laughable and sad and pathetic it is In chick publications, they took Alberto Riviera’s claim and made it a comic book. It’s called The Prophet. It’s all there in details. So, according to Alberto Riviera, his overlord, whatever term you want to call it, his boss and the society of Jesus and the Jesuit orders told him was a nun. So the pope asked her to go to Arabia to find a man that she could marry and tame and make him a tool of the pope to control the Arabs to consolidate the Arabs under the power of the pope. Yeah. This is the find it. It’s called the
Prophet. So she found Muhammad, made him fall in love with her and she groomed him to a prophet. But he was out of control. the power, the money got to him. So he rebelled against the pope and then start an empire to attack the Catholic Church. So it exploded in the face of the pope. It exploded in the face of Rome and Islam became out of control. This is the theory. Who’s the source? Alberto Riviera. Did he quote any ancient historical documents, archaeological inscriptions, references from that time period or afterwards? Zero na zip. The earliest reference on Islam comes
From John of Damascus, John the Dams. He’s actually considered a saint in the Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox and Catholic tradition. and he’s considered the last church father from my knowledge that both agree to. Right. Anyway, he I hope it’s not buffering. Is it buffering? I hope not. Anyway, he wrote a tract against Islam. Do you know what he said, guys? John of Damascus, John Deisine. You can read his work in translation online. It’s online for free. He was writing in the 8th century 700s in Syria because he was working for the caiff. So he wrote a chapter about
Islam. He mentions different books of the Quran, some of which don’t exist anymore. So that means he had written sources from Muslims that were called Quran that don’t exist, that never made its way into the Quran we have today. He’s one of the sources used by scholars of Islam to show that the text of the Quran was in flux. It wasn’t stabilized. It only became stable later on because he mentions the book called the camel. Well, there is no book of the Quran called the camel. But he had that book. He called it Quran and he read it anyway. He says that Muhammad was
Actually a follower of Aras that there was a Christian Aryan who believed in Aryanism. What Aras taught about Jesus as being the first creature and he groomed Muhammad and taught Muhammad to preach Aryanism. So the actual historical data, the actual historical sources from people who are living closer time Muhammad say Muhammad was an Aryan. He promoted promulgated the view of Aras because there are still aryens alive who are teaching their heresy and that Muhammad’s Christian teacher was an Aryan who taught him the doctrines of Aras. Ironically, I actually wrote an
Article where I quote from the hadith and a Muslim acknowledges that Muhammad threatened the emperor of the Byzantine Empire, Heraclus. Whether it’s true or not, we don’t know. He says, if you don’t become Muslim, then what you did to the is going to come back to bite you. meaning what you did to the followers of Aras. In this hadith, Muhammad is being acknowledged as a defender of Aras and Aryans and Aryanism. Let me show you the article. I did a session on it, but I may have to do it again because you guys have forgotten. So, what’s my answer? Tell Walter
Vegets. Stop the crack because this is your brain when it’s stone, especially on the Black Stone. But let me now get you the article. There’s no truth to it. It’s silly, man. So, I don’t know. But if that suffices as a response, yes, it does. I was again just curious to hear your thoughts. I I remembered that. I I’d seen that a while ago, and I was like, I want to throw that in at the end because I like how he specifically uh said it’s not just the Roman Catholic Church, but specifically the Byzantine, right? It’s the Byzantine right that created uh Actually, I do have a
Question on on what you something you said there, though. do that if you can screen share and show the article because I can’t share the link. Here’s the archive. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. From Muhammad and there it shows that Muhammad claimed to be a defender of the arisene meaning followers of Aras and he threatened the Byzantine emperor that what you did to the Aryans will fall upon you. But go ahead. You were saying what’s your question? Let’s show your article there so people can see that. So there it is right there. Guys, my question was I just want to make sure
I’m understanding this correctly. Did you say that Jack Chick is the originator of this or he just published this? Is he the root the fountain head for this claim? You heard who he mentioned, right? Walter V. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, if you heard what I said, I didn’t say it was Jack Alberto Riviera. No. No. Right. Right. But but this claim that Walter is making, you’re saying it was published in a Chick track. Yes. And so did that argument did that originate did that argument originate with Jack Chick? This which one? Riviera is the the culprit behind this
Theory that originated with Jack Chick or somebody else. No, Jack Chick. Because you’re confusing me how you’re wording. You’re saying is he the originator? How can Jack Chick be the originator when it’s Alberto Rivera? So confusing what you’re asking me. No, the what the argument that Walter is making is he’s appealing to this guy Alberto Rivera. And you said that same argument is published by Jack Chick. Did he popularize that argument? Yes. Popularizing it is one thing. Originating is another Alberto Rivera worked with Jack Chick. Alberto Riviera was made famous by Jack
Chick. Okay. Jack Chick published Alberto Riviera’s so-called conversion from being a Jesuit plant in comic books. It’s on Jack Chick. You can put Alberto Riviera. And then he wrote a book defending Alberto Riviera’s claims after Riviera died because there are Christian organizations who expose the farce of Alberto Riviera. But what Jack J also did was publish Alberto Riviera’s story about Islam being created by the Vatican. Yeah, it’s called the prophet. It’s there. I got you. I was just the the reason I was asking and I’m just curious is just
Because uh well there’s some stuff I want to do on my own regarding um that. And so I was curious. I I didn’t know Jack Chick was involved. Uh Oh, yes. But that’s interesting. I was just shocked when I heard when I heard that I was like Chick tracks here. Let me let me Well, of course of course he’s getting this from a freaking chick track. Well, I’m going to I want to what I’m going to show you is I’m going to go to their website, but you’re going to have to screen share so you can see it. I’m going to type in Alberto Rivera.
