Implicitly, yes.
In their official Statement on the Biblical View of Unborn Life and Its Implications for Abortion the Adventist Church states that while they do not condone abortion, they understand life is challenging and there are circumstances where someone might need to follow through with one. Many have suspected that this lackadaisical, watered-down approach is due to the large amounts of revenue their hospitals, particularly in California, generate in performing abortions which do indeed make their way into the SDA organization, even if the hospitals are not their churches.
This tacit compliance by the Adventist Church is also an insight into how their battle cry of being “the commandment keeping church” doesn’t extend equally in all directions.
